College Football Random Thought of the Day

#1 ranked team should never have multiple false starts playing at home. Texas defense played well. Nothing you could do if your nfl qb puts up 17 passing yards in the 1st half

Texas needs another RT. Multiple false starts and allowed pressures from him. Couldn’t utilize the best player on offense #7 due to the bad pass blocking

They were argued as best oline in country. Catching a one loss Georgia had Georgia hungry.

Texas finally introduced to SEC

You gonna have to battle over and over again

Former Nittany Lions defensive end Jameial Lyons, 19, is charged with felony rape, aggravated assault without consent, voluntary deviate sexual intercourse and misdemeanor indecent assault without consent and invasion of privacy without consent.

Former Penn State linebacker Kaveion Keys, 19, is charged with felony rape, aggravated assault without consent and sexual assault and misdemeanor indecent assault without consent.

Lyons was released on $500,000 bond by Centre County Magisterial District Judge Donald M. Hahn during an arraignment Wednesday; Keys was released on $400,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.

After Wednesday's practice, a reporter started to ask Franklin about the criminal case. Franklin walked away from the microphone, and a university spokesperson read a prepared statement: "Regarding the two former Penn State football players, we released a statement yesterday and our program and athletics department will have no further comment."

They’ll be at least #12 at the end of the season
That might depend on their game next week against Tennessee. If they lose then they should be ranked lower than Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee since they've lost to all three. That could still have them at #12 but will that be enough to get them into the playoff?

Nevada and Boise St game is extremely tight (a lot of missed opportunities by Nevada).. Refs are starting to get flag happy though. Ashton Jeanty is fun to watch, he can pick up a blitz too.

Man TOUGH loss for Nevada, they outplayed Boise St, but just couldn't get out of their own way. Self inflicted mistakes all night.

Found this on the interwebs:

How it'll work: The five highest-ranked conference champions will automatically make the playoffs. The top four of that group will be seeded No. 1-4 and have a first-round bye.

  • Of the remaining teams, those seeded No. 5-12 will face off Dec. 20-21 in a bracket-style Round 1 hosted by the higher seed.
  • The winners will play the four conference champions in the quarterfinals Dec. 31-Jan. 1.
  • Two semifinal bowls on Jan. 9-10 and a Jan. 20 National Championship game in Atlanta will follow.

Yeah I understand how it works a bit. In theory a conference champion from the Big 12 or Pac-12 that is ranked outside the top 12 will automatically make the playoff and force a higher seed from missing out. Somebody from the SEC has to be in danger of being that team I would think.

BYU & Boise State could get bye's over teams like OSU & Texas... wonder how long that will last
