I'm sure FO will be looking at every possibility to creating cap space in the near future - especially now they will have one huge cap eater in a few years. And you don't want a waning talent with no effective proven eventual replacement. Why does this seem to bother so many posters?

Oh yeah, absolutely, but I think it would be wise to first find, and then groom his eventual replacement.True, but if Tunsil keeps playing at his current level ,he will continue to be the LT.
Agreed and this will probably happen next offseason. I do expect an OT to be drafted sometime in this yrs draft.Oh yeah, absolutely, but I think it would be wise to first find, and then groom his eventual replacement.
I wouldn't want to leave it to the last minute.
That kid Glover is very intriguing.Agreed and this will probably happen next offseason. I do expect an OT to be drafted sometime in this yrs draft.
From what very little I've seen of him he has talent. Might need to trade up into the 5th for him or use 4-127 on him. That kid Glover is very intriguing.
Cap likes captains… So I did a quick search on the OL prospects for day 2:
OTs: Kingsley Suamataia and Patrick Paul were both team captains
OG: Christian Mahogany was also a team captain.
I really like Suamataia and Mahogany in particular because they would bring a nastiness/mean streak to the running game. I would not mind grabbing both on day two and having two rookie contract starters ready to go when the team moves on from Howard/Mason. Both players have at least a full season starting experience at both OT (Suamataia) and OG (Mahogany) positions respectively.
Caserio has put this team in position where there are no glaring holes on the roster. So why not keep loading up the trenches until there is no doubt our OL is finally fixed?!
But can he kick?RB3 needs to be a special teamer.
Three time academic all big ten
Honorable mention all big ten special teams (2022)
Dominated the underwear olympics.
I hope they bring Corum in.

Some observations re T30 visits:-
No RB, TE or Safety.
1 DT, 1 IOL, 1 CB
2 WR, 2 ED
3 LB, 3 OT (1 more scheduled)
That's only 13 so far of 30 allowed.
There’s actually multiple OTs and 1 iOL. I’ll post the updated list1 OLineman worries me !
But...could it be a LG?1 OLineman worries me !

I was hoping they’d have a visit with Jenkins as well. I really like his play. There's one player who is conspicuous by his absence on this list - DLineman Kris Jenkins Michigan - and he is right around the area between the #40 - 55 range and I like this kid a lot.
Dude is strong as an ox.I was hoping they’d have a visit with Jenkins as well. I really like his play.
If he is able to reset the market he must be doing something correctWhy does this seem to bother so many posters?
What if Nick and Demeco do not think Howard needs to be replaced or depth solidified? That's my concern.I like seeing the OL prospects getting 30 visits. Think it is on the table round 2, especially with news if the Diggs trade.
Need to solidify the OL depth and find a replacement for Howard.
We'll know soon enough. What if Nick and Demeco do not think Howard needs to be replaced or depth solidified? That's my concern.
A very real possibility. I know Heck is disparaged on this forum, but he has stuck with the team through 3 coaching changes. What can possibly be the explanation? And Howard? What are the coaches being told about his recovery and return? If nothing else is done going forward, 3/5 of our OL will be different from last year. I can definitely see the coaches sitting tight. What if Nick and Demeco do not think Howard needs to be replaced or depth solidified? That's my concern.
Amegadjie is a Yalie FWIWAdd Matt Goncalves Pittsburgh as an OT who was a team captain that got a top 30 visit. Experience starting at both tackle positions.
And now Christian Jones gets a top 30 visit. While not listed as a team captain, has 48 games starting experience and was a 3x academic all big 12 player.
A reminder about DeMeco Ryans:
Out HC was a 3x academic all conference selection. He also won the top VIII award given to eight student athletes in division 1-3 recognizing athletics, scholarship and community service. He values smart players on and off the field.

Based on that criteria, Texans will draft WR, TE, IOL, Safety, edge rusher, DT, RB and corner in top 90.Given the number of top 30 visits with Tackles, I'd say they'll be drafting one in the top 90. Also, with all the contact with Kamara and McCaffrey, I'd be surprised if the Texans didn't pick them both.
Done. Can we move the Sweat conversation to a different thread? Doesn’t really fit here.
These are 2 guys I didn’t imagine us bringing in.
