Texans vs Ravens Week 1 Game Thread

Passing numbers not great, but NO INTs is promising. 10/13 55yrds 0TD 0INT. Meanwhile, Jackson is 7/9 60yrds 0TD 1INT. So, at the half, you can say so far CJ is slightly playing better than Jackson. Keep in mind I'm at work so I'm following the game by stats. 7-6 at the half is honestly better than I expected. Hopefully we can keep playing as good or better than the 1st half. And maybe CJ or Damien can get a TD or a few!

CJ looks like a rookie QB, but one with promise. He overthrew, badly overthrew, several passes. He had several that were just right on the money. I think our new QB shows promise. At least so far. LOL

I don’t like 20 passes to 13 runs. Sure game script at the end of the half had something to do with it but I want to see a steady dose of Pierce/Singletary in the second half gassing out this defense. Then let Stroud pick his shots in advantageous situations.

Stroud missed open Dell in face of pressure.

Hope he can shake that. It isn't an issue we want to see become a problem

I’m happy. CJ getting in stride. D looking solid. Hopefully Will Anderson gets goings sack wise. This is a solid first game for a brand new team. We’ve got something to build on. just wanna see some injured players return.

I’m seeing the guy across from him (mostly Greenard) getting opportunities, reminiscent of Antonio Smith, Anderson is already having an effect no doubt.

We only have thrown 13 passes according to the stats. With no picks. Really need to get DP going in the 2nd half. If we can, I think the deeper throws will start opening up as DBs will play closer to the line.

Yeah we need software that on every penalty against our team, searches every other NFL play. If another player gets away with a similar call our player get a 'precedence' call.

I did this in elementary when I told Mama you let my brother get away with it.

I still don't understand why that didn't work.
