Texans random thought of the day

They need a fresh start. Stoerner, Locker and "Show" all suck.
Agreed. I could care less about Locker and his drug use, Bubba Stoerner and Mama and Hughley and his spasmo rants. I saw him on Texans 360 once and he actually acted quite professional. Producers must have given him a pill or something before hand…

Remember when people wanted Dabo Swinney as head coach?
I remember when our coaching was so bad we were trying to come up with a solution anywhere we could find one. Evidently you do not remember that. You are very fortunate.

We know what the round table is for and it certainly isn't conducive to winning championships.

If you want to see ownership committed to winning championships then look no further than how Crane runs his org from the beginning of the rebuild until current day. He didn't care what the fans thought or have fan councils. He hired Luhnow and let Luhnow and his people do their jobs. Crane only stepped in for the big money contracts like JV's. BTW, Crane is rolling in money over on Crawford..

All I ask is for people to compare and contrast the way the two orgs are run and why you think the McNair's will ever win a championship? Is it even a priority for them?

Crane shows that even smart owners mess up.

Look at what he let Bagwell do and keeping Dusty a year longer than needed.

Did Crane make one good hire in Luhnow
and is now screwing it up?

I remember when coaching was so bad that we wanted to promote a player who had never been in the coaching profession to straight to HC. Josh McCown was the name we wanted.

Wait - that wasn’t us. We aren’t that dumb. That was the ownership.

Sorry. Wrong memory.

Ownership hasn't changed ..... but the perception around them seems to have.

They did one thing right in hiring Demeco - that blind squirrel found a nut.

Howard did not at practice this morning. His hand swelled up and he has been placed on IR. This soon after Howard's type of surgery, like any limb injury................it needs to be elevated.........wearing a heavy club which he mostly let dangle was very predictable of undue swelling and setback. As I predicted in trying hit the opener, haste makes waste.

I rarely read anything about fantasy football but found this surprising about Dameon Pearce:

Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dameon Pierce of the Houston Texans are among the fantasy football running backs to avoid in lineups for Week 1, ac...

Stupidity continues in rushing injured back onto the field.

Anybody who has Dameon Pierce ranked 24th in the league as a RB isn't worth listening to, because that's just plain bullshit. He isn't the best, but he damn sure ain't 24.

we dont have the draft capital to land Evans...so no idea why Tank would change his number...especially that early in the process...wait till he gets here and buys it from you...dont just give it up before talk even begin....

Expound? 9 years never under 1,000 . 30 YOA
IMO, he's a piece to a squad that will be a contender. We're in rebuilding mode and I'd like to see an infusion of youth that can grow with the team to be at it's peak. Evans is 30 and still an extremely reliable WR who I see more as a possession and red zone type of threat at this stage of his career. I envision 2 more years of good productivity and then a steep drop off. I'm also against using draft capital 3rd round or above to acquire older vets on expiring contracts. I want to see this team draft and develop it's future especially since we know we're probably in for a bumpy ride at least this year.
