Texans random thought of the day

This whole "gottcha" act is old as f @steelbtexan. New coach. New qb. New spin on ownership. At least wait for the first preseason game before spouting off all the "I told ya so's."
No I gotcha here. Where did you get a gotcha moment out of that post.

I just don't believe in what the McNair's are selling. 5 decades of failure by 2 different ownership groups will do that to a long time loyal fan.

Not to mention this team would not finish low enough to grab any of these so called HOF QBs coming out in 24 even with Mills starting
If Mills is as bad as some think this wouldn't be an issue. What do you think Vegas would have had the o/u on the Texans win total in 2023? Plus Caserio would have extra picks to move up if needed. Add this in with the fact that I like 3 QB's better than any QB in the 2023 draft and even if you disagree with my thought process, you surely can understand where I'm coming from. Sadly Janice/Hannah/Cal have roughly the same amount of patience that Bob had and put marketing 1st in true McNair fashion.

I’d really like to see the Texans use George Fant like the Seahawks did as a 6th OL/extra TE. He would help the Texans be a bully in the run game with his size/athleticism!

This wouldn’t be like when the Texans used to trot out Davenport as a 6th OL. Fant has TE athleticism. Eric Tomlinson, a player I had making the team and am happy they re-signed just for this type of role is an excellent blocking TE but his RAS score pales in comparison to Fant’s. Teagan Quitoriano also has a lower RAS. Fant’s 4.84 40 would have been 1st in this year’s draft for OL and 37” vertical would have tied for 1st. 7.20 3 cone would have been 1st. 34 7/8” arms on a 300 lb frame.

He is long and a freaky athlete with 60 NFL starts as an OT. The Texans would have the luxury of using him in this jumbo package and “building a bully” in the run game!

Fant RAS:

Tomlinson RAS:

Quitoriano RAS:

You think having non football people making football decisions is going to lead to a championship?

Nice theory….anybody else biting on your theory?

Who really gives a shite how this team has been constructed…..at the moment, this team, as constructed is on its way to being one of the best young teams the Texans have ever assembled.

They’ve never put their puzzle pieces on the table in the right order….but this year feels different b/c the plan looks far more long term.

Maybe if you say it a hundred more times in a row we will get it Or it will get you committed.
If people quit asking why I think this way or need an education on Houston professional football ownership, I will continue to remind people that the McNair's are no different than the Adams. Except they contribute back into the community way more than Bud ever did. I'm very thankful for Amy's contribution during Harvey. Maybe the apple does fall far from the tree.

If people quit asking why I think this way

I have said this many times. It’s a rotation of posters that ask you the same thing over and over and over. Trying the gotcha game over and over is old. People complain about your posts but never about the people who engage you. Or people who talk about you but not at you and expect you not to defend yourself.

It’s old and everyone guilty all around.

I've tried several times to persuade posters from constantly digging into content they find disagreeable when it's just done in hopeless circles. Just let those posts die alone without tilling up the new/regurgitated versions. No matter how abhorrent you thing the content of them are, just let them whither away until they are fewer and fewer from lack of new stimuli.

The only way there is success is for people to complain about posts saying “don’t try to change steelbtexan ‘s mind” are posted too much, that they get it already, and steelbtexan isn’t an issue.

We have said and quoted each other about it before. It is redundant for us, but apparently people still aren’t getting.

So my opinions are abhorrent?

Last year San Antonio quit telivising regular season Texans games. Do you know if that has changed?
idnk I'm expecting that most if not all games will be televised again like it used to be. Yes last year it was so bad they stopped airing the games in favor of other games. I was not happy no matter the Texans record. CBS and FOx broadcasts are shown on their website schedule 🙏

Yet you are so certain that you know what's going on behind closed doors on Kirby. :hmmm:

The truth is you're nothing more than a town crier yelling out the latest gossip.

A town crier who gives opinions based on what he's seen from ownership over the past 2 decades. It was the same way when Bud was down on Kirby. There's not much difference between the 2 ownerships, in fact this wont be possible around these parts, but a case can be made that Bud was a better owner than the McNair's are. Of course the McNair's are stiil learning how to be NFL owners, while raking in billions. Truth is that I feel almost the same way about the McNair's as you do about Easterby. (We've been sold a bill of goods for the past 2 decades.) If that makes us town Criers then so be it.

I don't know why you bother
