Since some love History around here so much. History has shown one particular member will always point blame. Especially when a certain player, coach or GM wasn’t his choice.

agree but many of those thought the lawsuit ruled Ryans out. I will try to find article I read that said Texans thought so also and did not reach out to him immediately.

I agree. For me, I'd be stoked if they picked Will Anderson. Let DeMeco build his defense. If you can stop them from scoring, it makes the job for the offense that much easier.

I think we can roll with the edge guys we already have. DT is a much bigger need. I have Carter rated a little higher than Anderson anyway, so since Carter is also in a position of need, he is my top pick. I'm my mind, Carter is the best player in this draft. However, if Chicago takes Carter with the 1st pick, I'm trying to trade down. Including Anderson, there are 3 or 4 Edge guys going in the top 10, so depending on how they fall, and the pick I get with the trade down, I'm taking WR Quentin Johnston with one of those picks, and one of those edge guys with the other. If we miss on Carter, I'm trying to get Mazi Smith in the 2nd.

I'm hopeful we rise above mediocrity don't get me wrong, but just like I counted every game @Indy a loss until they proved they could win @Indy.

Until the Texans prove they can choose correctly, I'm going to believe even the right choices are still, somehow, wrong.

I find this so...bizarre and sad and insane. I'm not convinced VY should have been the pick/would have succeeded here, but to base that decision on a college rivalry is doing a massive disservice to the team. Got to say it tarnishes my image of Kubiak.

To be fair, it could just as easily been an evaluation thing. Considering VY's lack of a work ethic with the Titans, maybe Gary saw it coming?

The Aggie/UT rivalry was probably just low hanging fruit.
 
Kinda feel after the 9ers year. Safe to build the team where not if but when your starting qb goes down the team can keep chugging along

You can build up the defense all you want. But if your offense is trash, that would actually hinder the defense. We of all people should know this fact DB. And that go both ways because we’ve seen the offense was solid but the defense was trash.
Therefore, the objective should be to build up both sides of the ball. Last year’s draft imo they did a solid job of attacking both sides of the ball. I see them doing that in this years draft. Honestly I believe their first pick will be a quarterback. They can not go into the season with the group we have now. That was by far the worst quarterback room in the NFL. This is a passer league, so you can best believe they main objective will be to get a quarterback.

1. Cal still not comfortable
2. Nick says "right"
3. Pancakes gets first question
