He has extreme quickness in and out of his breaks that's his outstanding trait and the reason he was the go to guy on 3rd downs and in the RZ. He's very talented in that he ran a 4.5 and unlike some WR's he runs just as fast in the 4th qtr as he does in the 1st qtr. This is a skill in itself.

How can his health be worse than Metchie? Metchie had an acl in SEC champ game, Pickens played in the National Champ game after his acl. They could've just drafted Pierce who has 0 health issues and is a deep ball big deep ball catcher. We will see, but Texans need speed on the perimeter. Maybe Metchie is going in the slot, but Cooks is more of the move player. I mean Skyy Moore went after Metchie

I’d like to get a Y TE, RB and edge coming out of this draft. Maybe add a safety who is a candidate to play single high or another reliable outside CB prospect like Coby Bryant.

I think they get Ruckert with the next pick here. Top 30 visit need position and they have been alternating defense/offense.

Second guess would be Myjai Sanders.

RBs they visited with Spiller/Haskins/Ingram but not top 30. I think one of these will be there with a 5th and I bet their target is Haskins.

Maybe get Anenih (top 30 visit) or Tyreke Smith later if they don’t go Sanders with 107.
 
Now if we’re talking best talent available.. its hard to argue against adding Tariq Woolen and letting him get molded as a defensive chess piece by Lovie. Can’t believe his measurables didn’t get him drafted already.

To Texans credit they are taking production over measurables for the most part. Which I prefer.

All but Pitre SEC players and all of them 3 year starter all conference and/or all american accolades.
 
4 rounds in and I don't feel like the Texans have moved the needle at all. I feel like we drafted another Kevin Johnson with the #3 overall and XSF at #15.

Oh well, we'll see. I could be wrong and they've knocked it out of the park.
 
The Texans have the 2nd pick starting today, and could still get an excellent player. After that, it's two lower round picks in the 5th and 6th. Given Casino's behavior so far, I think it's safe to say we'll be trading again at some point.

Would y’all take a chance on Wydermeyer in the later rounds despite his awful pro day numbers?

His tape is decent and could potentially outplay his draft slot.
 
I've noticed that all the published player rating sites (PFF, Bleacher Rep, CBS, ESPN, NFL and it goes on and on...) all seem to have a general consensus as to how the players stack up talent wise, and the draft pretty much followed those rankings, pretty much...there were always a few exceptions where a GM would pull a surprise. This year though, once you got past that initial 12 or 15 players, some of the teams were picking all over the place, may as well throw your papers you printed in the trash! I guess these GMs said to hell with it, I'm choosing who I want, when I want. We'd call them reaches I guess, but I've never the teams stray so far from what seemed like a general conformity within all the publications and the sports talking heads on where these players were ranked. All the rankings pretty much followed the same path.
It was different this year and it was fun watching these teams skip past 10 or 12 higher rated WRs and pick the one they wanted, it's been a bit different and it's livened things up.

I will be happy with any of these guys. Why not take a flyer on the punter with a 6th or 7th round pick. Dudes got an amazing leg and is the kind of personality that can fore a team and fans up.

We have two 5ths and two 6ths left. But I wouldn't count out another trade.

I would love for us to draft Woolen! He has huge upside! 6'4 205 ran a 4.26 at the combine...Love for him to work with Stingley every day!
He also met with the Texans a few days before the draft.
