There's a lot of talk about Pitts being included in the trade.
I've not seen this suggestion anywhere else.
What's the origin of him being involved by name?
Is there information from a media or league source or is it more of a Madden trade scenario being tossed around by hopeful Texans fans?
fans here want him

Just speculating on my behalf. Maybe a little hopeful.

Falcons relieved Brady back then Panthers no longer a threat. I don't think ATL is going to allow Saints to become an issue this far along.
I agree. I'm thinking Watson will waive the NTC sometime Monday. Atlanta will have worked the phones over the weekend and will immediately begin finalizing a trade with Ryan. The Watson trade will follow as soon as the Ryan trade is filed with the league, maybe as late as Tuesday. Should get done by 3pm.

Wishful thinking.

So pretty much wishful thinking?
perhaps but why not? You cannot get much without asking. Perhaps I come from a different place as for years certain posters have belittled me for my suggestions of trades and mocks. I find it hilarious that those same posters now not only often accept what I have proposed but now come up with their own. Comparisons to Costner in Draft Day movie and Madden's game, etc. Some thought I was nuts to suggest that DW could bring three round ones and two round twos and now it seems that is what is going to happen but even more.

I repeatedly said I wanted DW if found guilty to serve as much prison time as law declared. If not found guilty I wanted him GONE but wanted all we could get in trade. I was clobbered. Now that same poster has slowly changed his comments to say he wants same.

Wishful thinking perhaps but could happen.

I'm not against it. Just wanted to see where the discussion was coming from so I could set an appropriate level of expectation

I’m really curious to see what Atlanta gets for Matt Ryan and how that compensation could factor into a Deshaun trade. Orlovsky (I think) floated the idea of Cleveland offering up a 1st rd pick for him- which I find insane due to his age. Then again- Cleveland has a roster that’s ready to win and just a solid QB away. I think Atlanta wants to at least help Matt Ryan find a place he wants to go (correct me if I’m wrong but I believe he has a NTC?).

Matt Ryan 37 but PFF for 2021 76% 4,000 yards TD to INTs almost 2-1. As you say Browns have good roster and could be looking at playoffs easily with Ryan. Yes he has NTC but appears to have waived it we just do not know for what teams. I heard on 610 that he will not want to play in Cleveland's weather but I think he sees it or Indy as a place he could get ring before he stops playing.

Brady and Rodgers have extended the expected age range of NFL quarterbacks. If this were five years ago, I don't think Ryan would fetch more than a 2nd round.

Hey where is JB? I pray he’s ok. I’m surprised he hasn’t chime in on this yet.
I chimed in yesterday... we know who the finalists are and that they vhave reached agreement with at least 3 teams. I have nothing to add without reading every post and I am not up to keeping up with that. Been out of pocket the past 10 days or so

Saints are 30m under the cap and somehow hasn't cut one player and have 25m of dead money. I don't know what or how they do it, but they are the reason why the hard cap means nothing.

Again, when owners say they cant acquire players because of the cap then look at the Saints/Rams and know the owners are lying profiteers who put profits before winning.

He's likely to end up with the Colts, or Seattle.

You know….I wouldn’t be all that surprised if Mayfield wound up in New Orleans if the Browns land Matt Ryan. The Saints have a penchant for short QB’s. Pairing him and Taysom Hill could be interesting.

Texans should expect the Falcons to give up the following picks for Deshaun Watson:
2022
RD1-08
RD2-43
RD3-74
2023
RD1
RD2
2024
RD1
RD3

Texans would be getting a return of 7 picks which should be celebrated if accomplished.

Falcons would keep their return on Ryan…..which I would fully expect.

Texans would be adding 3 more solid picks to their 2022 draft. I’d still entertain trading out of the #3 spot for the right price. I’d like to see the Texans parley that trade back into another trade back. They could gain 2 xtra RD2 picks and another late round pick. That could give them 8 (2- RD1, 4- RD2, and 2- RD3) picks inside the first 100 picks. Pretty special way to kick off the first phase of a rebuild.

lol, I was just thinking I'd like to trade back into the 1st with a few 2's and 3's

I think it is possible that Baker will be moved to either Colts, Seahawks or someone else. Then Ryan will be moved. Finally Watson. A lot of moving parts.

Watson is indeed a home wrecker.

I actually think Ryan will be traded before Mayfield. If Watson is going to ATL then they are more motivated to move Ryan than Brown are Mayfield. I think ATL will shop to one of the QB teams not in their division, primarily Colts and Seahawks, who will know that ATL is desperate to trade and on a time table so they will low ball the offer to ATL then whomever is left is who Cleveland will try and deal Mayfield to because now that QB needy team will be desperate. You're right though Watson is playing the part of home wrecker and while these teams want him because of talent I don't see them being very happy with him going full diva and making them come begging with their hats in hand and then having to wait for the king to decide where he will have his throne. Billionaire NFL owners are not use to waiting on and begging anybody for anything.

I understand the hate for Watson around here, I truly do. But why is everyone surprised that teams are trying to get rid of their Qbs? Baker and the Browns were poised for divorce regardless of Watson, the writing was on the wall for Matt Ryan, especially once Stafford left Detroit and won a SB. I even floated the idea early in the season for us to grab him this off-season. Watson is in his prime and on the field a difference-maker. Teams were going to throw themselves at him once given the opportunity, and now they have it. And of course, it's teams looking to split from whatever QB they currently have, so why are you guys acting surprised?

Difference makers don’t go 4-12

I can see somebody was full of themselves last night.

Some thought or maybe hoped that there wasn't corruption in the DA'
s office and that there would atleast be a trial. Unlike you, some can admit they were wrong.

I want the other 2nd in this upcoming draft.
Caserio needs to use the Ryan situation to get it.

Have you noticed how Mark Berman has not been tweeting about Watson? I've heard that he is fed up with his arrogant antics, and has essentially chosen not to waste his time being sucked into a flushing toilet.

Berman is a smart man.

A true professional.

The best in Houston.
