DW4 Traded to Cleveland

Something I mentioned earlier -- Atlanta and Ryan's agent will agree to delay Ryan's bonus deadline if they believe they'll all benefit from a thoughtfully negotiated trade. They're probably working on it right this minute.

So Watson "taking the weekend to think it over" is just a cover story to give Atlanta, Cleveland, Ryan's agent, and even Caserio time to iron this out. Watson already made his decision yesterday, so his part is finished. He's already getting oiled up at China Spa.

This is EXACTLY what we want. The perfect scenario. Cleveland just sends that #13 to Houston, so we get #3, #8, #13 in 2022. Any of those can be traded down for more 2nd's, which is likely.

Not to mention the players we'd receive and a 1st in 2023.

This trade will indeed make Caserio's career.
It's not the # of picks that will make or break this trade as much as how those picks are used. Turning picks in to good players is the hard part.

That is what I am thinking as NC should say "you are messing with me using cap space from DW so I want what you get for Matt Ryan or Kyle Pitts."
Isn't likely. We're already getting three #1's, two #2's and more. Caserio is getting his asking price since day one. Atlanta trading Ryan, a valuable asset in and of itself, simply softens the high price Caserio asked for Watson.

Yes, I can see Atlanta coming up with this because it certainly will give them a bigger bang for the buck and capitalizing on their 2022 draft capital while also protecting future draft capital. Atlanta could almost get out of this in one fell swoop using mostly 2022 draft capital. Ryan if handled right could be a big down payment on bringing DW4 to Atlanta. That would allow Atlanta to enter 2023 with a respectable draft and a ton of salary cap space. Atlanta and Arthur Blank have some smart lawyers starting with Rich McKay, President of the Atlanta Falcons.

You just know Ye Old Oily One is just loving this. Everyone watching, tweeting, talking and he’s just taking his sweet little time slowly knocking each team out until his precious is chosen. Attention whore of the highest degree. I see Derrick on a chaise lounge, Victorian wig on saying English accent “Umm David my dear boy, call the Carolina peasants and tell them I’ve moved on and they‘re longer needed in my sweepstakes”. Maybe he already knows…

Yep, and I'm wondering if Caserio knew months ago that Atlanta was the right partner. They'll end up matching his asking price too perfectly.

Man we’ve got to get all these in before he’s gone and we turn the page but it’s been fun reading them, ya gotta be able to laugh at some of this stuff

Bro F this clown boy.

Not untrue but if we’re 50/50 on success of those picks I want more. I want 6 vs 3, 8 vs 4 not to say the file cle…err NC cant screw that up because GMs miss all the time. Just give me more

Is that what he doing Brisco Darling off of the Andy Griffith Show. Lol I had to go there because he’s one my favorite characters on that show.

Bruce Campbell had a short run series called The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. I liked Campbell's brand of humor so it's what popped in my head when I had to think of a user name 15 years ago.

I think so too. I think Watson decided on Atlanta and the Falcons said, "well shit, we've got to get rid of Matt first". Pushing back his bonus tells me this is the case. Gives them time to make a deal with someone.

I think Watson took offense to Atlanta saying they wanted a decision today. So he started throwing a fit. Then Atlanta was forced to concede to Watson, apologize and say take your time. Meanwhile Ryan was the professional and said I will give you an extension to get it done.

This is a done deal. Atlanta wouldn’t move the bonus date if it wasn’t all but ink dried on paper territory. This simply buys ATL time to seek a best trade partner for Ryan, iron out final trade parameters with the Texans, and finalize a restructured deal with Watson. It’s a cover story nothing more.

I doubt we get an official notification tomorrow but can’t rule it out. My guess is Monday.

fyi we aren’t getting Pitts. Let’s get back to reality. Lindstrom? Maybe. Give me the solid starting guard and a young dynamic corner, and the picks and I am a very happy camper. If it’s just the corner and picks I’m still happy.

I'm not sold on Lindstrom. He was very effective in Atlanta's offense, but he only weighs 308 pounds, very light for an OG, especially for an inside power blocking scheme. I'd look elsewhere.

perhaps unlikely but ATL wants more time to close a deal as the delay benefits them in not only moving now disgruntled face of their team and his $ but also brings them picks. It seems similar to selling a house and the buyer agrees to your price then at day of closing wants more time to sell their house to get more $. You might allow that if you have no other interested buyers but that isn't our situation as other buyers were willing to close the deal for what we asked.

It appears most reports and tweets today have been very skewed negatively towards Watson, for many different reasons. Looks like people in general are tired of Watson's "the world revolves around me" arrogant attitude. It would be a small leap for people to better understand his massage issues now.

He’s milking this crap out like Lebron did when he made the decision to take his act to Miami. Don’t be surprised if he holds a press conference revealing his decision then lol. Clown boy

But the deal is, we can't trade Watson until Ryan is traded first. The threat was, Atlanta pulling out all together, leaving the Texans with NO. Which would you prefer? Me, I want to finalize a trade with Atlanta.

Falcons relieved Brady back then Panthers no longer a threat. I don't think ATL is going to allow Saints to become an issue this far along.

There's a lot of talk about Pitts being included in the trade.
I've not seen this suggestion anywhere else.
What's the origin of him being involved by name?
Is there information from a media or league source or is it more of a Madden trade scenario being tossed around by hopeful Texans fans?
