Unless Watson was given permission, this seems like a contract no-noSo it was just now reported that Deshaun Watson himself reached out to the Falcons. I would think that would make them the favorites. I want number eight Kyle Pitts and I want both or second round picks
I doubt Caserio gets the 5 pieces he wants. So I doubt they'll be raising the price. Probably just trying not to fall further behind.
Nothing wrong with thinking. I could see replacing Cameron Erving at left tackle with Tunsil. The issue as you note is what can we get for him from Panthers. 3 round ones for Watson so how about 3 round twos beginning in 2023 or bringing in another starter such as Xavier Woods or Derrick Brown.Thinking out loud: Watson could tell Carolina he wants Tunsil as part of the deal to protect his blind side. Carolina can easily pay for it by cutting/trading Darnold. My question is how far into the future can a team trade away it's 1st RD draft picks? If it's 4 years or more they could do it. That would be 2022,2023,2024,2025 Panthers 1st RD picks.

You and Deja Vu should go back and read the article from sobleski that you quoted. At the end it said where would Cleveland go and I replied 1.6. I think if we get the six pick from Carolina that it could be flipped for a substantial package.Huh?
Which team are you dragging down to our level? Atlanta?Funny. I thought winning, culture, and a non dysfunctional organization were what he was looking for lol
Looking like we could have a three way bidding war. Atlanta may be Watson's top choice, but Carolina seeming may be the most passionate about making a deal. As long as Watson doesn't nix any of the three, this is going to work in the Texans favor. We may see Carolina really sweeten the pot. Has anyone seen any reports how strong Atlanta's interest may be?
This just in. Mike Ditka has been hired by the Saints to negotiate a trade for DW![]()
But he was behind the trade for Rickey Williams.

We wanted a bidding war and perhaps we're going to get one I still hope Carolina wins out based on what I want from them.
I wonder how Ricky would have done if he hadn’t been punished for smoking marijuana? Maybe that did help him with his mental health. It has been suggested as much in recent studies and application.
It helps players now that the NFL has relaxed is drug testing policies.
A trade to Atlanta would make the most sense, but would require Matt Ryan to agree to an amicable divorce. Is that a realistic possibility?
Half the NFL will be pulled into this entertaining novella before it's over.
Sorry I didn’t see that. Is Sobleski a sausage company in Elgin? You and Deja Vu should go back and read the article from sobleski that you quoted. Who might that be?
And, what if we already have a potential one?
What do they do with Ryan's toxic contract? So with Ridley on the shelf and Pitts to Houston who would DW4 throw to?So it was just now reported that Deshaun Watson himself reached out to the Falcons. YepWhich team are you dragging down to our level? Atlanta?
There's talk that an ideal destination for Ryan would be Indy, who has the cap room to absorb his contract.A trade to Atlanta would make the most sense, but would require Matt Ryan to agree to an amicable divorce. Is that a realistic possibility?

Easily the most interested ive been in the offseasonThis is popcorn time guys. This is as good as it gets for intrigue in an offseason.
Sure but of the three significant trading partners Atlanta, Saints and Panthers only the latter appears to be able to absorb his 35 million cap hit. I am not saying those teams cannot create cap space I just don't see it being very realistic. For example the Browns could ship us Amari Cooper but why would Watson want that? I still think Nick Caserio is keeping his mouth shut and has time on his side.Couldn’t Watson opt to go to the team with the potential lesser offering package?
He still holds that NTC.
Or has it been waived already to the teams he wants to visit that Caserio gets to choose? I doubt that.
Personally I believe you're 1000% correctA wonder if AFC South teams Saints and Falcons are only in it to raise Carolina's bid to drain the team and their future capital?
How can the Saints match Carolina?!?
Lol sobleski began at Bleacher report about 8 years ago.Sorry I didn’t see that. Is Sobleski a sausage company in Elgin?
CJ Stroud of Ohio State a redshirt freshman and from Alabama Bryce Young 2021 Heisman Trophy winner. I have Stroud ranked ahead.I'm not a big believer in Mills, but if he develops, that would be ideal. No idea who the great QBs are in 2023. 2022 looks pretty bad right now, so 2023 should be the target.
This the dream scenario for our GM because it's not just multiple teams bidding against each other for Watson, but they are all also in the same division.Looking like we could have a three way bidding war. I'd go ask Carolina to give me a reason or two to not meet with Atlanta tomorrow and get this done today.
The longer we wait, the more likely something bad is going to happen and all this craters!
What would Atlanta do with the 55 million dollar dead money? There's talk that an ideal destination for Ryan would be Indy, who has the cap room to absorb his contract.
Browns are out of it. I think Atlanta is just trying to drive up the cost to Carolina.
Arrogance? Why isn't that just good business sense his part?"reached out to them personally"
Man, haven't seen this level of arrogance in a while.
A true Nick Caserio fan would say that he considered this many months ago. It is all unwinding as he planned it.This the dream scenario for our GM because it's not just multiple teams bidding against each other for Watson, but they are all also in the same division.
Indy is desperate for a qb. What I heard on 610 is that Indy would immediately become a playoff contender with Ryan as their qb. So, I would imagine they could take on all or part of the dead money. What would Atlanta do with the 55 million dollar dead money?
I have been told that dead money cannot be absorbed by a receiving team As it was guaranteed by the selling team. Base salaries can be transferred.Indy is desperate for a qb. as Meghan Trainor sang It's All About the Bass not the draft picks.

After googling, this seems correct.I have been told that dead money cannot be absorbed by a receiving team As it was guaranteed by the selling team. Base salaries can be transferred.
That's not how dead money works. Atlanta would have to eat it. That's the only way AFAIK.Indy is desperate for a qb. What I heard on 610 is that Indy would immediately become a playoff contender with Ryan as their qb. So, I would imagine they could take on all or part of the dead money.
