Texans random thought of the day

Man I’m not about to play these games with you. I’m on here a lot and it’s it pretty amazing that you want to charge me up. But when those same people or a few others do the same thing to those that are optimistic. You’re nowhere to be found. Why aren’t you asking them the same question?

The team is good but if they win 4 games it’s considered overachieving.

like I said only in Houston. The radio station here trashes them. Most of the fans on social media dumps on them.

But hey it is what it is.

Go Texans! Prove all of these naysayers wrong. That’s one of the things I’m pulling for.

Is this directed at me? I gave you a simple question. You gave me a disjointed mouse trap.

Dont think that because I expect them to win 4-5 games I wont be pulling for them to win them all.

I will be because i want to see them succeed. Will they well of course not.

And Steel can you cool it with the Sexual predator stuff. We’ve heard you loud and clear, no need to beat that into the ground.

And what about you having a meltdown here. I expect a 4-5 win season win and you go all jack Torrance at the shining hotel. Wtf?

I'm not going to refer to him by his name, so I've chosen to refer to him by what he actually is Sexual Predator/POS/3rd string QB. Which would you prefer me to refer to him by, since all 3 is an apt description. Sorry if this upsets some.

Well just don't talk about him anymore if that's the case. Like I said we've all heard you loud and clear. You been like this toward the young man since day 1. He's made a big time mistake. Hopefully he learns from it one day. I'm pretty sure we've all made a mistake or two. No one is perfect.

I get what you're saying, but there's a big difference between what he was doing and making a mistake when we were younger. Sorry, as stuff comes out I will continue to post. Or of course post to rebuff the fanboys.

You know I’m not a fan of the young man anymore. This forcing a trade after signing a mega contract and using the excuses that he did as well as using cryptic messages on social media did it for me. Then add this extra off the field nonsense is the capper. But I’m not going to result to calling him out his name because of it. Especially not to tick off his support team on here. Even though I really don’t see them backing him up like that. They’re saying let it play out in court. Then they’ll pass judgment.

So now the narrative is if we win 4 games it will be considered overachieving. Only in Houston lol

I hope they go 21-0 .... but being honest , there's just not a whole lot of talent on this roster.

How many did they win last year ? I think it was 4 .... Do you really think this years squad is more talented than last years ? .... I don't.

Tyrod might have played the best game of his career last week .... Can he replicate that on a regular basis ?

Beating that totally unprepared poorly coached Jags team starting a rookie QB in his first ever start is one thing , beating a playoff caliber team in their place is another ....

How many did they win the year before.

When was the last time they had back to back season in which they lost 4 or less?

Again you can have the best talent but if they're not coached up or aren't prepared to play. They more and likely won't win much. Then you can have a team that less talented, and win 10+ games because they prepared and well coached.

In Buffalo Taylor had several good games in 2015 and 2016. He's a game manager who doesn't turn the ball over at a high rate. Therefore, as long as he protect the ball and Kelly continues to put them in position to make plays and score. Taylor could very well put up similar numbers.

A win is a win. Most of yall had the Jaguars beating the Texans way before the season started. So let's not change up the narrative with an excuse of " the Jaguars wasn't prepared".

Agreed, but the Jags weren't prepared. Good thing is the Texans play them again this yr. They should win that game, who doesn't think they will win more than 2 games the rest of the season to achieve winning atleast 4 games?

I get what you're saying, but I not only think this team is more talented. Better OL/DL/RB's/Slot WR/TE and on defense DL/LB's/Better slot CB. They also have much better depth, which should give them an advantage as the season goes on and their opponents start to take on the injury bug. Heck the injury bug has already hit the Browns. Not that I expect the Texans to beat the Browns.

The Titans looked unprepared as a whole last week. They still don't have a good defense and Coach V is already losing the locker room. And guess what they have darn good talent. Their running game will wake up and Tannihill is solid.

The Colts really doesn't have a good quarterback either. Plus Wentz can't stay healthy either. They do however have a solid running game and defense.

We seen what the Jaguars have.

Therefore, this division is up in the air for right now IMO.

It's going to be an interesting season.

Who do they bring in at QB to backup Mills now? Taylor out, Watson doesn't play, probably bring back Driskel?
He’s on the practice squad

And you might be right. I was laughing because I know Thorn is opposed to that idea.
A lot of people are opposed to the idea because of Cam's one time immaturity. I don't see the Cam of today being anything like the old Cam. He has had to humble himself quite a bit. I don't see him pouting or carrying on about losing or struggles he and/or the team has. I doubt this Cam throws anybody under the bus so to speak. I see him being a good teammate at this stage in his career and being greatful that he still has a chance to play. I don't recall Cam being a jerk or bad teammate while in NE. He seemed to be of a much better temperment.

I would prefer a healthy Taylor to a healthy Newton though
I would as well but it does not look we will have TT for a while. I hope we do, but if not there is not a whole lot of quality options left to us. It's possible Cam somewhat resembles his old self because he is a good fit for us. I don't expect MVP Cam but half of that may be enough to keep us respectable while he plays.

They've gotta find out if Mills can play Take the 4-5 win season and let's see if this young man is the future.

I doubt they bring anybody in who would be active on Thursday. Just not enough time to learn anything. Driskel will be the backup Thursday.

They may eventually bring someone in, depending on the severity of Taylor’s injury, but it won’t be for Thursday night.

Sounds like Cunningham has an issue with showing up to work on time:

The Texans had some issues with the former second-round draft pick from Vanderbilt during the preseason with lateness.

Cunningham was a no-show for a preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and missed practice sessions leading up to that game before returning to work the following week, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

At the time, Culley characterized Cunningham's absence for the preseason finale as "personal reasons."
