Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

Why is he my guy? So the lawyer brings up his background and upbringing as if that matters. Then, if you believe Watson, he asked for money to make this go away. Top that off, no papers have been filed whatsoever. See, unlike yourself, I don't have grudges or agendas vs players. Even if I don't care for a player, I can be objective no matter the case. Believe what you want, but last I checked, there is something called due process.

Yeah might want to double check that part.

We should remember in America Watson is still innocent till proven guilty. His trade value sure has taken a hit though.

Do we actually know that for sure? NFL teams aren't all equal when dealing with "character" issues. I think all this is the best reason yet to unload Watson and just move on.

Just to be “that guy” if this was Louisiana h would be guilty until proven innocent because they are based off French law instead of England law. So I guess a trade to the Saints is out.

well what about now with reportedly 4 other women about to file suit?
I’d have to see the claims themselves. To blast out an Instagram post for every potential person to hop on board is to attract the worst of the worst. So, it doesn’t really change things for me, not until I see the information.

Stop it. The Texans have nothing to do with it. It’s a big enough issue that something is there for Watson to get Rusty Hardin.

Didn't drop blame on any one party.....I see three potential culprits and all three could have their reasons for making this public now.

I didn't know that you were so close to Watson that you can talk about his impeccable character.
Plenty of people who know DW4 can vouch for his impeccable character and many have already done so. It is not like he has a history of a bad attitude or any bad behavior. I get it that we are all PO'd at how DW4 has handled things but that does not equate what he is being accused of.

DW4 may be guilty but the timing of this leads me to believe this is simply a play for a lot of money. Hopefully time will determine the truth.

If I was going to entertain a conspiracy theory, I'd take a path I haven't seen taken yet.

The Texans and Watson are in on the trade request thing together. Hear me out.
Watson informs the team that lawsuits are coming.
They collaborate and drum up this trade demand scenario. Why? To give Deshawn a reason to sit out 2021, other than the lawsuit situation.
Yeah. As a theory, it's pretty out there. But it would answer a few questions about why DW requested a trade out of the blue. And why he was so cryptic and quiet about it.
Additionally it would give the team a clear path to recouoping his 2021 salary

As long as we're speculating. That's my wild one

Excerpt from the 2nd masseuse:

At the hotel, Watson got on the massage table, completely nude with his penis exposed, according to the lawsuit. The masseuse claims she then told him that he needed to cover himself with a towel, but that Watson told her he “gets hot easily” and would remain completely naked.
Watson “aggressively” redirected the woman to his anus and asked her to use more oil, making her uncomfortable, she alleges. Because she was a single mom of two children, she said she needed the money and continued.
He became more aggressive when she instead worked on his inner thigh area, and he told her to go higher toward his penis, she states.
The massage therapist said no, because that was not where his glutes were located, and Watson insisted she “come up more” to his genitals, the lawsuit reads. He moved in her direction, causing her hand to touch his penis, she said.
He flipped to his back, and the woman again asked him to cover himself, prompting another refusal, according to the lawsuit. She stopped the massage and said she needed to leave, causing Watson to grab her and hand, pull her toward him and say “it is OK, it is OK,” she said

This isn't good.

I posted them earlier. Seems like it could be legit

[conspiracy rabbit hole]

Interesting. . . :hmmm: I'm a sucker for a good conspiracy theory

Now folks know that I'm no fan of Jack Easterby. That said, it has been alleged that the primary reason for him leaving NE was the Kraft scandal. IF TRUE, I don't see him being any part of this. . .unless he really is fake and it's all about that power & money. . .so, if Jack resigns tomorrow, we know something is up!

[/conspiracy]

Back to reality, simplest explanation is often the right one. :howdy:

Help me to understand! First I am still a believer of due process, and will wait out the results, but why are so many ignorant to avoiding the appearance of wrong doing? Personally, if I had fame and fortune, I would be extremely protective of keeping both. I wouldn’t even trust a massage in a business complex and a home would never be a consideration (wouldn’t do that with clients either) unless I took a female with me for the session. The only way I would be alone would be very public places, then have a buddy or disguise ready if needed. You lose a lot of privacy but if innocent you’re not putting yourself in costly litigation that can still leave a smear on the reputation regardless of the outcome.

Yes, but that "massage" was at least a regular part of the business that he frequented even if not legal.

Exactly, Kraft was at a happy house. A bit different than Watson. And why would you go to a private home for a massage with the star power you have? Did he not remember what happened to Tyson calling a girl for a drink? This could be worse or get worse. Afterall, we have a 2nd massage therapist losted now. Not sure if they are saying he did or tried anything with them.

If they can keep their money, and save face for PR purposes, then they would absolutely do it. A way to get rid of your franchise QB and still look like the good guy to the fans.

And they’d be an even dumber organization than we already think they are. If they trade him now, all they lose is the signing bonus, right? I know they take a cap hit but in real money it’s just the signing bonus. They’re going to purposely devalue their chances to bring in a haul for him and boost their organization out of the abyss it’s in for $27M? I mean this is an organization who just gave a search firm $600k for nothing. An organization currently paying what, 3 GMs? I doubt they’re cooking this scheme up to rescue $27M. I don’t have any faith in this organization as much as anyone, but this would be dumb even for them.

Ooh. I’ve never bought a player’s jersey before but I’d get battle red, liberty white, steel blue, and the blue alternate Watson jerseys if he cooked this up to get the Pastor out of town. :bubble:

I don't think he is that smart. Let's face it Easterby has played the FO from day one to Executive VP... I think he trumps Watson in dirty pool

With this 2nd suit filed, there’s a clear pattern established of him seeking “massages” thru Instagram and then him throwing his junk onto the masseuse’s hand . If this is true, there’s nothing illegal about it per se, but it does paint the pic of him as a horn dog/weirdo.

People Gotta remember this is the same guy who was caught on video “chillin” with a well known porn star Mia Khalifa right before he was drafted.

he may have just nuked his endorsement deals and any of his leverage in a potential trade. Coming back to the Texans might be the best thing for him if this drags on and gets uglier.

My reply to DB wasn’t serious, of course. There is no conspiracy going on here from either side. It makes no sense to do so from either side.

This is something that 1) Watson did, or 2) it’s a money grab. That’s it.

Watson ain’t putting that on himself just to force the Texans to trade him and the Texans aren’t going to make it harder for themselves to trade him, lower his value for a trade, and not getting a kings ransom to help them put this dumpster fire of theirs out. Stop all the conspiracy bullshit.

Throwing his junk against somebody’s hand or forcing them to touch it is sexual assault.

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee filed a second lawsuit Wednesday alleging misconduct by Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The second lawsuit comes hours after Buzbee filed the first eight-page lawsuit against the Texans QB on Tuesday evening.
Buzbee, who made the announcement on social media, said his team would file the second of what now is four cases on behalf of women against Watson.

To delve into conspiracy...

I remember reading that Hopkins was traded partly bc of his perceived influence on Watson. There was also something about the McNairs or Easterby talking with Watson mother about the path he's been on. I don't know if any of this is true, so please comment if I'm way off base.

We also hear that Watson wasn't responding to the team *before* the Caserio hire. Buzzby apparently contacted Watson about a settlement late last year. Is it possible Watson went to the team expecting them to have his back and they told him they didn't believe him and wouldn't back him unconditionally?

Could this be where the whole loyalty issue is coming from? Once the team got wind of the suit they decided to move forward without Watsons input?

Just throwing it out there. I don't know if any of the above is true, but I think the team knew before yesterday.

Just thoughts...

plausible and it’s something I thought of as well.

Interesting...

Have no idea whether it is/isn't true or not. My only comment is it is weird AF to have instagram posts from a lawyer about pending litigation.
Completely agree...very odd. And a sleazeball lawyer move...though I read that Buzzby is a serious lawyer and not a Michael Avenatti type.

There is the scenario where a gold digging masseuse hires a seedy lawyer because a sleazy athlete who plays for a ruthless team got too fresh.

I agree with you. However, Easterby is going to want him gone ASAP I would think. He might not have a clue about football but his morals are very strong. Sexual charges are not something he will take lightly.

I can see Watson gone by next week
Dadburn that Deandre Hopkins leading Deshaun down wrong path....
