Hopkins traded to Cardinals?

Yeah, but when you're surrounding yourself with bad company like that it definitely tells me that your own mindset is potentially compromised here as well. Its the equivalent of living in Houston and having an issue with some business or law enforcement official and having Quannel X as your spokesman and representative on the news who is telling the story. People are automatically going to have side eye to you as well even if you may be telling the truth, because you're affiliating yourself with highly questionable characters with really bad track records on "player behavior" to make a case for you publicly. And again, Hopkins has acted childish before. I'm a big fan of his, but I wasn't a fan of his incident where he stormed off the team property over some of precious feelings being hurt over Mcnair's phrase that was perfectly reasonable that Hopkins allowed the media to stir up. You start hanging around Irvin and allowing Irvin to tell stories for you, and your character starts becoming a lot more questionable. It is what is. Irvin has always been around to persuade the public that guys like TO, Antonio Brown, Chad Johnson, and Beckum are all great guys who are just misunderstood behind all of their incidents.
He aint hanging out with him. Its that irvin called him as a journalist to ask whats going on.. hell it was DHop that got bill in the tunnel after bill started cursing at a fan.

I know there are 3 sides to every story. Somewhere in the middle is the truth. Bill has a track record of letting his emotions get the best of him
I havent seen or heard of DHop being a problem. But seems he is now.

:brickwall:

Jesus christ some of you guys are dense & ya'll act like ya'll are being asked to solve 1 of the millenium prize problems by just reading what is in a damn post & taking it for what it is. Where in any of that post did intimate i was DEFENDING BoB? Where in any of my posts about this particular subject have i intimated that i liked this trade?

I recommend the advice your other personality had 30 minutes ago.

Some of ya'll need to self-quarantine yourselves from the MB until you can get your emotions under control.

I had no problems with him cursing at the fan. That part was one of the dumbest things to bring up in story to me honestly. Not sure why you fell for that.

Again, Irvin is always "that guy" that is doing this for "diva WR's". He has defended and been out there to mansplain some of the most idiotic stuff for WR's and also bought some of the worst spin from some of these guys in the past. Do you think that Hopkins possibly may have said some things that may have offended or bothered O'Brien in their conversations too? If O'Brien made that public and started throwing out examples how many in here and through the media would call him unprofessional for it? How many would say that players will never trust the HC now? That should go both ways. Players leaking out random things that hurt their feelings is pretty elementary and Junior Highish to me. Running over to Irvin to try to persuade the public that O'Brien did all of these things that hurt your soul makes him look fragile somewhat considering his track record. Hopkins got traded and got what he wanted. This was bad reporting to me by ESPN as usual. They put the biggest jackass who defends all the jackasses to try to persuade the public the very next day or so that O'Brien was a racist or some bully now all because he made a really bad trade value wise.

WOW, just WOW. I never have liked this SOB from the very day they hired him as Texans HC. If this is true, and I have no reason to believe it is not, O'Brien has already lost the locker room for 2020. Texans may not win a game in 2020.
Hell they may not even come out of the tunnel for the first game.
Good to hear from you again!

And you could just as easily step your ass out of this particular thread.....yet you keep coming back. So on some level you enjoy it. We all know. "Logo over Player bruh!", or some idiotic nonsense after you homeboy O'Brien has so clearly been manhandled by anyone making a deal with him the past 2 years.

It's idiot nonsense to root for the logo rather than the player in it? Yeah, there's definitely some idiotic nonsense being spit around here....by you and a few others. Go cry about BoB & the trade on Houston sports radio like all the other babies..

Even if Cal fired him today, the damage has already been done. He's set this franchise back for a long time to come. A new guy would have nothing to build with since BLOB blew all of those future picks.

I really feel for DW. He should just focus on being a leader in the locker room so that BOB gets jealous and trades him for a ham sandwich and a late-round pick.

But he will have been stopped.

At least give us a chance to turn it around more quickly.

What drives this forum is hate and hate is not healthy. Better to just kick back and support the team regardless. Or not.

Emperor.jpg

Why are u guys still here posting if you’re so embarrassed, pissed and will no longer watch or support b/c Bob is still here? Like what good does it do to spam a fan MB with all this nonsense being posted? We get it, you hate BoB, you hate Cal and you hate everything that this franchise has done under BoB. Get over it already.

Like, **** I don’t care for or support anymore I completely check out on..See the Houston Rockets...can’t tell u the last time I went in clutch fans.

Who died and made you king? :um:

If you don't like it, then perhaps you can take your own advice.

The VY fanboys are a great analogy.

They're called WOF's now.

It was a stupid analogy. Nuk is most likely a HoF player that was drafted by and a leader of the Texans.

VY was a freakin' loser.

You know who else doesnt like the trade? TEXANS PLAYERS

Such a dumb analogy that it bring this to mind:

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said...is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
~ High School Principal, Billy Madison

More is coming out about O'Brien's motivations regarding this trade, and it is revealing him in a very bad light. Comparing Nuk to Aaron Herdandez in a private meeting? Calling out Nuk for having baby mama around? O'Brien is out of touch. He's a cancer in this franchise.

Michael Irvin: DeAndre Hopkins told me Bill O'Brien brought up Aaron Hernandez in pre-trade meeting

He told me, he said, Michael, it was a bit of a power struggle there because Bill O’Brien thought he had too much influence over the locker room. He called DeAndre Hopkins in a meeting to talk about this and to kind of get this — hash it out. In that meeting, he started the meeting with telling DeAndre Hopkins this — which blew my mind when DeAndre told me this. He told DeAndre Hopkins, he said, ‘Hey, the last time I had to have a meeting like this it was with Aaron Hernandez.’ I was like what? He put in Aaron Hernandez in this meeting? He said yes he did. He said, ‘Michael. that blew my mind that he would even bring that up, I’ve never been in any trouble, I don’t know why he would equate me with Aaron Hernandez.’
And from there the meeting just deteriorated. He got into talking about DeAndre Hopkins. DeAndre Hopkins has a few kids from different women and he said, you know, he told DeAndre that he doesn’t like that he has his baby mamas around sometimes. And from there I think the relationship just went bad and thus we got a trade of DeAndre Hopkins from Houston, for basically what I said earlier, a ham sandwich all because of that relationship.

The analogy wasn't comparing the players to each other, it was comparing the reaction of the fan base who just knew VY was the savior & was gonna win multiple championships. So yeah the analogy is apt.

For sure stereotypical which in this case is just as bad as the other

nah my guy ... there was no need for the innuendo if for no other reason than to be intentionally crass and demeaning on his part. cant spin it bro. "baby mama" is a term that is quite definitely aimed at a particular race. Then to lead off the meeting with references to Aaron Hernandez??? Appalling.

It's clear to just about everyone beyond the myopic fans that O'Brien is digging his own grave. This is pathetic.

Wowwwwwww!!!!!!! The chickens are coming home to roost.

OBrien needs to be fired immediately - he can pack up his short bus and get the **** out of town. Lets reward his unapologetic, ridiculous comments with more .. everyone here bites their tongues because of his special needs son .. that is done. Its all fair game now.

You're comparing fans of a TEAM reacting to a star player being traded for peanuts just days after it happened to a bunch of hype about a college player over a draft.

It might work in your mind, but it screams goofy in my mind.

Your seemingly inability to comprehend fan reaction is mind-boggling, but of course you do understand and just want to stir the pot and then argue about the results.

We can just agree to disagree.

The wisest thing to do was keep Hopkins one more year and see of the new WR they draft was going to replace him, but now we're going into the season with 2 Slot receivers and Fuller who can't last half the season yet. Cobb is injury prone as well.

:hankpalm:

Oh i comprehend it, its just irrational considering that most will still be sitting in front of their TV's 12 pm on Sunday...

& Oh yeah for sure it was hype...I & you are in agreement about that & the fact that VY wasn't going to be anything special in the league.. but the reaction around these parts was still the same & it was very much real in alot of Texans fans' minds..hype or not.

"The Texans would rue the day they passed on VY..." Heard that so much on the radio..read it so much on here too.

Exactly Irvin is not making this **** up. Why would he though?

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire

just like when Keenum released his book about OBrien telling him he wouldnt amount to more than a 3rd string QB. Just like when the man was caught on camera calling an opposing coach a "dumbass" .. just like when the man was caught on camera cussing out a fan. Now add to that fringe racist remarks and what can anyone really attach themselves to? AFC South banners ... Brian???

Its time. Its been time. No way can you keep moving forward with this pathetic excuse of a leader.

We all have opinions on players having multiple baby mommas.

The true sin here is O'Brien not distinguishing between business and personal beliefs. Unprofessional.

It’s especially ironic considering Bill O’Brien had the audacity to engage in a war of F-Bombs with a fan at NRG on way to the locker room at halftime of the Denver debacle.

i dont think he made it up....but in instances like this, there's always room for some things to be lost in translation or mischaracterized from Nuk to Irvin... Nuk himself has already come out & said that the narrative is spinning out of control...which is probably why he wanted to keep it all on the hush in the 1st place. We'll hear about it at some point when Feeno's brings him on his podcast

Dumb question.

He's made stuff up to defend guys like TO, Chad Johnson, and Antonio Brown types for years.

Its what he does. They're never in the wrong, and you really don't know what happened between both O'Brien and Hopkins either as O'Brien isn't running around "leaking" the dirty laundry everywhere. I'm sure he'd have his own tales to tell as well. It seems like most of you want a "one sided" league where the players control the coaches and the owners and get to act like babies 100% of the time. We already have that in the NBA and it has hurt that league.

O'Brien may suck as a HC and especially as a GM, but trying to persuade the public that he is potentially racist is low as hell. If that is the route that Hopkins decides to go in this, he'll pretty bad himself.

I can't believe this is what it's going to take for him to get fired.

And now we have no ability to get another ******* coach and we'll have to go on with all those other ex-Patriots cancers still around.

D Hop didn’t think this story would cause the reaction that it did, now he’s in damage control mode.

Now 0 Brien’s old players seem to be corroborating Irvin’s report.

If you need me to post articles on Irvin's 30 year history of doing this, then you have no business asking or even discussing the man. You've been under a rock this entire time then. Anyone who has paid any attention to the NFL even in the slightest bit would know this. Not about to waste my time if you aren't aware about the Irvin's history as a player and an ambassador for every diva WR that existed after him. He's a known ex crackhead for crying out loud.

That was the case once OB made those trades to get rid of all of the team's first rounders for the rest of the decade and then some.

He killed the ability to find a quality GM and HC right then and there.

There are several ex players speaking out on Obrien. And a player on this team just told my boy that stuff was true.

Both can be true...both can be false. Truth is somewhere in between..just like it was when McNair made that "inmates running the prison" comment...That old dude got portrayed as a racist for that across the nation & it ultimately was a chink in the armour for why Duane Brown wanted out. If i'm not mistaken, Nuk was also one of the guys who left practice early that day too. Regardless,

I think Nuk just wanted out & I think he probably had alot of people in his ear telling him he should dip...He's not wrong for wanting out. He was real close to AJ...I could easily see AJ giving him some practical advice about leaving b/c its probably what he wishes he would've done way back when in his career when he had the chance. He probably was like "bro, i know you don't want to feel like you're abandoning your guys here..but shits not going anywhere here as long as this dude is HC here consolidating his power...you might want to start thinking about getting out now while you still have it.." So he was probably "why not...& i could probably get a raise while i do this to".

And the only player to my knowledge that has come out and been man enough to go on record and say something is Jaelen Strong...in which case he lays the entire demise of his career at the feet of BoB...kind of hard to take him serious considering that he was able to move around & nobody wanted him. Swearinger can't really be taken all that serious either considering he's been released by several other teams for the same nonsense as well.

& if Nuk really believed that this story wouldn't cause the reaction it did considering the shock value his trade caused, he's either naive or dumb...& i don't think the brother is either.
