Texans Trade for Tunsil!!

All in all I thought last night this Miami Herald article looked suspicious. The added draft picks to a Clowney trade that wasn’t going to be made. Tells me “league sources” are yahoos who get a whiff of a small piece of something and feed it into a Twitter with their interpretations which were bs. This forum for a few here is gospel to twitter bs. Good commentary on this country actually. Don’t question nothing. Just use unsubstantiated bs for your own twisted purpose. Cool heads rule and I love the ones here that just stay calm and sort through the crap.

One thing is true, Watson is going to be a better QB next yr because of what went down today. I cant wait to see Watson operate without the pressure he was under the last 2 yrs.

I have consistently said tunsil is good but not elite.
 
all i know is id like to see "nastynate's" comments on this. beceause over in the 'trent williams' thread, he and a few others, let me know that no team would be giving up a 1st rounder for williams. well, the texans just gave TWO first rounders, and a 2nd for a tackle (and an ok WR). the OT IS younger than williams, but he also isnt as good as williams. something tells me if the redskins werent so stupid, they would have gotten at least a #1 for williams FROM Houston, in fact, the reason why i came here last week. didnt know washington could be more stupid then even I think they are....but looking at this deal, well, washington could have been dealing with their own, um, competence challenged team in houston. i like this deal a lot....for miami.

I went back and watched the Miami Bengals game 2018 earlier. Both were 3-1 in that game. Tunsil ended up with a concussion but man he is so effortless when he blocks. Just gets his hands on guys and stones them. It’s impressive. His wing span looks enormous on video. No idea what it is but it looks huge.

You may be right. Nest year they may be better than they would have been without the trades, but in the long run this team will not be as good as it could be if managed properly predraft, draft , and post draft.
BOB only cares about next year but not for the long term future of the Texans. He wants to save his ass. I agree IF Tunsil can fill a void and keep Watson healthy then that is a great thing but I think this could have been done more efficiently. This team will feel the long term effects of these trades. Trade JD predraft for whatever you can get.
Trade up for Dillard and save your firsts and be way ahead of where you are now. Broken down RB, 2 throw away defensive players, and just another WR.

The reason you have a competent GM is to keep your highly volatile little tea kettle from boiling over.

As always just my opinion.

That's just wrong. Especially with the Miller injury. That was not on Davenport. And on the cool that's coaching. Reason being: Coach should've ran the same line up he ran in preseason game 2. Martin shouldn't have been in there with the 1st team. Dude just came back and should've only seen action with the 2nds and 3rds. He was the reason why that particular play got blown up from the jump. Fulton should've been our center as well.

By my count we have spent three 1st, four 2nd, and one 3rd on the line in the past four years. There is enough talent to build a hell of an oline...everywhere except online coach. As you said...no excuses.

I don’t know why you’re salty? Because your idiot head coach just mortgaged your future paying a King’s ransom for Tunsil. Such an idiot he did it without a long term deal in place so it might just be a two year rental; that’s the kicker LOL

Why am I happy? For once we weren’t the idiots in a deal getting fleeced. You guys were, not once but twice today. We’re in a very good position going forward. I’m thrilled about the moves we made this offseason; not only today but a lot of solid moves which are definitely not the norm for my team
 
I think the Texans did the most important thing possible and that's protect Watson. Nobody ever said a word when the Pat's gave up picks for Welker. If you're a team that has trouble drafting a certain position, trade for an established player. Kenny Stills as a backup to Fuller is great. Now they have options on what to do about Fuller. Tunsil is a better LT than any free agent LT these last 2 yrs. Who cares about late 1st rd picks anyway? They have a qb , lt, de, hopefully db, and cap space. They're in a much better position now going forward than they have been in the last 5 yrs.

What options to do what about Fuller? They've already picked up his option for 2020. Stills last contract season is 2020. They're here for the exact amount of time.

I’m not salty, I just find it hilarious that a fin fan of all people is trash talking. I mean this pretty much says it all, just curious I did a quick google search for “Miami starting QB” and the top results were for the hurricanes. Even google doesn’t care about your team.

The Browns "fleeced" the Redskins in the RG3 trade but still came up empty handed. Don't be so quick to gloat...your franchise still has to draft well to make it worth it.
