Texans Trade for Tunsil!!

This is a nightmare.

Tweet from @RapSheet: Full Terms: The #Texans get LT Laremy Tunsil, WR Kenny Stills and a fourth rounder. … The #Dolphins get 2 first-rounders, a second rounder, ST Johnson Bademosi and OL Julien Davenport, per me, @MikeGarafolo and @TomPelissero.

Notice how when we traded our franchise LT we got a 2nd and a 5th. When we trade for one we give up two #1's.

This front office is consistently out-maneuvered by the rest of the league. If I was another team looking to trade, Cal McNair would be my first call because we get fleeced on just about every move.

You guys got absolutely fleeced imo. And it’s gunna suck giving all that draft capital
away to get outted in the wildcard round lmfaoooooo

It’s ok I know it hurts. Y’all didn’t even get Clowney. Hopefully your front office knows what to do with the picks. I’d expect regression from Tunsil moving forward.

I don’t get the Clowney trade - at all. Him not playing this year and losing him next off season would have been better than this (because of the comp pick and us not appearing like players and other gms can pressure us).

I like getting Tunsil. Getting a franchise LT is the hardest thing in this like outside of getting a franchise qb. They never hit FA and the draft is like a wheel of fortune. Tunsil can be the man for the next ten years. With our two draft picks the o line could easily develops into a strength for us.

A ton on picks scares me though - I am fine with giving up a first and a couple of mid rounders, not much more than that though...
It hasn't been suggested, and we'll have to wait until details are released, but I'm hoping the Clowney trade may be conditional, with the 3 becoming a 2 if he stays healthy. We already have a conditional 3. If we have a conditional 2 for Clowney, then the Tunsil trade begins to make sense.

I'll just wait and see till all the details are released.

Apples to oranges - our franchise it was on the wrong side of 30, had several injuries, looked like he lost a step and was sitting out the first eight games because of contract negotiations. Tunsil is a three year player without injury concerns that has already shown a lot.

Who cares if we got Clowney. He didn’t want to be here. Do you understand how much draft ammunition we have for the next two drafts? You guys got fleeced. No way around it. Two times today. Got fleeced on the Clowney trade and on the trade with my Dolphins. And you’re about to have to shell out a massive contract for Tunsil.

He didn’t want to resign with the Dolphins after his rookie contract so we made the BRILLIANT trade of he and Stills for two 1st and a 2nd. Future is BRIGHT

So instead of Clowney and a one and a two for Tunsil, we throw in an extra one and got a three, four, Tunsil, Mingo, Martin and Stills....and got rid of Davenport? OT would cost Texans one of the ones next year.

What a terrible decision by the Mcnair's to allow someone like Bill O'Brien to be coach and GM. You don't want someone in charge of your future who has a conflict of interest(Coaching), has extreme emotions and once he doesn't like a player he's done with them...

Davenport and Bademosi part of the trade too.
Has anyone been to check on Badboy?

Can't wait for Tunsil to get to grips with RG in practice so OB can get him on the field at LT asap.

I sure hope this is the O sorted now, bacause we are going to get old fast on D, and wont have premium picks to retool premium positions.

The Miami Dolphins are trading left tackle Laremy Tunsil, receiver Kenny Stills, and a fourth-round draft pick to the Houston Texans, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Dolphins will receive two first-round picks, a second rounder in 2021, defensive back Johnson Bademosi, and offensive lineman Julie'n Davenport, sources told Rapoport.

More to come.

Funny how Fins fans everywhere just 2 days ago were laughing and saying Tunsil was untouchable. Now they are saying he wasn’t going to resign and “fleeced” the team. Fact of the matter was everyone has their price and while steep we get to acquire an “elite” LT. Win-Win.

EVERYBODY HAS A PRICE.

Not really , a bright future means you have a QB , LT , Pass Rushing stud , shutdown corner , great reciever as a foundation . Which boxes do y'all check ? The Dolphins have the easy part done now hit those picks .

When all is said and done, we got better today. Sucks that we gave up a ton for that. Still with a good o line an running game, we can be dangerous this year. I think mercilus can at least get 5-10 sacks this year, Clowney will be missed in the run game but we will manage. The only real question mark right now is the secondary...

We are so screwed.

The next coach won't have any picks!

Tunsil is an above average lt not elite like Khalil at his position

Texans must retain OB through the 2020 season to ensure new GM and HC will come into solid draft position in 2021 and a full slate of picks.

Tweet from @AdamGSager: The #Texans gave up more for Tunsil and Stills than the #Bears gave up for Khalil Mack. Let that sink in.

Again a LT is more difficult to get than a pass rusher and we get him at a discount for two years. Not liking what we have up, but how often do you see trades for franchise lts that are not older than 25? Once you got a qb and a lt you can fill almost any other hole in fa...

You can get an LT close to tunsils ability for much cheaper

This is correct. And we could of had RB depth easily by spending very little in free agency, but instead traded a 3rd for one.. This entire offseason has been one Gigantic mess up that has led to more and more mess ups.

You're on the ball right now Wolf.

Just pointing out all kinds of facts.

We got a freaking legit LT. And a young one that can hold down the fort for 5-10 years. Holy freaking cow. And insurance for the inevitable Fuller injury in Stills.

Our line is now legit. We asked the Texans to fix the line and with this move, I think this pretty much does that.

I'm just worried our vaunted oline coach finds a way to screw it up.

This SLIGHTLY vindicates the asinine trade for Clowney. You're not going to be able to pay a stud LT and Clowney.

Adding Hyde is also a decent move. He's not as good as Miller, but I think between he and Duke, we can at least be decent there.

This is where I'm at Porky.

The cost of a young top tier LT was steep, but that's the price that had to be paid for bad past decisions and yrs of neglect of the OL

Tweet from @PatDStat: And Bill O’Brien made it clear in one of his post game press conferences he was not afraid to overpay for what the Texans needed or wanted. https://twitter.com/adamgsager/status/1167914163403771905

Lmao!

31 nfl GM's collectively sat up and said, "oh really?".

Cuts a rb before trading for one.
Fucks up the Clowney situation
Let's the entire nfl know he'll pay whatever it takes
Proceeds to pay whatever it takes
