Someone explain why we haven't seen Coates or Ellington this year....
...injuries...??
Ellington is on IR and someone here posted that Coates has shown buttered brick hands in practice... would like to see V. Smith get some time with Fuller out

Watson is 3-1 in his four primetime games so far. Thrown 11 TD's, rushed for 1, and only thrown 1 INT. Maybe the Texans' primetime woes are a thing of the past.
Definitely they looked the best against the Dolphins. Our offense didn’t look that good that game against the Jags. Our defense dominate.
Cowboys with better defense showed us our offensive problems. We got lucky they are a worse coached team than us.
We had problems against Tennessee and Buffalo.
Do you want to know the secret to beating the Jags? Rush the ball 30 times. Every time a team does that this year they have won. Their rush defense sucks, but the pass defense makes them look all that better.
The point stands and you have helped make it - our offense hasn’t looked as good until Miami. Let’s see what they look like against Philadelphia and Washington.
Definitely they looked the best against the Dolphins.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at though? They’ll look good against weak defenses, but not as good against the better defenses. Shouldn’t that be expected?
According to @ESPNStatsInfo, 24 of Deshaun Watson's 34 career passing touchdowns have gone to either DeAndre Hopkins or Will Fuller. Nice stat. But it makes you wonder if this also reflects to some extent to Watson locking on certain receivers and missing his reads. With Fuller gone, Watson will no doubt need to reverse that tendency and go through all his reads as appropriate. That's part of a QB's maturation process and his key to long-term success.
Obviously. My point was more to point out that maybe it's rubbing off on the entire team, because normally the Texans crap the bed in primetime.Well we already know he can play very well in primetime. Didn't do half bad against Alabama.
I am sure BOB will as the TEs improve their route running AND afford Watson some better pass protection. It's always easy to criticize the coach for limiting players and types of plays, when we have a blind vision of what we expect certain players to be...........while they may be in direct conflict with what they have shown in practice. Fans tend to want to think of many new players as great................until they aren't.I think that could also change a bit if O'Brien utilizes more plays that call on Thomas and Aikens. Both of the Jordans represent new targets for Watson should they be deployed.

I have to see this offense against a better defense before I can believe it’s turned a corner. I think everything clicked, but it was against one of the weaker teams in the NFL and we should look that good.
With Fuller going down that takes away a dimension that’s going to make defenses have an easier time with us.

Predict he will play less than Clowney did/does. Speed doesn't kill on bench. Hope i'm wrong.I don’t think he missed a game in college due to injury. So how did you know he had durability concerns during the draft?
In the NFL you are playing with the big boys and you will get hit.
His hands have improved.
I hope the Texans realize they need MAJOR help at WR.
Remember Welker before he was Welker?
I think that's what we need. Someone to recognize that special something in someone & exploit the f'kng crap out of it.
Fuller has proven this season to be a very tough runner. He grinds. Gotta give him that & improved hands. He can play with the big boys if his body will let him.
From someone who was not thrilled with the pick.
I agree with everything you say. His body has not let him stay on the field, that is the issue.Fuller has proven this season to be a very tough runner. He grinds. Gotta give him that & improved hands. He can play with the big boys if his body will let him.

Desean Jackson of the Bucs has requested a trade. He’s be a great replacement for WFV plus he’s a stud on ST. Wonder what the asking price will be.
Too high, I'm sure
I thought that too until I looked at his contract situation. Over 30 yo*, 11 year vet, one year remaining on his contract ($10M). On top of that him and Winston haven’t clicked. For the right price I’d be on that.

Turns 32 in Dec.
Has he & Winston not clicked or has father time taken his share?
I honestly don't know .hadn't watched much football over the last 20 months or so.
Jackson wasn't just fast, he was quick too & that helped him get wide open. If he's still fast but not quick, or still quick but not fast, he may not be a suitable replacement for Will Fuller who teams had to account for.
It's not just WFV's speed that makes him dangerous. He's also a very good route runner & understands the game better than most.

Agree, I said in the Denver thread Lindsay looks like the real deal, got some holds, but he has more vision than both our backs combinedI wonder what it woul take to get that kid toting the rock for Denver.

Quite the undrafted free agent find for Broncos. Outplaying their RB drafted in the 3rd round.
Would look a lot better on the Texans having Phillip Lindsey instead of Tyler Ervin
apparently we need to jump on the undrafted out of local college bandwagon. I know Keenum didn't work out, but Thielen undrafted out of a local Minnesota college tearing ti up, and now Lindsay in Denver, who does UH have or any other college local to Houston than won't get drafted lol
I think there's a distinct possibility D'Eriq King goes undrafted mostly due to his size. Teams will want to convert him to another position. If he goes undrafted, this is a guy from the Texans backyard who'd warrant an UDFA Contract offer.
We had our turn. Remember Arian Foster?apparently we need to jump on the undrafted out of local college bandwagon. But he had no local ties here, both of those guys played local to their teams and went undrafted lol. It was a joke honestly

Imagine him as a slot Wr/wildcat QB... would be dynomite IMO
I doubt he gets a gig as a pure QB
That scares me, those utility guys never work out for us.
