Every year we hit this wall in the fourth round.

The last two years most people just stopped showing up entirely, and we ended up with about five people making picks and then Blake and WolverineFan filling in for all the no shows.

How about we make this mechanical next year (or this one)? 1st let's shorten to 2 hours at some point. 2nd, miss a pick you get the highest rated player left available on some chosen reference.
 
Unfortunately, tomorrow we're traveling to Barcelona to see some sights and to see Post Modern Jukebox play. So I'm going to be out of commission for the next few days. I was hoping to get as much done as possible.

I'll be sending my boards for the different teams to Cak, bah007, and WolverineFan.

Chiefs clock is up in 30 minutes. Let's discuss...

They've already addressed edge rusher and CB. They still need WR and DL depth. Rashard Higgins is the best WR available according to most sources while Matt Ioannidis is the top DL. Shawn Oakman is also available although who knows where his stock is at right now.

Yeah, I thought everyone agreed to that after reading todays posts. Really, I think we need to continue to urge mockers to send in their pick list in case they aren't available.

I think making this a rule going in would help a great deal.

I've participated in this exercise for awhile, 4 or 5 years I would say. Maybe longer, not even sure. Yes, we have hang ups, and yes we wouldn't be able to do this if we didn't have a handful of guys every year step up and move things forward. However, we still finish before the real draft starts every year, so we always get atleast something out of it.

I also vote in favor of anyone who is willing to take over group picks.
 
Just throwing this out there. We could move to 2 hours with the provision that it be expanded upon request OR when several picks have been made in rapid succession just prior to a pick. Say 3 hours from the prior pick or four hours from the pick before that.

ie
pick 190
a. 2 hours from pick 189
b. 3 hours from pick 188
c. 4 hours from pick 187
etc.
