except Nuk. Is it wrong to like Nuk more than AJ?
The record doesn't matter. Cincinnati fans are just like Texans' fans. Impossible to please. What a loser fan base. Booing an undefeated team.
You PC, bro?Umm, they are 4-5 now chief. Sounds like you need your safe space just like that cry baby ginger does.
Being an old Oiler fan, this win was even sweeter. Screw you Bengals! I still hate Sam Wyche.
We got BIG questions after these past two games that need to be asked...
Does Kareem get his starting job back? Or maybe JoJo? All I know is we need Kjo to be on the field!
Does JD get his starting job back as the Jack over Whit?
Will we ever see Rahim Moore back on the field?
Are we going to continue to see less and less snaps for big Vince?
All that is true. It felt good to beat a good team though. We might not have this feeling again if the offense continues to stink. But this week it felt good to beat a team that isn't the Jags, Bucs or Teets.Ok, lets not start feeling our own jocks.
The Bengals absolutely choked this game away. How many drops did their key receivers have?
I can think of at least 3 crucial ones.
While it is nice to actually win a game against a quality opponent, we need to realize that
no other team in the NFL is going to crap their pants like this again for the rest of the
season.
Lets build off of the momentum, but realize what the limitations actually are..

Cushing played a good game as well. Not as good as he once was, but he earned his spot on the field.

Meh. If J-Jo doesn't get over the top (which is rare), at worst it's a deep overthrow. That was such an idiotic throw by Dalton. That's the type of throw that would create a 10 page thread on how terrible our QB situation is on TT.
I doubt that. I've seen too many meltdowns on otherwise good teams this year. While it is nice to actually win a game against a quality opponent, we need to realize that no other team in the NFL is going to crap their pants like this again for the rest of the season.
I think we all know the Bengals choked it as much as we took advantage of the opportunity but hey, we saw our defense play a whole game for the first time in a long time. Defenses contribute to drops. You can't give them all the credit but they do contribute to drops.
And yes, some other teams are going to **** the bed this year. I see 4 more wins out there with the Jets, Saints, Jaguars, and Titans.
The only other "out of the question" game on our schedule is New England. Buffalo can and often does **** the bed. Indianapolis is not themselves this year. Even with Luck back in time for our second game in Indy it is not necessarily a lost cause for us. We get 5 wins and we could be looking at another 2014 where we go 9-7 and are on the outside looking in again come playoff time.
The record doesn't matter. Cincinnati fans are just like Texans' fans. Impossible to please.
Dude, if we go 9-7 we very likely win this steaming shitpile division.
Really sucks we won huh?
Haven't you heard "real fans" don't do that. (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary)At the end of the first half of the Packers and Lions game the Packers fans were booing the Packers, specifically the offense. Even Titletown USA boos their team when they are playing poorly.
That's awesome. He plays catch with the crowd every game. Nice to hear your boy get the ball. That has got to be huge for him. What a great night !!! We went down along the front row during pregame and JJ Watt was throwing a ball around to random fans as he ran around the stadium. He got to us and I yelled for a toss to my 9 year old son wearing a Watt jersey. He ran over to him and handed him the ball to keep. Official ball with the Texans print on it given to my son by his sports hero. Great time for him and my Houston friends who came in town. Don't even care my boys choked again in the spotlight. A night to remember for sure. Congrats to you all on a great win !!!
If it means we keep Smith, Obrien, RAC, and Hoyer, then yes..
In fact, it more than sucks -- it's catastrophic.
Win the division, go to the playoffs.
That's the formula.
The formula is build a championship team. Winning the division at 7-9 or 6-10,
getting curb stomped in the first playoff game, keeping our front office and
coaching staff because of it, and starting next year with Hoyer would be the
punishment for all of that.
I want to start over, hire a football guy with the chops of Morey/Lunhow,
build through the draft, and go after rings.
This crap of lucking into the playoffs because of injuries to the Colts, and suckage
of Indy/Tenn does nothing for me at all..
This team is more likely to lose to the saints than it is to go 9-7.
Anyone that thinks otherwise needs to undergo the same
concussion protocol that Hoyer is on right now..
Hoyer is awful. Good thing he was sent to the locker room because I don't think we would have won that game with him in there.
Yeah, here is hoping that he finally sees that needs help evaluating qb's. I love OB to succeed, but if he keeps plugging qb's like Kubiak kept doing with running backs, then it's going to be a long season next year.I think OB can see it too (That Hoyer is horrible). I was worried that maybe he couldn't for a while but I think he probably gets it. Now whether he can be trusted to do anything about it I don't know (He brought us Hoyer) but I think he sees the problem.
You might want to lay off of the speed, freak. The formula is build a championship team. Winning the division at 7-9 or 6-10,

OB seems to thrive in those situations. Maybe the Texans should have a QB by committee, based upon the opponent?Yeah, here is hoping that he finally sees that needs help evaluating qb's. So "If you don't agree with me you need to have your head examined"?
Nah, screw you (no offense intended). We spend so much time looking at our train wreck here that we sometimes forget that other franchises are steering train wrecks of their own through the season. The Saints are a mess right now. I think it's more like "Anyone who can't see that the Saints are a hot mess that's allowed over 100 more points than we have needs to get their eyes checked".

Look, I am super happy that we pulled off one of the biggest upset wins in the
NFL this season.
But I cannot, for the life of me, see how this one game becomes a catalyst
for the Texans to turn the season around and become championship contenders.
For once in my life, I'd actually like to see a legit winner of an NFL team in
Houston. This staff and GM are never going to get us there.
I'm old enough to remember love ya blue, but those memories are starting to
fade. I want my kids to actually have the same sense of excitement for
the Texans that I did for those Oilers.
Right now, we're just spinning our wheels. And for fans to jump on yesterdays
win as if it was some kind of turning point in the Obrien era really frustrates
the hell out of me..
That is all..

OB should sign 4 qbs next season and switch them out between plays.
His avatar suggests a great big "hell no" when it comes to Oilers millstones. lolTurning point? Catalyst? Christ, can't we just be happy that they beat one of the best teams in the league and not have it be a referendum on Bob McNair and Rick Smith, or tying an Oilers millstone around our necks?
Didn't Griffin have a couple of key 1st downs last night or did I imagine that?We could ditch all of our TE's to make room for them. We don't use them anyway.

And running back.We could sign Tebow to be QB and TE...![]()

Tears in your beer.
I'll be celebrating when we win our division.
There's no guarantee the next regime would do any better.
Just win!
Houston Texans
Where mediocrity lives and fans are happy cause they can do their tailgaiting, drink beer and BBQ.
BTW, Congrats on the win Texans, y'all showed alot of heart. Heart that I didn't think this team had after being present at the Miami debacle.
I'm going to continue to name drop, because alot of guys need to be recognized tonight. Charles James & Brian Peters have turned the punt/kick coverage around!!! Loving their intensity on STs!
Still amazed we beat the undefeated Bengals at home.
