Hard Knocks: Houston Texans 2015

I have watched a lot of this show, and do not remember seeing anyone hamming it up. I would imagine if anyone is caught acting in such a manner will be in the HC office real quick for a reminder of how they do Billy Ball. Remember these men have prides too and do not want to look like fools in front of their family and friends across the nation.

Tbh guys are probably being themselves. Guys joke around on the sideline during practice and games. If we see someone clowning when it's business time I'll be surprised.

Unless it's J.J. Watt. Dude sure loves him some camera time.

I'm about 3 hours North of Richmond but I'd happily make the trek down if we win a couple of tickets; they're free.
I'll enter and forward the tickets to you if I win. How many tickets do you need?

I'm signing up for tix. My sailor is stationed in that region, maybe he can go! We've been taking him to training camp since he was little. He even got Andre #80 to sign a jersey for him one year. He reps H-town every where he goes.

Reshard Cliett, Travis Labhart, Jumal Rolle, David Quessenberry, Keith Mumphrey, Darryl Morris, Christian Covington.

I'm thinking amongst this group is both the "grab your playbook, coach wants to see you" sad story and the "gets a phone call while walking through the Galleria parking lot" triumphant story.

Darryl Morris is a lock to make this team.

I suspect injuries to players who would make the active squad will cause at least 3 or 4 players to make the roster who otherwise might not. Then there will be a similar number who will develop a late training camp injury who might not otherwise make it to the active squad. The Texans have had at least one WR in this category every year and usually more than one.

Texans announce dates and times for open practice at Training Camp

Houston Texans Training Camp presented by XFINITY will begin on Saturday, August 1, as the Texans take to the field for the first time in preparation for the 2015 season...

XFINITY is offering a free one-year subscription to HBO for all current and new customers in the Houston area, so fans can watch the Houston Texans on Hard Knocks.

Meant to bring this into this topic, too.

Not sure what the deal is, three-for-two???, but still a nice offer for Comcast/Xfinity customers...

Love me some Morris.

Think he could become a great safety too. He was playing safety when he made the game winning int against ills and hurt his ankle. I was very impressed watching break on the ball and making a play. Things rarely seen in safety play around these parts.

Morris is a keeper.

Definitely keep an eye on him. He is a RFA after this season.

Did it make anyone else sad to watch these and realize Andre's last game was against the Jags at home and his last catch was for a TD to take the lead. How fitting, but sad this won't happen ever again.

Not really. But I wasn't as invested as some from his early history since I wasn't paying attention before 2012. He didn't seem invested in remaining, so I hope he does well against our strongest opponents and gets a case of dropsys against us, like every other opponents players.

After swearing I wouldn't pay for HBO to see Hard Knocks, I succumbed to the price break I got when I changed cable packages. I really got it for BBC America, which isn't on basic, but I couldn't resist getting Hard Knocks by paying a couple of extra bucks for HBO. Then I can drop it after the last episode since I never watch movies on premium channels.

Do we have to call comcast for HBO to show up, or does it automatically come up when Hard Knock season starts?

A couple of rookies I'm excited to hopefully see featured on Hard Knocks: WR Jaelen Strong and ILB Benardrick McKinney. Our second and third-round picks in this 2015 draft class. Both have incredible size, speed and athleticism. I'd like to see then pushing for a starting job right away.

I emailed Willie McGinnest at ESPN and he responded back to me about an hour ago that Benardrick McKinney will excel playing for Romeo Crennel, who loves big and athletic linebackers. He told me that it wouldn't surprise him if McKinney becomes something special in the NFL. He can play inside linebacker or outside linebacker. He wrote to me that this is the type of defensive player we needed to chase around Andrew Luck, Blake Bortles and Jake Mariotta. All the young QBs in the AFC South.

McGinnest is a big fan of Romeo Crennel and the talent the Texans have on defense. He says we may have the best defense in the NFL this season. He called J.J. Watt the most dominating player in NFL history. Says Vince Wilfork will be a real force at nose tackle. He likes our veteran leadership in the secondary and says Kevin Johnson will make some big plays as a rookie also.

He didn't really mention Brian Cushing and Jadeveon Clowney by name but he said health will be a factor if we want to see this Texans defense becoming something special. He said the Texans have the most talent on defense in the entire league. And obviously I didn't want to ask him questions about our young offense since his expertise is defense and Romeo Crennel's system.
