With the 69th overall pick in the NFL draft, the Skins select:

Donovan Smith – OT – Penn State

This team has so many glaring holes that even if we hit on 5 of our 7 draft picks we are still looking pretty weak. Not only do we not have depth, we don’t have quality starters.

This pick was tough for me… Do you take a guy that projects to be a slightly better guard or do you draft a guy you believe can play tackle at the next level but many believe won’t make it as a Tackle in the NFL and will need to shift to guard?

I see what a lot are saying and I just don’t care, I’m gonna gamble. IMO, and the opinion of those assigning contracts, the tackle position is more valuable than the guard position, so we here in DC are going for it. Good thing that we need help all across the line and if our boy can’t make it as a Tackle we have plenty of need for him at guard too.

Appreciate adding the nice action shot Playoffs.

Does anyone think Donovan can make it as a tackle in the NFL? Or does everyone think he's gonna need to make the move to guard?

With the 70th pick in the TT Mock draft the New York Jets select Tre Jackson Fla. St. OG 6'4 330 LBS 5.52. Jackson is a big strong tough guy who is a mauler but can get to the 2nd level. He reminds me of Gabe Jackson from last yrs draft.

If I'm the the Jets I move James Carpenter to either LG where he played with the Seahawks (Carpenter can also be a swing OT.) and put the massive Jackson at RG to form a massive wall to protect Grayson and open up running lanes for the next Jets pick.

If he stays in shape he can play either OT position and I think at worst be a Micheal Oher type player. At best Smith can be a Jermon Bushrod type LT. It's up to him.

The Jets really wanted Smith.

I think he can play at either OG spot or RT, he just doesn't have the speed to play LT in the NFL. I want him for the Texans in the 4th round.

With the 83rd pick in the TT Mock Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Cody Prewitt FS Mississippi, 6'2 208 LBS 4.47 (pro day)

Prewitt is my #1 ranked S above Landon Collins. He's a tough, smart instinctive FS who is always around the ball and can play the 1 high S or drop in the box.

The Falcons need a RB and a TE, great talent was still available at those positions but Prewitt is too good to pass up at this point in the draft.

Petty would start season 3rd on depth chart behind Foles & Keenum. That being said, Fisher is not afraid to take a stab @ developing a prospect with potential to be his franchise guy, despite defense being his specialty. O'Brian even said, that he thought Bryce was the best QB prospect in this draft. We shall see? AS GM until you have that guy it is his responsibility to identify & acquire him by what ever means necessary. OC is Frank Cignetti previously QB's coach, should bode well for development Petty as he transitions from College spread to NFL. Petty has large hands 10", runs faster than you think 4.87 with 34" vertical & 10'1" broad jump (tied Mariota). Barley behind Mariota in Cone drill & ahead of Hundley 1,2,3 @ combine. Most natural passer in draft, with quick release, strong arm can make all the throws. He had his pro day March 18th and looked great, connecting on 74 of 77 passes, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. There were representatives from 27 teams at Baylor's pro day, including multiple quarterbacks coaches.

lol, you made a good pick. Tre was my #2 if Smith was taken. He's gonna be a good guard in the NFL. My speech was written up debating Tre (the guy that projects as a potentially better guard in the NFL) and Smith for the Redskins.

That's a nice pick. He's no star but his motor is high and he has a knack for filling holes and getting to the QB.

Thanks, man. He was the top of my board for the Giants, so I'm happy about that. The rest of my board at the time was Cody Prewitt (who got picked), Tre Jackson (who got picked), Ty Sambrailo, or Sammie Coates (who got picked). So if he hadn't fallen to me, I would have picked Sambrailo there and, honestly, I'd have been happy either way.

The Buffalo Bills select Henry Anderson - DE, Stanford

The Bills are switching to the 3-4 under Rex Ryan and need to add bigger bodies up front. Anderson would slide seamlessly into the 5' tech DE spot that he played at Stanford.

I don't think I am alone when I say that I wasnt happy with the production we got from our TE group. I cant tell you if it was a coaching issue or a player issue, all I can do is try to upgrade the talent. A feirce blocker as much as an exceptional pass catcher. At 6'4" 251lbs he can mix it up in the pass and the run.

I am going to pull a TE who was a former basketball player and played for the Miami Hurricanes and combine standout.

Clive Walford, TE, Miami (FL)

clivewalford2.jpg

Chargers select Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB, Washington.

They need some pass rush help and this guy will attempt to transition from DE to OLB.

With the 84th pick in the 2015 Texans Talk Mock Draft, Philadelphia Eagles select - Tony Lippett, Michigan State (yeah I know it's not the PAC-12) WR/CB, 6025 190. Really like his upside @ CB which gave him the edge over other WR's. He is a natural ball hawk with great hands & feel like Richard Sherman in coverage, his WR experience should aid his transition understanding route trees & QB tendencies. This is a win win for the Chipper, he adds WR depth while enforcing secondary.

Good pick

Lippett compares to Sherman except Sherman runs in the 4.3's.

I compare Lippett to Troy Brown, a player that does multiple things to impact almost every game. (Winner)

Richard Sherman ran 4.56 @ the combine. Maybe you got it confused with his 4.33 20 yard shuttle time?

I thought I remembered Sherman running a 4.34 or 4.43 at his pro day. I'm probably wrong.

Either way, Carroll can really evaluate DB's and put them in positions to succeed.
