Though Arian Foster and the Houston Texans might dislike playing on Thursdays, they can't complain about the opportunity that awaits them this week.

The Texans can take over sole possession of the AFC South lead by avoiding a fourth consecutive defeat to a visiting Indianapolis Colts team that's seeking a 10th straight Thursday victory.

A day after topping 100 rushing yards for the third time this season with 157 and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss at Dallas, Foster voiced his displeasure with playing Thursday night, games in which Houston is 1-3 all-time.
Despite his disdain for the concept, Foster has averaged 5.3 yards per carry while rushing for 343 and four touchdowns in three Thursday games - most recently Thanksgiving Day at Detroit in 2012.

Foster and the Texans might loathe the quick turnaround, but they should be eager for this matchup between a pair of 3-2 teams that share the South lead.

Facing its first division opponent of the season, Houston has dropped two of three and understands what's there for the taking. The home team has won four of five Thursday matchups this year.

What I want to see:

More. Blue.

Arian had a heavy carry day Sunday, so with the short week, I think Blue should get a few more totes. Definitely a little fresher, so bruising the Colts a bit could be useful.

Pressure Luck, and often.

Get to this guy, and make him struggle. He can, at times, have issues, so this will be key. Not to mention that his OL is a bit banged up.

Offense needs quick start

Offense hasn't scored a TD in the 1st quarter since week 2, so today is the day it ends. Get up on these guys, and start putting some points up. It can be done.

BE LOUD!

Whether you are at home, a bar, BWW, or at the stadium; BE LOUD. Let these Colts know that this isn't going to be any easy night.
That was quick, huh? We just played! Ha. Well, back at it again. However, this is for the early division lead and a leg up in the season series. So, what about this: Get this W, rest for more than a few days, and enjoy the mini-bye week before Pittsburgh. Sound good? Now, the rules are simple; 1-0 every week! Let's show these Colts that we are here for the entire 2014 season. LET'S MUTHA****IN' GO, TEXANS!!!

I expect referee shenanigans, because every Colts/Texans game has horrendous officiating.

Wish we built on the lead when we could have, but alas, here we are.

C'mon boys.

Perhaps we need "a predict the blown call" thread?

I'd go with PI and touching the QB penalties at roughly 3-1 more on the Texans than the Colts.

This game is at 1am my time, but luckily I am hitting the pubs here in the city tonight so that by the time I take the train back to the house, I am properly prepared for the pre-game show!

Unfortunately, I think you're right. This will be the Cowboys game 2.0. Watt will be held the entire game with no flags thrown and Luck slinging the ball everywhere like Brett Favre. Hate to feel that way, but it's happened in the Giants game and the Cowboys game and this won't be any different.

Texans need to get off to a fast start. Need to score on first possession IMO. Put the pressure on the Colts early.

21-24 Texans

Fitz has played well against the Colts.

I think the crowd wins the game. This will be the loudest game all year.

I am envious of those who will be attending. Texans will win.

Colts vs Texans Colts getting all the action vs Texans -- 74% on the money & 83% on the -3 spread #NFL #TNF

As I recall from my wayyy back old gambling days, you never want to be with the crowd.

A friend of mine (Redskins Fan) PMs me on Facebook and asks "So are your Texans going to win tonight?" to which I replied. "I sure hope so, but I wouldn't put any money on it". "Too late, I already put $20 on them" he says.

So lucky for him he is not "with the crowd" as you say.:shades:

Our friends at Stampede Blue tell us that the Colts will be without their two starting guards, a starting defensive end, and their nickel corner tonight.
Good news for the Texans... Luck is will be on the run. I hope O'Brien is ready for that. Too bad Clowney can't go, but I'm sure Watt is eager to put the hurt on Luck for him.

More pumped for this game than the cowboys game...This means so much more. The team can show us some real resolve and growth if they can bounce back from the tough loss in Dallas & combat a truly elite qb in Luck.

Earlier this week i heard audio from Fitz where he was saying that he and BoB were working on ways to jumpstart the offense. This is the week to show the progress made in that area.

Also....GET MY MAN AJ A DAMN TD!!!!!!!!!....he and Fitzgerald are absolutely killing my Fantasy team right now.

If Foster runs every play, I am ok with it as we need this game. He has a long time to recover before next game. I want this played like we did last few minutes of Dallas game; like we must score every series. I want the ball first and a long scoring drive, 3 & out by our D and then another TD. Get up on them quick. Make them play from behind.

If I were Colts, Watt would never get close to Luck..make other Texans beat me.

At work rocking my Battle Red.

Will be a very unproductive work day afternoon.

Feeling low in confidence, if we get a BIG day from Foster and Blue, we'll go alright.

OUT: Texans OG Brandon Brooks will NOT play for the Texans tonight. Ben Jones is sick as well, but will try to play thru it. #TNF

Watching the condensed version of Ravens vs Colts right now. If not for those two lucky turnovers in the first quarter, the Colts would have lost this game. 1st TO was questionable, and the 2nd one we can relate to which was Jacoby Jones screwing up the punt return and touching the ball which was recovered by the Colts. Colts only scored 2 FG's in the first half and Luck was wildly off target many times. The Ravens went for it on 4th and 1 inside the 5 and got Kubiaked when he called a roll out that was blitzed resulting in a sack. The Ravens should have run it there and would have converted. A TD there instead of turnover on downs wins the game.

Forsett was gashing them too so I think Foster should do well tonight. Their center is new also. This could get ugly with both starting guards out and a new rookie center.
