Did you ever stop and think, in all your trolling on this board, that these so called "expert" give their opinions because that is their job. Marshall Faulk saying Matt schaub gives the Texans the best chance to win is not because Matt Schaub is an elite or half competent QB, it's simply because there are no other options on the Texans table at this time. ANYBODY with decent football knowledge know Matt Schaub is done with the Texans... period end of discussion.
Dude, you throw the word "Troll" around like people throw the word "Racist" around. Typical liberal tactics. Just because I disagree with you does not make me a troll. If my opinions rile you up, that's on you dude, and I suggest some counseling for your anger management problems.
In regards to the idea that talking heads give their opinions because it is their jobs... uh, wow, that is so profound I have to stop and ponder that for a while. I'll get back to you.
Where did I say Faulk said what he did because Schaub was elite? I agree with your comments regarding why he said it. Which is my point. Schaub (If Released) will be the best FA QB available regardless of your personal feelings towards the man, so is it really that hard to fathom that he may NOT be done with the Texans? I mean I see all kinds of players getting cut now that the season is over, yet Schaub remains a Texan. As bad as you and some other fans make him out to be, you would think they would want to cut that dead weight as soon as possible. You are not the amazing Kreskin or have the ability to see into the future. In your mind, (and many others) Schaub is done as a Texan, and that could very well be the case, but I think that at least at this point, it is more wishful thinking than solid fact.
If you are suggesting that Jaworski does not possess "decent football knowledge" then you are just continuing to display megalomaniac characteristics.
See unlike you, I don't hide behind what talking heads say. The SAME talking heads that said JaMarcus Russell was going to be an elite QB with 3-5 years of his career. That came from a draft expert that watches film on players as well. I can see the forest for the trees, I know a lame duck when I see one and Matt Schaub is a lame duck. SAME talking heads that said Ryan Leaf would have a better career than Peyton Manning. It is no stretch or risk to give your opinion and be wrong. No credibility is going to be lost, so basically everything you are saying about these so called "experts" is for nothing...
You are still confused. You do not "hide behind" talking heads comments because you reject them outright if they do not align with your opinions because you think you know better than they do. I am not hiding behind them, I am posting them to encourage discussion on their opinions, not that everyone should bow down and begin to chant every time these guys speak. Having said that, I would expect fans to take more notice than when you or I speak on the topic.
Your stupid comment about Matt Schaub owning all the Texans records, really? Really? you are gonna hang your hat on the fact that Matt schaub was better than David Carr? WOW, man that was a huge bar to climb over there, not to mention Schaub spent twice as long in Houston than Carr did. Great research there man!
Just you trolling trying to stir the pot...
Calling my comments stupid does not make your points any more valid. In fact I would say to any clear thinking person it shows that you lack the capability to have a discussion without resorting to name calling when you can't come up with anything intelligent to say.
Yes really... David Carr was a #1 overall pick. Schaub was drafted in the 3rd round. Schaub stayed in Houston longer than Carr because he was performing at a high level, not because he was Kubiak's butt buddy, but here you are trying to discount what the man has done for the franchise and treat him the same way you treated someone who did not perform well.
You are missing the point. How many QB's has Cleveland had since Schaub joined the league, or most other teams for that matter? You contend that is because Kubiak kept him from getting cut, I contend it is because he was a good solid QB who was no Brady, Brees or Manning, but was good enough to get the job done. Stats and history are on my side, and you just keep clinging to last seasons performance as a measuring stick. Brilliant.
There is no thinking out side the box when it comes to Matt Schaub. He is not a out side the box type of QB, so spew all your troll drivel, but it is just making you look like a complete and utter idiot. Thinking out side the box would be taking Manziel and designing an offense around his skill, BUT since your so called hero says not to take him until the 3rd round, lets kill that idea...
Your reading comprehension amazes me. When did I say or indirectly infer that Schaub is an outside the box QB? The out of the box comment was referring to using the mob mentality think you are employing. The fact is Schaub will be the best FA QB available should he be released, and if you think that Manziel or any rookie QB is going to come in here this season and take the Texans to the SB before Schaub could, you are even more mentally unstable than you are exhibiting in your posts.
The owner of the team does not want a rebuild, he wants to win now, and O'Brien knows he is not going to do that with a rookie QB. It has NEVER been done! Whether or not I am a "Complete and Utter Idiot" is irrelevant in this instance since I was not the one who made the comments, but since you cannot attack the message, you will attack the messenger.
So called hero? There you go putting words in my mouth again. Please quote where I called Jaworski my hero? Jaws has said some off the wall things in the past, and in the eyes of most, this is one of them. Just because I agree with him in this instance does not make him my hero. But he sure as hell has more credibility than you.
More think like me and would be right, history has a ugly way of repeating itself and especially in Houston.
and your little "compensating for something" joke, I would throw in a immature wife joke as a retaliation, but we both know that nobody would be stupid enough to hook up with you, so we shall leave that one be...
Back to the ignore list you go, troll!
More think like you so that makes them, and you right? man do you hear yourself? Well, since you made the joke even though you said you wouldn't, it would once again show how wrong you are since I am the father of 3 great kids with a very beautiful, smart and caring wife. Just more juvenile attacks by you to try to discredit me because I ruffled your feathers. Do you need your binky?
And we both know you are not going to put me on your ignore list because you like to hear yourself bloviate too much, and someone like me gives you that opportunity far too often. Even if you did add me to your ignore list, you will still click on the link to read it, and we both know that if anyone replies to my post that is not on your block list you will be forced to view my comments anyway, but thanks for letting everyone know what you were going to do instead of just doing in. Everybody follow BullNation4Life, he is soooo cool.
That's Ron "
I wouldn't draft Manziel in the 1st 3 rounds" Jaworski? Or is it Ron "
Russell Wilson is too short" Jaworski? I get them confused. Jaws is all hung up on size and stature. How about, making plays for your team and not the opposition?
To be fair, Jaws also said his analysis was incomplete, and that he has more games to watch before he could complete it. He also said Manziel will go in the first round. Just if it was him, at this point of his analysis, he would not take him early.
Wilson is too short. Just because his team won a SB does not mean his physical stature has changed. How many SB;s has Brees won since the only one he has ever won? So the planets aligned and Wilson rode a terrific D and running game to a SB win. So what, does that mean everyone should start looking at short QB's? No. Oh and for the record, every QB makes plays for the other team at times. The Texans effectively demonstrated (at least one in half) what you do to short QB's like Wilson and Manziel. Maintain lanes, sugar rush and keep them in the pocket. It prevents them from having throwing lanes. Why Wade changed his tactics in the 2nd half is beyond me, but it is what it is. You can bet whomever Manziel goes to, defenses will employ that tactic.
Meh.... Jaws wasn't necessarily a big guy himself, nor all that athletic. He had a decent to mediocre career as a QB.
His analysis used to be decent and then he became some sort of contrarian. Manziel a third rounder? Really?? Russell Wilson too short??? Really?? Didn't he say something about Kaepernick being the best QB in the league (or something to that affect?)
Jaworski was 6'2" when he played, which at the time was prototypical size for a QB. He was built more like Bridgewater than Manziel. Just for the record Jaworski is an NFL MVP, NFC Champion, and an Eagles HoF inductee among many other respectable accolades, so nice try.
Jaworski opined that Manziel will go in the top 10 picks, he just said he would not pick him that early because of what he has seen on film so far. So what? In regards to what he said about Kaepernick. What he actually said was...
"I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, I love his skill set. I think the sky's the limit." -Ron Jaworski 2013
You guys are just trying to use these things to discredit what he said about Schaub. Why don't you bring up the things he said and was right about? Because that does not forward your argument. Besides did I miss something about Kaepernick being a horrible QB or something? He is well on his way to becoming exactly what Jaworski said.
