Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars. 12/5. 7:25. NFLN. **Official Game Thread**

Texans penalties = 7
Texans 1st downs = 4

Texans penalty yards = 85 yards
Texans total offense = 61 yards

How did we win 2 games?

It's obvious the Texans are tanking but can't they pretend they're trying?

This team has no discipline, no fight, no drive. With a small number of exceptions, almost the entire team has quit on this coaching staff and this season. It's obvious.

Mayock just lost all credibility. "Texans have a good young group up front."

7 penalties aldeady...that IS on the coaching staff. No discipline.

Is this team tanking? Or are we this bad?

Edit: And Mayock is incredibly annoying. Talk some more about Crypien and his relationship with Chancellor. What a bunch of crap. Who freakin cares

Nobody can look at this team objectively and say that Kubiak hasn't lost the locker room. I simply refuse to believe anyone could see these players perform and think that they're playing hard for this coaching staff. The Texans (or enough of them to matter) are just mailing it in now. This is what playing out the string looks like.

My thoughts exactly.

This team has got to be the most penalized Texans team I can remember.

Specially offensively.. NOT GOOD, for possesion type offenses that
have to stay on schedule to be effective.

How many 3rd and longs due to false starts or flags away from the ball
do we have to endure -- not even counting the pass interference calls!

Lol omg this is a joke..I got as well put all 3rd string in so they can get some game time this year

Team is sending Bob a strong message... NO! WE DON'T WANT KUBIAK OR WADE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QFT.

I don't believe our talent is THIS bad.

I think we have quite a few suspect players, but the coaching is horrendous.

...and you know what sucks, too? Patrick Edwards is on Detroit's practice squad, and we have friggin' K-Mart (who is living up to his name - No longer existent in Houston).

Two terrible teams playing for last place gives him really nothing to talk about.

Our starting position has sucked. Mcnair...man up. Do it.

This flaming dumpster fire of a game is pre-empting Scandal. I normally wouldn't have an issue if this team wasn't so painful to watch.

This team no longer cares. I realize there's no point but kubiak has lost em

I have watched the games, watched this forum during the games without ever generating a post to this site. Enough is enough, it does not take a brain surgeon to see the overall shortcomings of this team:
1. We started the season with Schaub, short passing game, no ability to move, enough said.
2. Our 'Offensive Line' is almost non-existent.
3. We lost our best running back due to injuries with less than spectacular back up. Tate was doing what he could but he is not 100% healthy either. He would compliment a good running back but is not the anchor.
4. I believe Keenum will make a great QB but he has to learn and he can't learn when he spends every second running for his life once the ball is snapped because he has no Offensive Line. Yeah he can and does move but, the other teams are keying in on that. You can't judge Keenum effectively unless you give him some protection.
5. Our Defensive Line is the brightest unit of the whole team but they alone cannot win games.
6. Our Defensive Secondary is absolutely pathetic. Every passing play you will see the receivers looking for the ball and the back of our Defensive Backs helmets. They simply chase the receivers, they do not play the quarter back or the ball .... they don't have a clue where the ball is. It has been that way for years.

We have major, major rebuilding to do and I don't believe the current coaching staff is up to the task.

I am watching this game with serious thoughts about turning it off and doing something positive ..... like rearranging my sock drawer.

Good points. I would just add the lack of pash rush. In this D if you don't get pressure on the QB you are in trouble, especially when the CB's out there raping the WR's.
