Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans. 9/15. Noon. CBS. **Official Liberty White Thread**

Should have, could have, would have been up 13-10 at halftime right now.

Randy Bullock let me down guys. I also have him on my fantasy team and I expect him to make those two 50-yard field goals.

Hopefully those six points we left on the table won't come back to bite us. But just for curiosity's sake, let's say Randy Bullock doesn't improve and he keeps missing field goals, are there any veterans we can sign in free agency for the league minimum?

I wanted Walsh coming out and I know others did too.

I remember the talk about both of them was that Walsh had the higher upside because of the more lively leg.

Correct. Bullock was very accurate but Walsh was less accurate but could just crush the ball. Bullock looks to have more than enough range to hit a 50 yarder but I do not know what the hell happened to his accuracy.

Schaub elite?

Not hardly. He's still completely unpredictable when it comes to pressure. He's as likely to fold up as to make a play. It's just a flip of a coin. Some guys will always tease with the possibilities. Much like Rivers Schaub will do this. At times he looks just like one of the elite guys but then he'll do **** like this.

I'm more concerned though with how the offense has just kind of bumbled along since the first possession. No spark at all out there on the Texans side and the longer they plod along the brighter things look on the Titans side of the field. They're starting to believe it's going to happen. That's a bad thing.

I didn't see this coming. I thought the Texans would take this game seriously after what almost happened in San Diego. Obviously I was wrong there.

I say Kubiak should just keep his range down.

You're right. Anything 50 or over we should just go for it if it's 4th and 3 or less. Or allow Shane Lechler to pin them inside the 10 or 5 yard line especially in the first half of games.

Oh well, only down 10-7 at halftime is nothing. Hopefully the Texans come back and win this game. Reach 2-0 and go into Baltimore next Sunday with some head of steam.

suggestions for second half:

1) stop calling plays that allow Schaub to throw check down laterally. in other words, no more RB screens or other dinky 1 yd passes to get blown up and fail to move the sticks.

2) keep that fat aggie on the bench. honestly, im concerned. FGs were half of our offense and now we can't kick them.

3) Cush needs to unscrew his teammates heads and s**t down their necks. if the rest of the team has his intensity, the would be a different game.

don't quit yet! remember the astrodome! texanpride

Im not jumping ship but Schaub was a freaking trash fire in the first half. Seriously how can he NOT see people calling him out the entire off season? He is consistant on one thing: giving his detractors ammunition.

I'm guessing he's nailing 50 yard kicks in practice though, he certainly has the leg.

Our pass protection is horrible again for the 2nd straight game. This is easily the biggest weakness so far for this team. And we basically have the same OL as last season, so not sure what's up?

Aside from Ice Ice Baby what else could Vanilla Ice have played at the half? Would have been cool for the kid in me if he did Go Ninja Go Ninja Go from TMNT II back in the day!

Both of the misses, I think, they should have went for it -- once 4th and 1, once 4th and 2, on like the 33 or 34 yard line? If it were 4th and 8, sure, maybe try the kick, but you give up too much field position with a miss there to do it with 4th and short.

This is what I am thinking. I WOULD prefer they start weak and get it in gear, finish strong heading to the playoffs. Rather than start strong and get complacent.

Yep. We're a playoff team now. We need to understand that the regular season only matters for seeding, and as the Giants proved, seeding doesn't matter if you're clicking late.

Defense gave up an 80 yd TD drive right out the gate. Last 6 drives the Titans have 30 yards. They just need to keep it up.

Offensively.....well, that's another story. We need to get back to who we are. Run the ball, use the short passing game with the TE's, and use playaction to move the chains with the occasional deep shot.

The only times we've gone downfield were on 3rd & 2, 3rd & 5, and 3rd & 13.

I'm getting so tired of Foster. On that first down run, he reminded me of Steve Slaton, running into the back of his linemen and just pumping his legs, getting nowhere.

Deepi Sidhu @DeepSlant 5m
And he ends it with "Go Ninja Go." Brilliant
@vanillaice #TexansGameDay

There you go lol.

Remember last week against Pittsburgh? Is the Titans defense that good?

Co-MVPs of the game so far: Cushing and Lechler.

Lechler is the man! We didnt even have to draft him in the 3rd round to get a great punter(I'm looking at you Jaguars)

Run, short pass, bring the rush MS panics and hopefully just throws an incomplete, Punt

Sorry just got back from Killen's BBQ Great BBQ Has the whole game been like this???

Matt is still Matt

So much for the new and improved "nimble" Schaub. Why isn't Kubiak calling his bread and butter PA passes or have Schaub bootleg? The tAcks DL is doing a pretty dang good job against our OL.
