Texans at Raiders Game Day Thread

Good thing I bet a good friend of mine, Bear's fan, that Houston would win next week.

With this goose egg I'm not so sure anymore.

Yeah it seems that way. What I am really trying to understand from this game: is our offensive line just terrible or is our defensive line the terrible unit? I mean they seemed to be getting pressure on Schaub, although he got rid of the ball, all game, yet we were hardly ever getting pressure on Russell other than that sack/fumble by Okoye.

Yeah I noticed that....a LOT more defensive plays should've been made. There were a couple of plays that COULD have been picked off by the secondary, but I really feel like they thought this was a 'gimme'. ... I guess I did too, but Goddam! I'm not the one PLAYING!!!

Actually, this may have improved your odds of winning. They will be home and coming off an embarrassing loss. I look for them to come out with some fire....you know, that thing that was missing today.

Great point. I'm still not thinking clearly.

A loss can be good but you'll need you're A game.

The Bears are playing for a playoff spot.

It's still possible we could end up with a losing season. I can't bear the thought of that. We have to beat Chicago and go 8-8, because 7-9 is just to horrible to think about.

At least jacksonville lost so if all else fails us this season, we have at least escaped last place in our division for this year.

We still struggle on the road the texans fan need to be a better road team i might go to a few road games next year maybe i can meet up with some of yall road warriors

but i know for a better road fans we need to win more games LOL

anywayz better draft picks i i never doubted the raiders u know how many high draft pick players they have over the years

this is starting to look like last year 8-8 .....

Some post game quotes are up at HT.com not too many players must've talked this time, wasn't much posted.

said by Gary Kubiak
(on what he said to the team after the game) “How disappointed I am. Like I told Rick (Smith), we go and beat the best team in football and if we are not ready to go, anybody can beat us, too. That’s part of this game, and I knew that before this game started. That’s part of the NFL. As I told them, it always starts with me. Obviously, I didn’t have them ready to play.”]

Ya know, it was cool in the beginning that he took responsibility for the team... but this is starting to go the route of the "execute" key word. Fine, thanks for standing in front of the bus then falling on the sword afterwards... but if it's starting with you, then finish it up.

Oh, then the 3rd/4th and inches...
“I felt good about the play,” Kubiak said. “I know you kick a field goal there and get it within a touchdown and a two-point conversion. We had some momentum right there and we were going to have to do something special to come back and win that game. I liked my play I had. I thought they would come after us. They didn’t come after us. We still had a chance with Kevin, but that’s me and my gut feeling making that call.”

I wonder... do they ever change a call at the line if it looks like the defense is going to bring something different than what you thought? Or do we still do the HWSNBN method?
