Texans random thought of the day

That's not the "bottom line", that's not even close to the bottom line. Some things are way more important than can a guy help a team win a football game. I have a new son along the way and I'm not sure I want him to watch football until I know he can understand why some people are cheering for a guy, being glad that guy is playing on their team and talking about how great he is while saying that outside football he's a scum bag. Not a conversation I'm looking forward to.
No offense to you, and I hope you don’t take this as a personal attack, but boy am I glad I played sports since I was a kid (from pewee all the way to high school) to know and realize that whatever my teammates did outside of football/baseball was none of my business.

If someone was good at their position I always wanted them on my team. You’d think that people in the pros would be the ultimate competitors and go after the absolute best players available to help your team win, but somehow being politically correct overrides common sense nowadays.

Yeah, Austins.. that's why I changed from Nascar to 'race' fan in post 9351. However, I forgot to erase post 9350.
So, you caught me. Well done.

Not wanting a man who Punches a pregnant woman in her stomach is not about being politically correct. Not wanting a man who gets drunk and pushs and then kicks a woman, among other incidents, is not about being politically correct.

When I played sports is was about learning to be a good team mate, learning to push yourself to be better, learning to deal with losing and understanding you can't win every time and yes even about learning how to be a better person. Apparently now it's about learning that winning is all that matters and if someone is good at a game then nothing else is important about them.

NOT beating women isn’t politically correct... it’s simply “correct”

Annd..
Pretty sure he was considering the Indianapolis 500. Which is the formula car race which is why I changed from Nascar fan to race fan.

Not condoning the act of beating women. I’m just not going to post about “losing respect” for a team for hiring a guy who did outside the field. What he does outside of football is none of my business and doesn’t affect me. The Browns are trying to win games, not morality medals.

Dude there is so much wrong with that I don't know where to begin. If a guy gets drunk and kills a family in a car wreck is that ok because it didn't affect you? If a guy beats up a woman and kills her unborn child is that ok because it didn't affect you? Seriously I don't even know what to do with that.

Bad behavior is being rewarded or at least excused. In any other industry , except maybe Hollywood, behavior like this would result in someone being blacklisted in their industry. Can you imagine if the CEO of Exxon or Shell was caught doing this and then less than a year later hired by another company. The excuse of "the company is just trying to make money" wouldn't fly but because people are entertained by football any behavior is ok as long as they are a good player.

Whoa, talk about being a drama queen! Lol

The real issue with so-called bad guys is the same as those with injury history, can I or the team trust that player to not miss practice and/or more importantly games because they are more prone to do something "drunk and dumb." This is when his business becomes my business and may interferes with winning games. Otherwise, yes, his personal life is his personal life.

So you dont believe in 2nd chances when people make mistakes in life?

And this is when you cut a guy.

Has there been any sign of remorse?

I dont know, you tell me.

What would be a sign of remorse that would be enough for you to let him play in the NFL again?

BTW, I dont believe you should ever hit a woman for any reason, I hope the Browns have done their homework. Would you rather see a guy like Hill pennyless and broke, or would like to see him get a 2nd chance and make the most of it as it appears Hill has?

Are you kidding me? You think someone who makes a mistake in life should get a second chance? What kind of silly god do you pray to, or what crazy cult are you a part of? Second chance...pffft!

2018's highest-graded running backs from the AFC South

Miller did make the pro bowl.

This ranking within the division is about what I would expect.

How would you rank the RB's within the division?
What kind of RB would Miller be with an oline that is good at run blocking. We have seen that he is capable of hitting the homerun if given an opening. The fact is, for the most part, the O-line makes the RB imho.

And sometimes the RB makes the OL... see Arian Foster
