Texans random thought of the day

Kareem Hunt just got cut from the Chiefs.

Dude got into an altercation with a women. She threw the first punch. But his dumb ash kicked her in the face while she was on the ground.

Man when are these jokers going to learn to just walk away.

not cut, sent home. Happened in February, but violence against a woman is no bueno. Let's see what the NFL says

From an earlier post in another thread (before the release):

NFL's Kareem Hunt Brutalizes and Kicks Woman ... In Hotel Video

The League can't ever seem to take appropriate action until things go public.

Commissioner Exempt list was the only practical option for Kareem Hunt
November 30, 2018, 7:10 PM EST

Never mind the fact that the NFL knew or should have known about the contents of the TMZ video that emerged out of the blue on Friday afternoon. The rest of us didn’t, and once we did the NFL had to act.

And the NFL did the only thing it could, placing Hunt on paid leave (via the Commissioner Exempt list) pending the completion of the league’s investigation and disciplinary process.

With a sudden urgency to keep Hunt off the field given the P.R. firestorm that emerged after the publication of the video, only days after Washington committed a blatant unforced error by making a waivers claim for linebacker Reuben Foster, the NFL couldn’t have suspended Hunt without pay, because the process of imposing discipline and resolving all appeals under the Personal Conduct Policy would have taken more than two days.

So Hunt will be paid to not play until further notice, with a Personal Conduct Policy review followed by a proposed punishment followed by an appeal. Which could mean that, with only 30 days left in the regular season, Hunt likely will miss most of the remainder of the regular season and postseason, depending on the number of games he’s suspended without pay.

The swift action, compelled only by the public emergence of the video and nothing more, does nothing to answer the deeper questions of whether the NFL and/or the Chiefs knew about the video and, if so, why Hunt wasn’t previously suspended. Those dominos can fall in a variety of directions, with a broad range of potential consequences.

KC can say goodbye to Hunt for at least this season........and, my guess, for longer.

If it was in the afternoon is was Clint Stoerner, who is an ex QB. His and Cecil Shorts segments are the only ones I listen to on the triple threat now that TJ is gone. Mathieu also said this on twitter, and said he forgives Witten for analyzing the play wrong lmao
Fairly certain was a receiver but didn't sound like 3 whom I've listen to but could be wrong. Maybe was Stoener but guy sounded knowledgeable about the different options DB has on each route. He evidently had not seen the play however. I remember Badger looked very confused in between two opponents and very far from the guy he left and who did score.

Why should he, he just got signed by Washington...what a joke!

thought I saw trailer that Washington signed him. Thought that was quick but I wasn't correct either.

Well, let's see

Report: the player is doing things well he was drafted to do (yes)
Report: the player needs to learn things rookies always need to learn (yes)
Report; a single line that player has been missing time with minor soft tissue issue (yes)
Texans medical: the player should be back in a "couple/few of weeks" (yes)

so still waiting for

Report; the player might be ready for pre-season game ----
Texans medical: the soft tissue issue is still lingering
Report: the player should be ready for the regular season

Then comes the regular season story where we debate the "disappointing" rookie is either

a) injury
b) missed pre-season time
c)well, he's a rookie
d )the organization in general
e) the medical staff in specific

:logo:

2 good games and a lot of disappointment; Keke Coutee rookie year

revisit pre-season conversation

Win or lose I always hated when the opposing qb don't get touch all game long. I mean I know I'm looking it the wrong way because we won but it's really unsettling knowing a cocky qb like Baker Mayfield barely has grass on his jersey in a 3+ hour game of NFL football.

The Texans own the NFL's longest winning streak and are going to win the division again. As long as Watson can remain standing, we have a shot. I can not wait to see them play their first game against very strong talent, which won't occur until the playoffs.

We've played the #2 (Bills), #4 (Jags), #6 (Cowboys), & #10 (Titans) defenses in the NFL & won. As bad as we've looked, the offense is tested.

So far we've played the #8 (Colts) offense & won. We've played the #8 offense (Patriots) & lost. Other than that, the best offense we've played is the #15 Broncos.

Defensively I doubt we face a better team than what we've faced already. The Chiefs defense is one of the worst in the league.

The stealers is the most balanced team in the AFC. Top 10 on both sides of the ball.

Throw all that out the window. What does OB do when it nut cutting time. Biggest question to everyone here. We all believe in the players. OB is the question that wont be answered till playoffs

OK, here are the teams and their schedules for the stretch run......make your predictions:

Division Leaders

Chiefs 10-2: Ravens / Chargers / @ Seahawks / Raiders

Patriots 9-3: @ Dolphins / @ Steelers / Bills / Jets

Texans 9-3: Colts / @ Jets / @ Eagles / Jaguars

Steelers 7-4-1: @ Raiders / Patriots / @ Saints / Bengals

Current Wild Card Leaders

Chargers 9-3: Bengals / @ Chiefs / Ravens / @ Broncos

Ravens 7-5: @ Chiefs / Buccaneers / @ Chargers / Browns

Grouped By Best Chances

Broncos 6-6: @ 49's / Browns / @ Raiders / Chargers

Titans 6-6: Jaguars / @ Giants / Redskins / Colts

Colts 6-6: @ Texans / Cowboys / Giants / @ Titans

Dolphins 6-6: Patriots / @ Vikings / Jaguars / @Titans

The biggest play in this format....can the Steelers hold off the Ravens and if not can the Titans or Colts make a move to be the final Wild Card team? That could come down to the final game between the Titans and Colts. I failed to include the Broncos as to having a very favorable final four games and could get that final WC spot if they won out.
