And there's where the division around here lies. If this OL suddenly gels? Looking at the talent, what on earth makes anyone think that will happen? Even if they do play "better" it's akin to pissing in your pants instead of shitting in them. ~credit to someone here saying that somewhere around here. It's still not good.
And O'Brien finally figuring out how to utilize players? Well, 4 1/2 years and waiting. I don't know why anyone believes that will happen either.
O'Brien is not a horrible coach. He is average. He can beat the bad teams, the teams he's supposed to beat, on a regular basis, but he can't beat the good teams, the teams you have to beat to win championships. 11-26 against teams better than .500. Piling up the regular season wins against mediocre to bad teams is part of the process to get to the 2nd season, and that's great and all, but that 2nd season is what this game is all about. And if the Texans aren't smashing the hapless Bengals or a 3rd string rookie QB, they're getting their shit handed to them in that 2nd season. That's not good enough.
