Will we stomp the Titans' mule?

This game was basically a matchup of Henry and Watson. Tannehill still sucks
Tannehill's INT was awful and I know he wants that one back since that was on him. Otherwise I think we like him in Tennessee. 15-4 as a starter.

Henry is now the first player in NFL history to record a 200+ rushing game in three straight seasons. And the only other player with 250+ total scrimmage yards and 2 TDs in a game in the last three years is Saquon Barkley.

Will this be enough to get certain posters off Watson’s ass?
Probably not.
Meanwhile the rest us know this kid is legit; unlike this franchise.

We’re not a championship team but we have championship players.
He doesn’t have to be perfect, but he has to be on like this or very close to it every game..

I expect us to see this from him almost every game now that BoB’s gone and they have opened it up and let him throw it more.

Tannehill is good but as long as he’s not asked to do too much. He’s no McNair but Henry might be better than Eddie George.

Meh, I didnt expect anything from this season anyway.

To me what hurts more than the loss is that the Titans just made the picks we give Miami that much more valuable AND that the Titans remsin undefeated.

Would have been nice to disappoint 2 fan bases in one day.... but meh.

Titans wont remain undefeated and Miami can suck eggs regardless for taking advantage of someone as clearly "special" as OB....that cant be good for your "karma" and I dont even believe in it.

I'll take it - this is entertainment, and this was an entertaining game. We lost, obviously would have been more fun to have won. But at least they actually looked like a football team on offense - I don't know what I was watching when OB was the coach, but it was boring as heck.

Defense is going to be a problem - we'll have to score 45 points a came to post a 500 record this season if they can't find a way to stop the run... or erm the pass.

The defense needs more players that we can’t get in one season. At least we can upgrade the RB position for cheaper lol.
Man, I would at least attempt this move. I'd be on the phone right now with the Packers and checking if they'd have any interest in moving RB, AJ Dillon (Boston College) off the roster, RB4, for any of our current veteran or veterans. Personally, I would offer WR, Fuller straight-up for Dillon. Fuller is healthy and would be an immediate asset for Rodgers being that he's actually on the field. Dillon is buried on a solid veteran RB group for the Packers. He's a big and strong north/south runner with power. I'd take his ability to run with authority versus his weakness as a blocker at the moment.

Twitter..Who everyone knows is full of experts is saying Watt will be traded to Green Bay

We'll see when they play a defense against Green Bay whether he looks like he did against the Chiefs/Ravens or how he looked against a weak/injured Titans defense.
Like watching a cat trying to cover shite on a linoleum floor. Really comes off that you're truly rooting against Watson to have any success at all since it would blow-up your theory. You're better than this. Watson is showing why so many of us see him as the asset this team has desperately needed....yet the organization has failed miserably at putting a team around him.

I want him to be successful but I'm not all hyped up when he plays well against the Jags/Beat up Titans.

Let's see him do it against the Chiefs/Ravens/Packers then I will be on board.

He did play well today.

Agreed& That’s the thing. We will have a new HC & GM next year & his contract will be something those 2 will lock on next year. I think he’d do a restructure if it meant he could stay around for a few more seasons. if not, then let him go.
I'm undecided. Do we need a RAH RAH college coach or a Pro retread

Look, I wanted say Watt but wasn't sure. If GB would trade for Watt and include Dillon in on the deal.....count me the duck in!!!! Matter of a fact, package Watt and Fuller to GB for Dillon and their 2021 RD3 or 2022 RD2. I'm telling you guys....Dillon needs that same playing time that Henry did before he became the beast he is today.

Rah rah doesn’t work in the NFL imo. you need a guy whose chief requisite skill outside of knowing football is the ability to hire good assistant coaches.....& leaves those guys to do the job he hired them to do. That’s where Kubiak had his greatest success when he left the defense to Wade...& it’s also why I believe BoB had “success” for as long as he did...b/c he left the defense alone and to Crennel.

Now, Whether that’s a new young guy or a retread who has learned from his past mistakes is largely irrelevant and I’ve decided doesn’t really matter....to me anyway.

BoB’s biggest downfall was that he just couldn’t relinquish control of the offense to his OC’s at any point. and it’s a shame really b/c had he been able to do that 1 thing, he probably would’ve enjoyed even more success here...especially when he got DW4.

Oh well onward and hopefully upward.

Polian (Mentor / Consultant)
Wolf (GM)
Highsmith (Asst GM / Director of Player Personnel)
Krajcovic (Director of Football Administration / Cap Specialist)
Sweeney (HC) + Sweeney Clemson Coaching Staff

Cowboys took the plunge on Jimmy Johnson and his Miami U staff and after everyone got a great big chuckle out of the move he and his staff proceeded to stomp a mud-hole in every NFL teams arse. I think Sweeney could do the same thing but he'd have to have a solid 5 year plan. I think Wolf, Highsmith, and Sweeney would be a heck of a solid group.

Reality.......this would never happen but it would be one hail of a way to reboot the Texans organization.

I’m just messing with y’all. :mcclain:

If anything I hope y’all beat the Chiefs and Ravens for that chance at a SB.
Superbowl wins are really good at dismantling teams. Players want more money and leave in free agency. Coaches are in high demand and go elsewhere...

Being as how this is basically a mulligan year for us, I'll root for the titans as long as it cripples them.

I know Adoree Jackson was out, but was anyone else not there for Tenn that I missed?
CnD said before the game that 4 of their CB's were either out or playing hurt and 2 of their S were playing hurt. I'm just relaying info and dont really want to discuss this any further with you. I'm sure CnD would be more than willing to discuss this with you.

Yah. Not fair to DJ, but that's really the stem of the anger. We paid a lot for him, so people's expectations are high. I see an ok player, not a difference maker like Nuk was.
Nuk wasn’t a difference maker either though. Sure he made a few big plays when he was here, but the offense and team results weren’t really any better than they’ve been since he left.

Aside from that, he hasn’t made that big a difference for the Cards either, despite his gaudy numbers.

Wasn’t thinking I missed Nuk at all these last few weeks as Fuller and Cooks have gone off off

I didn't ask CnD, I asked the person who claimed the Titans were so banged up.

Just seeing if it was legit. Apparently they were missing Jackson.

Cool.

&@$% the Titans. I’ll just wait for the inevitable implosion which shouldn’t be too far away.

He was the major starter still out. He's on IR but has been working out last week. Maybe next week vs. Pittsburgh but we'll see.

I'm more concerned about Taylor Lewan who has not finished three straight games getting dinged up. And we still don't know what's up with Jonnu Smith who also left the game.
