What Mallett brings as a (full-time) Starter

This is getting into a theological discussion so it would be nice to have a category for this along side or as a sub-forum in the NSZ specifically for theology. I will go no further here.

For a couple years we had a Religious Forum. Folks kept using it as a proselytizing forum so we got rid of it. Religious discussion goes in the NSZ.

Really? Sucks? That's a new level.

The word comes from a perverted sexual act, but is rarely used for that.

The scary thing is he's serious.

No steak and BJ day in Marshall's house.

It seems that this website is Marshalls porn. He just keeps coming back, can't help himself.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

From Aaron Wilson:

"It was always something with that guy, you just couldn’t count on Ryan to be here on time, to work hard and to do what everyone else is required to do,” said a Texans player speaking on condition of anonymity. “None of us are surprised that he’s gone. That had to happen. I wouldn’t say what he did was a distraction, but you have to have accountability and this was obviously the final straw for the organization. Good luck to Ryan wherever he winds up, but we’ve got our own things to work on. We’re trying to win some games.”

Always wonder about those players who speak on other players "on condition of anonymity”.

My boy? Just shows you're lack of compression skills.

Have you gotten your list of people to apologize to that you insulted and threw mud at behind your offensive onslaught of Clowney yet?

Never liked mallet. Never thought he WAS a good qb. Just wanted him to have a chance to develop since there was no other qb on this team with unanswered questions. How'd Hoyer look in that last game? You happy that turd is the starter?

Now, you never liked Mallet? Lol! Your existence in this thread disagrees with you.

And I have no idea why you're bringing up Clowney of all people as he is moving further into being a Jamarcus Russell level type of bust. He was just getting destroyed on the news the other day from National analysts again calling him an embarrassment.

I'm not happy that Hoyer is the starter, but I feel a hell of a lot safer with him in there than the guy who thinks he's a pitcher and not a QB that you're so infatuated with who is a no show quite frequently. At least now, you can let it go until he gets on another team and you can make a case for him there.

Like 'cak already mentioned, we used to have a specific sub-forum for religious discussions, but some folks kept beating everyone over the head with their absolutes. We just can't have nice things around here.

lol! :spit:

Although... *shudder* ...nah, ain't goin' there...

Bla bla bla. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla. Show me one post where I said mallet is a good qb. Show me one post where I said I wanted mallet to start because I think he is good. Betcha can't so shut your pie hole. If anyone here had an emotional attachment to mallet it was you with your blind hate. Well you got what you wanted and now your boy Hoyer (Mr Crack under pressure) is the starter and now look at how the team is doing. Guess what genius, he's not going to get any better either.

Just like we said. He is who he is. Wasted season on a average journeyman with zero upside. Sit back and enjoy the rest of the season with this perinial loser you cried and begged for so bad.

Yeh mallet was/is trash but when we were arguing he should start it was to see of given a real chance he could do what your boy Hoyer never could, improve and become a real qb.

You continuing this argument like you've won just shows how much a waste of time it is to ever engage you.

The word comes from a perverted sexual act, but is rarely used for that. Thus a vulgarism. There are sufficient words in the English language (even Americanized) that it's use is not needed. I am not judging others. I am indicating that there is no need for using vulgarity where it is not describing THAT vulgar act. And that, not my judgement, but the Lords where he has made it CLEAR.

I grew up in a different generation which retained shame both where appropriate and in some cases where it was not. I miss it in this generation which not only has no shame, but relishes and celebrates shameful hearts and acts.

Wait, blowjobs are a perverted sexual act?

I celebrate blowjobs. I thought all men did.

OB showed his worth as a coach by firing his backup qb. Not his DC, not his SP coach, not his OC. But no he manned up and made this team better by firing the backup up qb and kicker. Love a coach who who spots a problem and corrects it

He also fired his kicker earlier this year too.

I'll stick with my original assessment of Mallett
He is a " Smoker a Joker and a midnight Toker"

Now that everything is coming out on Mallett you have to really wonder about O'Brien/Smith ability to read people.
I assume Mallett was Bill's choice but who knows it might have been Rick's. Rick though is too clever to let anybody know that it was his. He works behind the scenes but never has accountability. That way he keeps his job. Notice how the O'Brien-Smith relationship works?
Their choices of players also backs up that they don't know how to judge people.
Can't wait for stories once Smith is let go. At some time even the McNairs should figure it out.

If they haven't figured it out by now, they're (the McNairs) never going to.

Hoyer is not my boy. Never has been and never will be no matter how much you'd like to create that for me.

He just out played Mallet, which wasn't anything difficult by any stretch. Hell, Mallet being replaced by an unemployed Yates is about the most sad thing I've seen for all the failures of Texans QB's we've had to suffer though.

Your denials of admiration for him in the same thread in which you dished out insults all over the place in his defense couldn't be more bizarre though, considering the fact that there are 49 pages in this thread and tons of posts of yours that say otherwise. People didn't forget how to read, and you're posturing as usual.

I'm gonna call you out on the "outplayed Mallet" part; the only time either of them have played well this season has been when they've been on mop up duty for the other, or when they've had a healthy Foster in the backfield. I fully expect the game against the Titans to look like the game against Tampa, and I'll be drinking heavily just to get through it!

Call me out on what? The fact that Hoyer out played Mallet. He did by a large margin, and at least showed on several occasions that he could move the ball up the field. Mallet was a total disaster every time he took the field. His missed throws were all over the place, and he struggled immensely to find open receivers down the field. The only passes he could really complete consistently were dump offs. I haven't said anything about Hoyer being anything other than a QB who played better than Mallet, as that was who he was in competition with to lead this team as a starter. That isn't saying much at all about Hoyer, so don't go running off and acting like I'm complimenting him, because I'm not. Him and Mallet were in a tight race before the season, and since the season started Hoyer showed that he was much more capable than what Mallet ever did. Mallet's multiple instances of showing up late or not showing up to work at all are other baggage he brought along the way that made him such a waste that he got kicked off the team where he was replaced by T. J Yates. :bag:

This isn't even a discussion anymore. Mallet couldn't even keep himself on the roster when his biggest competition "was Hoyer." That is the point. The fact that many of you couldn't see the silver lining in that weeks ago is strange.

Their play has been quite .... Vulgar this season. I think the word Sucks is in order.
