Undisciplined

I've said all I'm going to say in this thread. The rest of you can continue this sh!t show if you want.

It’s probably about time to lock it up.

Ok hold up. Who said anything about a girl being raped? Talk about a leap. I'm talking about a "goodie two shoes" girl (at least to her unsuspecting parents) who goes on a date and does the dirty deed but then comes home not realizing she's not put all back together and blames the boyfriend when she was the instigator and wanted it worse then he did. She's pointing fingers, playing the victim, and not taking the blame. Where you come up with rape from is beyond me, but that's a serious allegation so I wanted to set the record straight. At not one single moment was I alluding to rape. Good Lord!

It's called an analogy, but since you are too apparently dense to understand it, let me be more direct. Azeez did the dirty deed, and instead of taking full responsibility and vowing to be better for it, is playing the victim card bigtime while pointing fingers at everyone but himself, and running and whining to his two parents (Nick and Meco) saying Mommy and Daddy please it's all those nasty Jags fault. I'm so innocent and pure; protect me, Daddy. I am the victim here. Nobody likes me because I'm a black Muslim. Oh woe is me, maybe I should be the Joker because nobody understands me.

Weak. Ass. ****.
BS, you should listen to the former NFL players above your post. There was really nothing to apologize for IMHO.

So AL defending himself after being jumped by several Jags playerS is what caused the suspension? SMH
Taking off your helmet and acting like a jackass was not defending himself. Then doubling down like a moron last night. Take your punishment like a man and move on.

Players take their helmets off all of the time.

This should be no big deal. Now after getting jumped by 2 Jags players how do you expect Al to act? I dont have a problem with him showing emotion after getting jumped. I bet if you were in the same situation you wouldn't keep your cool.

He instigated and then incited further. Your argument is invalid after he was pulled away from everyone. He attempted to fight again, again being the instigator.

"All publicity is good publicity", this is just what the NFL wanted. Look at all this free attention, even reached the main stream media.

His continued lack of contrition with that post last night shows the suspension was correct and should have been even more.
Are we talking about Antonio Brown?

When was the last time someone was suspended 3 games for acting a fool?

The “House of Pain” brought much hurt to our players as teams came in with causing injury on their minds. i don’t want head hunters planning several games ahead for us. The zebras will be more bais the CNN so look for the flags to fly rest of the season. Vegas will take note on odds

An illegal forearm hit and then inciting a brawl. Get a grip and stop gaslighting.
Stop moving the goal post, I wasn't talking about the forearm hit (& Engram incited the brawl). You said

So i asked when was anyone suspended three games for "lack of contrition."

Doubt it. They got their Houston pound of flesh... they don't care what anyone else does.

I only know one thing, the number of times I have had to read the word gaslighting in this thread is.. too.. damn.. high.. so..
Reminds me of a poster who used to post a lot around here years back, always using the word “context”. Almost all of his posts, he was complaining about social issues throwing the word “context” around in every post.

If the NFL office is going to be unfair in doling out punishment, then the Texans should give them a reason to be unfair and start taking shots at players when they get the chance. Example;if Mahomes is in the pocket and Edwards gets a chance to go low and take out Mahomes knee, take the shot..

I can't remember who that was.

That’s stupid. Just be fine when it happens to CJ. You won’t be able to complain.

I would be fine with it, because it would change the Park Ave boys.

This is bigger than AL, the players etc...

You aren’t Charles Bronson and this isn’t Death Wish or Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Your bizarre fantasy has a zero percent chance of happening.

There is a real debate to be had on what level and types of contact should be allowed, and what type of punishment should be meted out when someone breaks the rules, but you’re engaging in some sort of silly violence for the sake of violence meltdown instead. As someone orange might say….sad.

I never said it would happen

I said it should happen.

I think now that the political superbowl is over people are still itching to pock a side and fight with the other to the death.

No minds will be changed.

The NFL has spoken. The punishment given. IF not for the injury this would already be forgotten about by pretty much everyone. Fines given, suspensions in effect.... but ultimately you would have burps longer than this conversation if not for the injury.

I don't agree with the hit, I also don't believe that Al is the most evil POS on the planet.

The fact the NFL does nothing to severely punish people like Mahomes that fake slide... you leave the door wide open for things like this whether Al hit him in the head intentionally or not doesn't change the fact that now you have to prove what was in the mans head and heart... a darn near impossibility.

IMO NFL kept the door open for this sort of thing.

IMO Al put a hit on TL he shouldn't have, but its not the first, will not be the last so not going to pretend he is a monster. The reason that makes me side a bit with Al is I cant see the plan as being "take out TL is our only way to win...."... its TL... you run probably a 50/50 maybe 60/40 chance of improving the Jags by taking him out.

IMO TL may or may not have slid on the cusp of too late, but putting the blame on him is beyond ridiculous.

People will agree with me, others will disagree but I can't really see anyone changing their minds at this point.

the point I was making is we play x number of games and that makes x number teams doing that to our 1 team. The House of Pain brought teams trying to cause injury. Do you remember the Glanville proclaimed House of Pain/

I'll say this about Glanville. He was the first HC to have a winning season since the 'Luv Ya Blue' days. He finished his 4 year stint (2 games as interim HC in 1985) with a winning record 33-32 .508. By just one game but still how many coaches of the Oilers were even 500.

List of Oiler HCs since the merger (1970) with a winning record.

Bum Phillips......1975–1980 55-35 .611
Jerry Glanville...1985–1989 33-32 .508
Jack Pardee.......1990–1994 43-31 .581

I liked his House of Pain bs but I could have done without him leaving tickets for Elvis & wearing all black on the sidelines, but still he made watching the Oilers fun again. Between Glanville & Pardee the Oilers made the playoffs 7 years in a row.

One other thing I know about Glanville is that Sam Wyche flat out hated him. Remember in 1989 when the Bengals beat the Oilers 61-7. Wyche even called time out with something like 20 seconds left in the game when he was up 58-7 so they could kick a final field goal.

I saw Boomer Esiason say that the players would intentionally get Wyche to fly into a rage just by mentioning Glanville's name.

With the talent Mike Holovak provided him, Glanville should have had rings on every finger.

But, Glanville was an idiot.
True & it was pre salary cap days so as long as Bud would pay them you could keep every player.

About being an idiot or at least foolhardy I remember Glanville back in the seventies when he was DC or maybe defensive assistant with the Falcons when he came up with the 'Gritz Blitz' where the Falcons would blitz up to 9 players.

It worked a few times until teams caught up on film. Any quick pass was an almost guaranteed long gainer. So the gritz went the way of the dinosaurs & is now pretty much extinct.
