Week 1 I said team was undisciplined and Demeco coached a bad brand of football. That same dirty SOB. This is apparently what some of you wanted.

Tell me what part of his comment and which one of HIS OWN words that has you so outraged? That is so defensive of the player? He said it wasn’t representative of the team. Why the outrage?
Then he needs to stand behind his words. If that play is not representative of the team he needs to cut him because this is a second offense.

Azeez Al-Shaair should be released from the team. Apparently he is a dumb, incomprehensibly stupid guy who has no business on a team with a supposed-goal of creating an intelligent roster.

This opinion has nothing to do with the quality of the hit today.

I normally don’t back track but I’m having 2nd thoughts about the hit. Trevor was sliding for the 1st down, azeez gets paid millions to prevent that. I’m going to say maybe, just maybe Azeez thought he stop Trevor before the first. I’m not going blame azeez, rewatching the play, I’m feeling neutral now.

I remember when people complained that wouldn't bring in players with questionable history/discipline. "Those players bring an EDGE! the Texans' need". LOL. It was a bad play, he doesn't need to get released. The $50,000 fine will send a message.

I am.
I am defending the player.

Lot of panties in a twist here.
Was not a dirty hit. Trevor was attempting to slide for a first. Azeez went low to stop that from happening. Hit occurred on Trevors chest/shoulder, the concussion resulted from blondie banging the back of his head on the turf. Too bad...so sad.
And before you criticize Azeez for the top notch stop, look around the league to pansies like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen who like to fake slide and then keep running for more yards when the defense lets up. Want to stop QBs from getting hurt, then the rules need to change.

In closing. Clean hit. Please..dig those panties out of those cracks and lets get back to the true issues, like our offense continuing to look anemic.

You don’t hit a sliding QB. He was rightfully ejected.

He didn’t get the message from the first fine. Money won’t do it.

Pull what crap? He was sliding. Now you have sour grapes because the LB is a moron. You want to penalize the QB because he gave himself up? :lol
The quote I was talking about didn't paste...

I was talking about the fake slides... they lead to others getting hurt. If they are showing slide and then get up and run they need to be penalized

Edge is fine. I like tough players. I don't like idiots though. I said that my opinion doesn't have anything to do with the play.

He appears to support some dumb ass **** off the field and wears shoes on the field for it. He's an idiot. This team has no room for idiots.

You might want to review the play again the hit occurred as an upper cut to his chin with his elbow brace...........considered a shot to the head.

Awww... come on... with the exit of OB and Easterby surely there is an idiot vacuum just waiting for someone to come in and fill that void. :kitten:

APPARENTLY.

Wonder if he's the cancer. There's gotta be something wrong in the locker room. I have to look at changes from last year to this year.

I'm wondering why Mahomes hasn't already gotten hit like Goldy Locks did today. Used to when QBs ran they were taking their lives into their own hands. The NFL needs to get back to this style of play, rather than the bastardized version of flag football God'ells NFL currently is playing.

This is nit the first penalty for smacking a sliding QB this year nor will it be the last. This one was ugly with bad results. We don’t need to get rid of a very good player at this point. He will be delt with by the league.

No offense, but if that was his thought process then neither of you understand the rules.

The ball is spotted where the qb BEGINS their slide. Not where they end up.

This rule is like that specifically to prevent hits like this. There is no need to attempt to stop the QB's momentum because it's not where they end up at it's where they began the slide.

I'll give you one better

Not sure how they fix that other than giving the refs the ability to make a judgment call that a ball carrier was beginning a slide and to call the play dead. But it may take some higher profile instances of this happening before they address it since as of right now it's happened on approx .00000001% of slides in the NCAA and NFL.

Edit: Just to be clear though I don't think either of these fake slide situation are like what happend today. Al-Shaair lowered his target point. He wasn't trying to hit Lawrence in the shins. Lawrence slid and Al-Shaair went low to make make solid contact with him.
