Texans Vs Lions Game Day

Lets see how long they keep up with throwing the ball. Usually they do it to just get out of a jam then go back to running.

Notice how this gameplan is on repeat until we finally turn it over.

ok now we are starting to look a little better. Carr is exposing the depleted secondary. We need to just give up running for a few plays and expose this young, inexperienced secondary.

that in turn will open up the run, cause after those first 5 for 25.... davis has been pretty flat.

PSA

The Lions do not allow 4th Quater scores at Home
They also don't score in the 4th either

So whatever team is winning at the end of the 3rd, will win this game

This isn't an "Officials are robbing us" statement or anything (they're on the Lions at least as much as they're on us today) but I think this crew has crossed a line. They're doing a fine job of keeping this game from getting started. You can officiate something to death you know. Now the stuff like face masks and Glenn's bonehead pass defense in the end zone you have to call but they're even calling the selective stuff like this is the last game they're going to get to use the flags or something. Too much ticky tack stuff. The game wouldn't be so unwatchable if they'd take it down a notch.

That depleted secondary full of young inexperienced players is making us look pretty pathetic. :thumbdown

Much like the weak, inexperienced o-line and d-line of San Diego did last week. :thumbdown

Does our coaching staff know that it's legal to throw the ball on second down and 10 or longer?

So we can get sacked or be intercepted.....what's your choice?? idonno:

We get to the 10 using passing and then Mr Conservative steps in and says we got to have our 3 Points. I'm sorry, but the Lions are suspect against the pass. So lets run the ball and give them a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've run some good crossing patters to AJ and Gaffney the last couple of possessions... I don't know why we won't go back to it. It's pretty clear we aren't going to run the ball for much until we make them respect the pass.

We have to find a new offensive cordinater at the end of this year. Palmer's playcalling will lead us nowhere. run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......run, run, pass.......
David Carr is never going to grow as a player if they dont let hin

Defensive battle. Mistakes by Texans (turnovers), bad play calling by Lions, penalties on both sides. Hope this gets prettier in the second half.

We may have lost last week, but at least we didn't stink up the field. I'm very disappointed in this first half. We should be thankful we're only down by less than a TD--against a real team like the one we face next week, we'd be down by 30.

I WOULD like to clarify that my prediction about each team having at least 7 penalties was not intended to apply only to the first half.

The good part, so do they. Only reason it's still a game (and I hesitate to call it a game but what else can you call it?)

Here's a comment I made earlier.

Our only chance forr today:: The Lions incompetence continues to match the Texans incompeteance.

So who are we going to take with the overall #1 pick in next year's draft? At this rate, that is going to be exactly where we are at. This is UGLY fotball.

hey there is still 30 mins of football left and we areonly down 4 points. this can be turned around if they make good adjustments. they have only thrown to AJ 2 times for 1 catch and 24 yards. they need to take more shots with him... nothing to the tight ends yet.... gaffney also needs to get more looks

Who has the most yards through the air. Oh, the Texans so when you get to the 10 stop throwing and give the other team a chance. The defense by in large has done a far better job than last week, but they forgot about the offense. Is it Palmer or Capers, I don't know but its time to let the team have some fun and play ball. Like some have said air it out and lets see if something happens. Our only success has been through the air as bad as Carr has been. When the other team knows you are only going to throw short makes it a lot easier to defend. I almost burnt my churros waiting for the field goal.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God gravy what excitement.!!!!!!!!!!!

Face Mask penalty to start the 2nd half. Way to go Faggins. You stupid *****!

Your on the 15 after a penalty and you don't take one shot at the end zone. That says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole coaching staff should be fired. That's nothing but loozer football.
