Perhaps Metchie should try out for the defense as he may not have a job as a wide receiver this season. The team labeled it as Alabama FootballTexans defense...I'm just![]()
. it's the offseason
Is Lachey going to sling a rock at him?
My focus on those three guys getting us to the red zoneWow, what a red zone nightmare for a defense to see him and Higgins and Collins flood the end zone.
Exactly, these big guys should really help out with the RZ woes.Wow, what a red zone nightmare for a defense to see him and Higgins and Collins flood the end zone.
With a little help Mixon can be this guy.Would be nice if at least one of our RBs could consistently punch rock in from 3-4 yards. I see many more more snaps from <5 yards this season and I don't want them to be "well we can't get 6.. bring in the 3 point guy.."
I also am hopefulWith a little help Mixon can be this guy.
4 year ~$6.5 m with gtd ~1.4 signing bonusAnyone know the terms of Noel's contract?
Texans must be pretty happy with what they have seen so far.
Is that a rumor or a guess?Game one Denver at Houston...????
Normally, I would agree. But that bye was just before the 3 games in 11 days stretch. That week 14 bye was absolutely needed. Please NFL and media Broadcasts don't screw the Texans schedule this time. For example last year 14 weeks playing before the last bye.
I'm looking forward to when they go to the 18 game schedule they have 2 byes and that will stretch the season out to where the SB is played on Presidents day Sunday. Please NFL and media Broadcasts don't screw the Texans schedule this time. For example last year 14 weeks playing before the last bye. I imagine that makes a difference in playing 14 games straight. It opens more physique and injuries imho then by end of season it all mounted up but it was too late.
It's going to happen. I just don't know if it will happen before the current CBA expires (2031).I'm looking forward to when they go to the 18 game schedule they have 2 byesand that will stretch the season out
Yes cool but it would be better imho to have the bye more around mid season time. It sure was also needed then as opposed to later. I venture most teams want it that way but you can't do all teams. So point with a schedule favor don't give Texans another late bye this time. Rotation would be nice and yes Texas deserve more in clout, respect, audience, and media stance with the schedule. Of course the best consistent teams usually take precedence or in other words the teams that bring in the national ratings and moooolah! lolIs that a rumor or a guess?

idkn wow 2031 what is CBA?It's going to happen. I just don't know if it will happen before the current CBA expires (2031).
MVP is simple:
1. CJ - we are not winning a game if he isn't playing
2. Mixon - it's very difficult for us to win if he isn't playing
3. Anything else is negotiable

Could the Houston Texans' dominant run in the AFC South come to a close next season?

Houston Texans
After the release of the 2025-26 NFL schedule on Wednesday, the Houston Texans now have the official roadmap for their quest to the playoffs next season. However, despite the franchise's recent success over the past two years, many believe the team's path will be tougher than prior years heading into next season.
In an article written by ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime on Wednesday, the Texans beat writer gave his thoughts on Houston's schedule, along with a bold claim that the organization will be fighting to clinch the division by Week 18.
THE REST OF THE STORY
ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime is a solid reporter pf all things Texans.
"The Texans will be fighting to clinch the division in Week 18," wrote Bien-Aime. "Each team in the AFC South has added talent, while the Texans have a first place schedule. So, it's not guaranteed the Texans will run away with the division like they did in 2024. The field has closed the gap on Houston."
Clickbait needs clicks, regardless of anyone's feelingsStrangely, the feeling was not the same when the Texans got a new 1st-time HC and when they got a new rookie QB.
Wills has been dealing with a severe knee bone bruise since 2023 when he also required repair of a complete tear of his MCL. Most bone bruises heal within weeks, some a couple of months, without any problems. If the bone bruise is very large, the body may have trouble getting blood flow back to the area. This is the case with Wills. The blood flow problems led to death of part of the bone and articular cartilage above it. Now being bone on bone, his best option is retirement.Kick the tires.
