No thanks!Looks like WR is being dealt with in FA.
I think NC is cooking up a deal for a LT.
Cam Robinson anyone?

I'm thinking he trades up in the 1st for a LT and adds a LG in FA.Looks like WR is being dealt with in FA.

If they move on from Howard, I would have thought they would be more aggressive in getting a FA for the o-line...but it's not over.I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they give Fisher or even Howard a shot at LT.
I know Howard’s career seems like it kind of peaked but he was always an LT playing either across at RT or inside at LG. Signing Tunsil the same offseason you’d taken your LT in the first round of the draft was always a puzzling one.
If they can develop Fisher into a quality LT then that would be a major steal in the draft, and possibly easier to develop an RT later.
Still wouldn’t be too shocked if the move on from Howard as well, I certainly expected it to be Howard gone this year and Tunsil next, doing it this way round makes me think they are confident with what they’ve got at LT.
I’m not enamored with Howard’s work ethic, injury history or attitude on the field. If Ryan want’s a total OL reset, move on & grab more draft capital.I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they give Fisher or even Howard a shot at LT.

Just me but I think it is over in free agency for above average tackles and guards. If they move on from Howard, I would have thought they would be more aggressive in getting a FA for the o-line...but it's not over.
Think he is a RG now, but yeah, change culture and learn how to swarm from a savy vet.I'd sign Kevin Zeitler and plug him in at LG. He's so SWARMY, he smells like SWARM from here.
Great culture setter, older guy...but last year he still played at a high level and is everything DeMeco is about. Due to age might be a salary fit here and would be a great bridge to a mid-round draft pick.
Hopefully they sign Zietler to play RG.Think he is a RG now, but yeah, change culture and learn how to swarm from a savy vet.

Joking aside, this is why his cap space is more important than any trade.Howard might return a 2030 RD7.
Less pretty, uglies with foul intentionsHopefully they sign Zietler to play RG.
I'm hoping for an OL that looks something like this.
Banks/Tomlinson/Patterson/Zietler/Howard
Reserves Fisher OT and Scruggs at OG
I cant tell you next yrs OL will be better than last yrs. But I will tell you they will be much smarter, so that will be an upgrade.
If shipping out Tunsil, Mason, & Green didn't wake up the guys left, they should be jettisoned. The only reason they’d be desperate to ship him out here and now that I can see is if he has copied Tunsil’s work ethic

Sad to say for both, lot of Texan fans want to see them go. How can you measure heart, nerves or toughness under duress? They both embody the exact opposite of swarm. Would be looking for new homes for both. Maybe Roger expands to Honolulu then Fair Weather Barin makes all the cents in the world. Or Tytus wants to play closer to home too, in Atlanta? In Caserio we trust.
Who was the leader? Zach Baun?My bad if already posted...

I didn't know that the NFL had performance-based payouts for players that play above their contract until I heard them talking about it on the radio the other day. (Doesn't count against the salary cap)
Congrats to Calen and Henry. That's a nice additional chunk of change.

I was unaware that he had left! Mildly shocked! There was an appreciation thread started yesterday.
It caught most of us off guard.I was unaware that he had left! Mildly shocked!
You mean, the move they made so they could sign Cam?I'm really surprised there has not been much talk other than one post about Titus Howard's new restructure.
Yep. Is he the new left tackle over Howard? You mean, the move they made so they could sign Cam?

Just another sign that the NFL thinks more of Tunsil than this board doesThe bolded below scares me.

Texans considered a top-15 team in NFL power rankings
With the first wave of NFL free agency wrapped up, attention now shifts to the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. For the Houston Texans, landing the right player at No. 25 could make or break their chances of competing in the AFC.
NFL.com's Eric Edholm recently published an updated NFL power rankings following the initial wave of free agency and he has the Houston Texans ranked 14th. That's up four spots lower from Edholm's last update and the largest tumble of any team since the start of free agency.
The biggest concern for Edholm regarding Houston? What else but the offensive line losing its best asset in five-time Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil for picks to the Washington Commanders.
"Right now, the plan would appear to be kicking Tytus Howard out to left tackle and playing Blake Fisher at right tackle," Edholm wrote. "The Texans could also flip those two, and there's still the draft left with which to add a potential OT starter, though picking 25th makes the chore tougher. Houston could move up six or seven spots in Round 1 by potentially dealing its extra third-round pick, but then again, the Texans are a bit lean on draft picks overall."
Houston did sign veteran offensive tackle Cam Robinson to a one-year deal, but he's only slightly an upgrade from what's currently on the roster. The Texans allowed 524 sacks last season, 52 of which were against Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud. Of the 54 allowed, only 2.5 were issued by Tunsil.
Meanwhile, Robinson gave up nine sacks and led all offensive tackles in pressures allowed with 63 last season between his stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings. The Texans also added Ed Ingram and Laken Tomlinson, but only one is expected to start while a rookie likely will take over on the opposing side.
Edholm did praise the Texans for adding defensive back C.J. Garnder-Johnson in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for draft bust Kenyon Green, plus the addition of wide receiver Chrisitan Kirk, it's not enough to consider Houston a "winner" of the early free agent period.
"Are they still in that area code? I'm a bit leery, although I do believe Stroud rebounding in Year 3 keeps them well in contention," Edholm wrote.
The good news for Texans fans? Houston is still ranked first in the AFC South, above the Indianapolis Colts (No. 23), Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 30) and Tennessee Titans (No. 32). The Philadelphia Eagles are ranked No.

I think we are likely to find out why sooner than later.Just another sign that the NFL thinks more of Tunsil than this board does
I knew it was bad, but damTexans allowed 524 sacks last season,
Obviously, the article had a typo.........................2024 Texans sacks allowed should have read 54 (the inserted "2" was the typo).I knew it was bad, but dam

That's what CJ said.I mean, at times it FELT like 524 sacks.
If Banks makes it that far down, I would be suspicious about something concerning himWill everyone be as concerned if Nick selects Kevin Banks at 25 and trades up for Zabel in round 1 then in 2026 includes the 2 and 4 from Commanders to again give us two round ones? Hmmm
Just another sign that the NFL thinks more of Tunsil than this board does
Normally I would agree with you but as I posted somewhere tankathon was the only site that had Banks going to Dallas and then Josh Simmons to Seattle at 18. I did a deep dive and covered probably 50 Mock sites and none had either going before 25. It just depends on team needs and many of those such as Chicago was met in free agency. If Banks makes it that far down, I would be suspicious about something concerning him
