Texans random thought of the day

Why is drafting a franchise QB not the right move? Even a sportswriter can see Young would reinvigorate this franchise.
To mediocrity
He watched him throw the ball then lowered his head instead of just bumping into him.
Unfortunately this is what football has become under God'ells watch and now it's rearing it's ugly head in college football.

Where do you think NFL QBs come from?
Midgets have a history of not playing well in the NFL.

No way Cal let's Caserio pick Stroud, so that means the Texans are stuck with the midget. This is why I'm hoping the Texans win out.

6'4" Dan Marino won zero championships. No one can predict that kind of snake oil.
LOL

When something has never happened before or very rarely then you can make pretty safe predictions.

Of course you seem to be the kinda guy that would bet on the sun coming up in the west someday, because you think it's possible. Iguess it's possible but I wouldn't bet on it happening. You would and that's where we differ.

I'm not for falling back on Oilers-like unis............we are not the Oilers.

Give me this logo on a Gun Metal Gray Metallic helmet and Gun Metal Gray pants and it could look pretty awesome as a Throwback Uniform.

As for the standard uniform…..Steel Blue and Battle Red colors would stay. The Gun Metal Gray pants would be worn at Home and on the Road.

I like the overall design of the jersey and pants in the rendering.

I'm not convinced they take a QB with the #1 pick.
Will Anderson will be hard to pass on if you don't really like the first couple of QBs.
Hendon Hooker could be a decent target with #32.
Meanwhile, you pick up the best pass rusher and WR or CB.
You could just as easily bring in a vet QB and run with him.

Do you think the other 31 NFL teams will say no? Because leaving better players on the draft board is going to be a problem if other teams draft them.
You want to go through the Derrick thing again?

That's before the sexual perversions thingy.

Only way that I would pick Stroud is if he was a Manning, Elway type prospect and he's not that

I have a feeling that Davis Mills' one year try out is over. There's going to be QB "competition" in camp next year in some form or another, either through FA or draft. I really don't see them depending on Mills for another year, and just having other half assed QBs in camp to be his backups.

All of that was before Caserio, right? If Nick is a top GM, he should be able to deal with agents.

Otherwise, I guess the Texans had better lose next week in Indy (as usual) and draft Young.

This isn't on Caserio.

This is about ownership rightfully not trusting the trash that represents Stroud. In fact Stroud choosing David from the I don't want to be banned, shows he that he can't be trusted to make good decisions on the types of people that represent him. The only way Cal deals with David from the banning word is if there's an Elway or Manning. Otherwise stay far away from that trash, their word means nothing.

Let's see what the Combine says. Last year I wrote off Matt Corral because I thought he was a 6' and < 200 lb guy. Yet Corral measured and weighed in with the same measurements as Joe Montana.

If you are looking for a pure pocket passer then yeah you want that 6'4, 6'5 guy. However, if you plan to run a lot of RPOs, bootlegs, and gameplan for the QB to run 8 to 10 times a game, then 6'5", 6'4" is not as important.

Nick is on record stating he will do business with Strouds agent in the future.
