I predicted the Texans will go 12-4 in 2018 but am I underselling how great this team actually is with a healthy Deshaun Watson? What if they go 15-1, 14-2 or 13-3? I feel like I'm slighting them at 12 wins.

Maybe, but optimism like that is the reason they're able to build such nice casinos in Vegas.I predicted the Texans will go 12-4 in 2018 but am I underselling how great this team actually is with a healthy Deshaun Watson? He's a 3 down RB. He's just a crappy one for a power scheme.
He looked pretty decent when Deshaun was running his magic show last year.
They were running more zone and he looked OK instead of horrible. He doesn't stick & go. He stutters & proceeds.
I can agree with that!
Lol
Matters more for poker players, but Arian had a huge tell. His knee would come up an extra 2-3" before he would stick. To his credit, someone must have pointed it out to him, he started using it as a fake. Damn he was good.
ummmm.... depends...I could get behind the superbowl talk if Arian in his prime were on this team
Have the Texans signed a RB in the last week. I have not followed. They need help there and I am afraid they don't see it. Just saw West signed by Chiefs. I think Foreman will be a non factor this year due to injury. Just my feeling.
Aren't you forgetting that BOB is the coach? Just being realistic. The question is… at this point in time, are the Texans legitimate SB contenders for this upcoming season? I say yes.
"Experts" not associated with the Texans are picking us. Vegas has us as the 3rd favorite to win the AFC championship.
So I say currently, this franchise is fielding a team that has a decent chance.
No one realistically should be putting the Texans in the SB this season. No way that these talking heads predicting a Texans SB would be putting their own real money where their mouths are..................as an all or none, which is what they are doing when they are predicting the top spot for the Texans.Aren't you forgetting that BOB is the coach? Just being realistic.
No one realistically was putting the Eagles in the SB last season. But it happened. No one realistically should be putting the Texans in the SB this season.
So you're saying the Texans have NO shot...?No one realistically should be putting the Texans in the SB this season. I go with that. I mean I'm hard-core Texans fan, I'm totally invested in the team but my hope for this year record-wise is that we win enough games to somehow get into the play-offs and I sure don't expect that, it's just the best I think realistically we can hope for. Now if one wants to be downright silly, OK talk SB.No one realistically should be putting the Texans in the SB this season. you've been hanging around steelb too much.

The Texans were 4-12 last year, but this isn't a 4-12 team in 2018. Outside of New England, every team in the AFC has question marks. I don't know how you are defining realistic. The Bills, Browns, Jets, and Dolphins going to the superb owl is unrealistic. The Pats going would be filed under the very realistic to likely columns. Any other team could catch lightning in a bottle. And if all goes well, the Texans have as much lightning to bottle as any other AFC team. That's not what I said in my post. Being realistic is different than giving the Texans "NO shot." You couldn't say the Bills or the Browns have NO shot, but realistically they have much less chance of reaching the Big Game than the Texans.
I was just messing with you. I do think (if healthy - which should go w/o saying) we're much closer to the Steelers/Patriots than the Bills/Browns.That's not what I said in my post. Bridgewater is only on a 1 year deal. Not a lot of value for a player you hope won't play. If something happens to Deshaun though, I would give up a 3rd day pick.
Would y'all give him a shot to battle Weeden for the back up QB spot and how much would you give up to get him?
You think 4-5 mil is too much to pay for a quality backup? Isn't that Nick Foles salary range.Teddy has been very accurate prior to injury and is long ways past his surgery. His injury sounds much as did Jaryd Jones-Smith whom the Texans have gambled on. Bridgewater's deal ($5 m) is way too much too risk IMO. Jets need to cut him as if traded his contract is guaranteed game one. If we can get him to sign our deal if he falls to us I would risk a lesser deal.

Not for healthy, solid QB but we don't know if he is. Weeden has not done anything. Foles has.You think 4-5 mil is too much to pay for a quality backup? Isn't that Nick Foles salary range.
I know Weeden is making about 800-900K. But you get what you're willing to pay for.
Both were sort of inconsistent in accuracy in TC. Where Bullock had the edge was kicking it into the EZ........Bozwell was still feeling the effects of the cut into his belly.I thought it was a "TC battle" that Boswell had actually outperformed Fat Randy, but in typical Texans fashion, they went with the incumbent draft pick instead and cut Bos...
My memory of it is a bit hazy, but sounds like how they woulda handled it
Nothing in the preseason so far has either excited me or depressed me.
Ejifore looks promising though, he seems a high value pick considering he's a 6th rounder.
Nothing to do now but wait for the Patsies game and see what's what.
I am excited to see all of our injured players from last year get on the field again.
Watt, Watson, Merciless, and the other 49 players I can’t think of right now.
That's what he said! The problem with having a really good backup QB is someone is always going to be trying to steal him. And really good QBs usually like to be the starter. We have absolutely no need for a good backup QB.
Signed,
Bill O'Brien
A mobile QB with good running skills.........but with poor footwork leading to poor accuracy and repeated high WTF interception rate.Landry Jones? the only guy in the league who can stop Antonio Brown? I dont know much about Dobbs other than he is the rocket scientist from Tennessee. Lynch has looked awful for 3 years now

Saints acquired Teddy Bridgewater from the Jets.
I am setting up a product distributorship prior to the beginning of the season in order to fill a great need here in Houston. It's difficult to place a price on happiness. So going on the premise that money can't bring you happiness, I figure to make a fortune (an introductory offer of a meager $50/for 1 month supply, followed by a very reasonable $100/month thereafter) on fans, players and coaches.............. If successfull, I will continue to offer it throughout the regular season, playoffs, and subsequent offseasons and preseasons and regular seasons...........with a generous 0.001% discount for annual contracting with autoship..........
Taking preorders now..........
