I don't care about this crap. I only care about Stroud being able to bring a Lombardi to Kirby. I don't think he's the man for the job.

Funny how I said before the draft that if I had to pick a QB in that draft it would have been Young. Take the rest of the BS that seems to be the narrative around these parts for what it is.

BTW there are plenty of dumb people of all races.

I'm pretty sure I interact with more minorities on a daily basis than posters like Speedy ever will. Many are my friends who help me pay my bills. For this I'm very greatful.

He's got all of the talent in the world. If he fails it will be because of what's between his ears. That's an uncomfortable fact for some. Many will try to explain things away and the worse part about this is I don't think Stroud is going to be a bad QB. He's basically going to be Schaub. Maybe a little better. I can remember a time when Schaub was lauded for his accuracy. This puts a team in purgatory, but hey, they will sell more tickets. Unfortunately that's what is most important to the McNair's.

Say that Davis Mills just needs a little more time & watch what's being said.

Go back & look at what was said here when people would suggest drafting Anthony Richardson with the #2 overall pick

Go back & look at what was said here when people would suggest trading for Lamar Jackson.

& it wasn't steelbtexans.

It's the same thing. Stroud is our franchise QB so I understand why some would get bent out of shape. But what steelbtexans is doing regarding Stroud is the same thing many of us did when Schaub was undertrhowing the best WR in the league.

As for myself….Stroud, Mills, and Keenum present the best QB room the Texans have ever assembled.

I wouldn’t trade Mills b/c he’s going to get his best developmental time ever afforded to him. With Keenum on the sideline with him….it’s going to be non stop tutoring. With Mills and Keenum, the Texans would be in a position to continue whatever momentum Stroud has established should he be injured.

I like the idea of this group remaining together through Mills and CK’s contracts.

Please explain to me how’s that the same. Nobody was crucifying Matt’s personal life at all. Dude is attacking CJ’s upbringing, and the supposedly company he keeps. People were attacking Matt’s play on the field. Another thing when have anyone said anything remotely close about Matt’s mother? This man even said some negative stuff about CJ’s mother.

So again how is that the same?

I remember a time when fans were camped out in front of Schaub's house shouting obscenities at Schaub and his family. Nobody seemed to care, but if you bring up facts about Stroud, his upbringing and the people he hangs with you're negative. This just in, the young man's a millionaire now, I doubt he cares what any of us think about him, his play etc...

Really? Without knowing their backgrounds did you call them dumb trailer trash, living out where the cars are up on blocks and their houses are on wheels? You know, outer city? Did you mention they were sure to produce dumb children? Were their parents midget Mississippi chiropractors? Or did you just question their football acumen? Before you start making your excuses the next time you want to mention all your inner city BFF’s don’t wait until you have already made dozens or hundreds of posts writing off their dumb, jailhouse, bad company inner city lives. Doing so later to try to justify your recorded body of work just sounds so embarrassingly manipulative. I'm very happy with my lot in life and it's not my fault that guys with Stroud's background have never won championship. Not only do these people help pay the bills, many play golf together with me. Come to our draft day get togethers etc... I hope you're as happy as I am. You're trying to make this into a race thing, when actually it's a class thing and trusting a billion dollar business to the class of people Stroud comes from and hangs out with historically doesn't turnout well. Maybe Stroud will be different but I wouldn't bet on it, the same way I wouldn't have bet on Derrick or a guy with Favre's issues in meth bound Mississippi.

As far as Stroud goes, I call it as I see it, deal with it.

Where do you get that I pray for hours every morning? This is the 2nd time that you've made this assertion. As far as Stroud goes no QB with his background has ever won a championship. That's a fact and I guess you cant handle this. Personally I could careless and I'm going to sit back and watch the show. BTW, I dont expect Stroud to be a bad QB, I just dont expect him to shine when the lights get bright.

Not really different at all. Posters including myself were critical of Schaub. Some took it overboard, way more than questioning Strouds family/upbringing and the people he's chosen to surround himself with. IMHO

Pretty sure he's proven that he doesnt fold when the lights are the brightest...cant blame him on not going to the national championship game b/c his place kicker missed a chip shot of a fg...thats not on him...he did everything he could to keep his team in the game and the chance to win at the end.
