Texans Player Transaction DISCUSSION Thread

May as well speculate over the cut delay. Can more than one trade be in the works that are currently bottlenecking roster moves? Could be player exchanges?

I’m sure the moves have already been made, just not filing the paperwork until they have to… could be looking for a trade partner for some names that are getting cut so a team could skip waivers to secure them. Like the Texans did with Mixon.

The handwriting was on the wall after Saturday. Plus, Pitre pretty much took over his position, and they also have the fellow from the Patriots with a somewhat duplicative skillset. For some reason, his name escapes me.

PS - All you British Brooks fans just got a big lift. He's yet to be cut...AND they have released Beck. Stay tuned!

Where are you getting this info? NFL.com shows Noah Brown and McTelvin Agim as the only players waived.

yes was super glad to see beck cut...now I can put more faith in this organization! Noah Brown being cut and not traded for something is surprising...I think they try to get Skow on PS

just waiting to see DP on the list and Akers promoted to #2...woods over noah brown is intersting...must be a concern of injury b/c when healthy noah brown outplays woods and its not even close...happy to see Brooks, Jordan, and Taylor are all on the team so far...
 
No surprise, but Brandon Hill is going on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury requiring surgery.

yeah figured that much as soon as he was carted off in the rams game with that air brace around his knee...to the IR again...ugh would like to see him healthy and see what he could do with a year of playing under Demeco
 
The RB room is "likely" to be Mixon, DP, Dare, and Akers (in no particular order). British Brooks is also a possibility as an FB/RB hybrid. The list is not final, so take it with a grain of salt.

would love to see BB take becks spot at FB now that beck and skow has been cut, then hopefully we can stash Jordan and Taylor on PS for development.

I really liked Tooley but he needs to better direct his aggression. He drew too many penalties but he laid some wood.
