Texans @ Chargers: Gameday Thread

Need a new coach. We NEED SOMEONE WITH FIRE IN THEIR BELLY. I was watching the Top 10 NFL feunds on NFLNHD last night and they had Jerry Glanville at #5. We NEED A GUY LIKE HIM OR BUM to take our loser program around.

I am SICK AND TIRED of our BS CORPORATE LIKE attitude from the top. Football is a game that involves passion. We need an unconventional fiery guy to take us out of our suckitude. Please let's get a guy like Bum or Jerry Glanville here. I got mistyeyed seeing him, our old Oilers, the House of Pain etc. He doesn't get the credit for building a team that went to the playoffs straight for almost a decade.
 
Why in the heck is Ron Dayne in the game when it's over and you know what he can do? Just another basic reason to let Kubiak go after this season if he can't get these guys to .500.

This just hit me. Where the hell has Anthiny Weaver been all year?? I guess he has been starting, but I cannot recall him making any significant play all year.
 
Kubiak is in over his head. He was comfortable being a coordinator and a guy not in the spotlight. I guess that comes from being a career backup to Elway.

Our gameplans have been atrocious. At this point, he is on par with Capers. I hate how badly this team is screwed up. Its so depressing.

one thing i never understood is his coordinator reponsiblities and achievements in Denver. I was pretty sure Shanahan was calling all the plays. What exactly did Kubes do?

He plays well against the run...does nothing against the pass at all. And we pay him alot. Another great personell decision to put him with Mario at DE. That should scare QBs.
 
Marcus, the difference is that we SUCK. Belichick and Dungy are great coaches but they took over GOOD TEAMS. We are a bunch of LOSERS. You need someone here to SHAKE THINGS UP. Glanville turned around possible an even worse team in the Oilers and rebuilt first pride, defense, and gave our fans hope. That is what we need. Houston NFL history is not great but if you look at history we have had NONCONVENTIONAL guys like Bum and Glanville to get us good. You think Pardee could have turned our team around. He was able to take a good team and just stay the course. We need a guy like Coughlin here. I hope he leaves the Giants so we can grab him.

More than Kubiak, at least visually. Kubiak always has poor body language and doesn't look all that confident as he looks at his feet at the podium game after game. At least Belicheck and Dungy appear confident when they talk. This is one of the softest teams I've ever seen. This goes to how they pick their players and how they go about deciding what kind of personalities a football team should be made of.

NAH , I'M NOT BLAMING KUBIAK..WE ARE STILL DIGGING OUT FROM THE FIRST FOUR YEARS. HOPEFULLY AFTER THIS SEASON IS OVER WE WELL HAVE MONEY TO SPEND.
 
Kubes isn't going anywhere. Him and Rick Smith are on year freaking 2 and we actually looked good somehow at the beginning of the year.

I wouldn't mind Bill Cowher but I don't see McNair replacing a HC so soon.
 
Coughlin is a no-nonsense guy who is committed to discipline on and off the field. He started the Jax program from scratch and had them be in the playoffs for several years. He has had the Giants in the playoffs 2 out of 3 years despite them being HORRIBLE the year before he came aboard.

McNair is a HUGE part of the problem. I am tired of him placing more importance on whether a guy is clean cut, a Christian (why the hell does this matter), etc. I want a team that WINS. If it takes GLANVILLE TACTICS I am for it. Hell splice in porn like Jenkins did, I don't care. I am tired of seeing a pathetic team. I WANT TO WIN AT ALL COSTS. Get me some roided coked up thugs for all I care.

Yeah, let's pass on 3 franchise QB's because we already have David Carr.
 
NFL teams routinely go from worst to first now with a coaching change. Let's roll the dice and maybe we will get lucky once and for all. This team needs to stay in San Diego. I would rather have LOCAL guys from a BEER LEAGUE representing our town if they played with passion.

i agree, i think we need a little more thug on our team. can we get peek back? he would take someone out from san diego for the hit to schaub?
 
If not for Kris Brown we would be 0-6 since winning the first 2 games. I don't care who you are, your ass should be feeling fire if you go on a streak like that.

I want McKinney, Salaam, Pitts, and Dayne cut. Rick Smith must be ORDERED to fix this pathetic line and if he won't FIRE HIM and get someone who will. Then simultaneously work on getting some secondary guys without their heads buried in their ass. That's a start. EVERYONE ON THIS TEAM SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

Cut Ahman right now. Another bust of a pick up. Echemandu a guy from the STREET looks better than him and actually plays. Guys need to get CUT this week to send a message. Richard Smith should get the axe as well. I would fire Kubiak in the offseason as well of course.
