Texans 2014 Training Camp

I'd be more worried if Cowney DIDN'T make the plays preseason or not.

If he didn't make the plays I am sure there would be a 30+ page thread on how he is a bust and takes plays off

You mean like Khalil Mack who has been lost all preseason long and not living up to the hype?

6. Speaking of Arian Foster, he roasted Broncos Pro Bowl CB Aqib Talib up the near sideline right in front of the Broncos defensive backs. Earlier in the week when Foster was aligned out wide as a

receiver, one of the Broncos yelled out "fish out of water". Now, I wasn't sure if that was meant to deride Foster or if it was just an alert that a RB was at a WR position. Either way, that fish out of water looked like found his own swimming pool, burning one of the NFL's best today.

7. WR DeAndre Hopkins wanted in on the act too. He made a juggling, toe-tapping grab in the far left corner of the end zone over Chris Harris. The Bronco's reaction was priceless as he turned around thinking there was no way Hop could make the catch and when he did Harris was equal parts shocked and angry.

8. QB Case Keenum then went into check down mode for the first few plays of his series, finding Ronnie Brown for two or three straight catches. Then, Keenum threw a dart to EZ Nwachkwu for a touchdown. The former Aggie receiver then took a strong shove from Broncos rookie Bradley Roby and hit his head hard. But he got up and was fine for the rest of practice.

9. During 11-on-11, the Broncos defense got the best of the Texans. It's just amazing to me that a pass rusher the quality of Von Miller drops into coverage at all. Thing is he can do it and he does it well. But, like Clowney, I'd rather just see 58 rush the passer all day long. Well, just not on Saturday night, ya know?

When did Aqib Talib become one of the NFL's best?

I wouldn't get too excited over practice hype. I do believe the Texans are underrated but we have holes just like all teams but game planning and executing will be sooooo crucial for us.

Well has a trophy to prove it!
he sure does

....of course that was 2010.
:D

he has proved that he looked pretty dadgum good last night against Detroit.

You're an all or nothing kinda guy.

I would love to invite you over for a nice little game of poker.

It never was a question of whether Bortles would be a good QB, he's definitely better than anyone on our roster.

It was who was the best player we could get to help our team.

Clowney, to me anyway, looks like the best player we could have hoped for.

I simply answered a question

There was an enormous question, many said he was the next Blaine Gabbert (maybe you included?).

A Franchise QB always trumps a DE or a OLB.

In a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, a Franchise QB always trumps a DE or a OLB.

BUT he still has to prove he is a franchise QB and a few preseason games does not do that. I was a Bortles fan myself and i wanted us to draft him as well. We didn't, but i will hold off on crowning him a future HOF until i see him play some meaningful games.

I've always thought he was a very good CB but he was usually too much of a head case off the field.

A good year in the Patriot's spotlight will garner much more praise than a good year on a bad Buc's team.

Talib will probably be playing in the SB.

Certainly not Texan worthy.

I never said anything about Bortles.

I live in Orlando and he has a good reputation here from college.

Time will tell if he turns into a great NFL QB or not.

Doesn't matter though, Clowney is a great pick and we will find a QB down the road.

Made our team better, that's all that matters.

You act like not picking Bortles is the end of everything.

Passing on Nassib killed us deader .

Bortles has looked good in pre season. What he will ultimately become is unknown, though it's looking good for him. The end.

Back to texans pre season.

Noticed that too, eh? He looked like a DB when he plucked that INT. It looked natural for him.

Regardless of the naysayers, this guy is gonna leave a mark.

Hide-N-Watch.

i like mack, Hal and Bouye. I think all 3 have major potential.
