What's your point? You have to click on the link to read the article. The discussion was more about tendencies, formations, and analysis than just simply stats.
Warren Moon is a Hall of Fame player and by far the best QB that has ever played in Houston.
Houston's football teams are nothing but losers, so I guess those stats are for us.
The inherent problem when you continually post the above without context or further explanation is the redundancy of your perspective and lack of value to the on-going discussion.
Perhaps you should place it in your signature so you don't have to keep typing the same thing over and over again?

I really wish the USFL would have survived. Jim Kelley playing in “Mouse” Davis’s run-and-shoot offense was beautiful to watch. Damn, would could have been.
To the Texans, they’re going to have a plethora (I think I know what that word means) of receiving weapons on the field. The question is, can David Johnson get to the second level of the defense on those inside runs? Will the linemen get a hat on the ILB’s and safeties? If those things happen regularly, the offense can be very potent.
He shouldn't be in the HOF because of Buffalo and probably wouldn't be if not for Pancakes

The problem with Houston football fans is they've never seen great QB play when the highest stakes are on the line. So they have no reference point.
George Blanda was the best QB Houston has.evwr had.

It's hard to compare eras, so I will ignore completion percentage, but didn't George Blanda lead the league in INTS for four consecutive years with 42, 25, 27 and 30 INTs? In seven season, didn't Blanda only have 3 winning seasons?
Finally, I didn't know being a Houston football fan prevents us from watching other NFL QBs, playoff games or the Super Bowl to have a point of reference on QB greatness.

Besides the offense is going to be much different with more speed and less Nuk. So in this case stats really don't apply.
The DVOA guys are really laughable. Bet they can't figure out how the Texans have won so many AFC south championship's.

You’re talking about personal stats and team stats. This insert has nothing to do with that. It’s talking about what the Texans like to do on offense. It breaks down in detail their tendencies and where they like to attack/ attempt to attack. I don’t know why you’re all of sudden hung up on this notion about stats being for losers.
Because you can't compare last yrs stats to this yrs stats. Particularly with a new RB/WR corps and hopefully DW4 grows and they let him open up the offense more.
Almost every topic of discussion is about statistics in one form or another.
If you want to talk about how many rings somebody has that is a stat. If you want to talk about how many times a team has won a division title once again that is a stat.
Ninety percent of the draft talk is based on statistics in on form or another.
If we talk about the strength of the upcoming schedule that is based on the statistical record from last year.
In my opinion using and understanding available data is one of the best ways to try and understand what the coming season will bring.

I don't care if Moon was a 1st ballot HOFer, what did he ever win? Not just in Houston either. He did have the GREATEST choke job in NFL history on his 1st ballot resume though, maybe I expect too much from guys I think should be in the HOF. Maybe that's why I like the baseball HOF the most. They have a higher standard for admittance to their HOF. BTW, Bonds/ Clemens/Rose should all be in the HOF.
Speaking of minor leagues I guess those CFL championship's count enough make Moon a 1st ballot HOFer.

This is not personal. You obviously feel very strongly about this statement. So this is not a 'pile on steelbtexan' thread, but instead one where you can freely argue/debate anything and everything about statistics being for losers.
QBs are and should be judged by how they play on the if stage. Houston has only had 1 QB that played his best on the big stage.

First of all, that wasn't the point of the original thread. Not once did the OP say, "This is how we'll look in 2020." The OP was just sharing info about 2019.
2nd... the offensive philosophy will still stay the same. BOB is still here. Kelly learned from BOB. The QB is the same. 75-80% of the starters on offense is pretty much the same. I highly doubt we're going to have a drastically different designed offense.
