What makes you think they got along.
You’re not comprehending. The dispute isn’t whether this person told you something that was true or not. It’s whether u chose to believe it and then make up your own biased conclusions off that..b/c you already had a bias beforehand. So unless there's more you know about CJ that you aren't telling.....Based off this 1 story you heard from your "source" you came up with all these biased conclusions:Nope, it comes down to believing in what the person who told me these things. It has nothing to do with personal leanings. You either believe this person or you dont. After yrs of being friends with this person I've got no doubt they were telling me the truth.
Slowik was a dead man walking the minute CJ was drafted.Zierlein said Slowik got in CJs face. CJ returned the favor.
Then Demeco had to do damage control to get CJ to agree to get drafted for Texans.
CJ was adult and mature enough to reconsider.
Season One no issues. Winning. Everyone big happy family.
Season Two when Slowik’s offense couldn’t block or score in the second half is when problems happened. Slowik lost the locker room. That’s on Slowik.
How many times when the Texans lost you heard a player say - “We need to game plan better?” I heard it quite a few and commented here about it. Now we know why. Slowik was a dead man walking in the middle of the season.
Look at the crying (feel free to disagree with me)You’re not comprehending. The dispute isn’t whether this person told you something that was true or not. CJ needs to grow up
CJ's not a leader
CJ has problems with his OC's.
That is the issue. Mind you there were 2 people involved in the situation....but you only have takes on the 1 you guy you already low key had it out for b/c he's a client of another guy you don't like.
Lol....based on what CJ did in college, he was probably on point to have "issues" with 1 of his OC's there if that's even true..which im sure probably isn't...espcially if u keep bringing it up. I mean Look at all this..Look at the crying (feel free to disagree with me)
Leaders dont pout, they act more like Mixon and less like CJ.
0-2 on OC's and counting.
Feel free to disagree with me.
He got along with all of his college coaches too. That’s not true. He got along with Slowik.
CJ didn’t have any issues with his college OC. The coaches over there said CJ was very coachable and that he got along with every last one of them. I posted a tweet last night and dude ignored it.Lol....based on what CJ did in college, he was probably on point to have "issues" with 1 of his OC's there if that's even true..which im sure probably isn't...espcially if u keep bringing it up. Look at his 1st 2 years in the NFL LEADING his team to the playoffs & winning a playoff game..
Look at how his own teammates & peers look up to him having him ranked as the 20th best player in the league as a rookie...
Look at Slowik in the unemployment line........still.
Get out of here bro.
Slowik was a dead man walking the minute CJ was drafted.
I was surprised they had successful rookie yrs together. Imagine if you were on an interview and the interviewer said something you didn't like and you acted like CJ did, what do you think the chances of you being hired would be. Well upper mgmt demanded that a QB be taken and the rest is history.

Exactly! If I'm in an interview and I'm telling a potential employer how I did something at another company to demonstrate my knowledge and they dropped, "I don't give a F*** what you did at that other company", that's an immediate red flag and a disqualifier for working with that person or company. If I was in an interview and the interviewer got in my face like Slowik did I would have the same reaction and get back in their face and be ready to throw hands.
Plenty of other places that could use my talent that I could go work for.
But guess what - upper management knew of my skills and had one of the top executives come begging for me to reconsider.
So I said Ok.
You asked if I was in the room. Adam Schefter breaks news and uses sources all of the time without actually being present. So, having sources doesn’t mean being present firsthand.
BTW. Did anyone from the 49ers come along to coach besides Slowik? Isn't it odd that with all of these teams running this Shanny/Kubiak scheme, they hired an OL coach who was unfamiliar with the scheme? That is the issue. Mind you there were 2 people involved in the situation....but you only have takes on the 1 you guy you already low key had it out for b/c he's a client of another guy you don't like.
It's hilarious that Adam Schefter is being used as an example of insider information. Many people in the media despises Schefter because he is a useful tool for agents, players and teams. In return for favors, regardless of the veracity, he will spread whatever they want to get out to the public. Then that’s called taking all information being delivered with 3rd, 4th, etc parties with a grain of salt.
Reminds me of that whole 1938 Orson Wells, War of the Worlds broadcast….sure had folks coming out of their skin in fear, but it was just a story.
Did you hear the part where Zierlein said that Slowik was a "by the book coordinator" who didn't really have a "feel" for the Shanahan scheme that other coordinators have?Slowik was a dead man walking the minute CJ was drafted.

Neither one of you guys answered my question. If you acted like CJ did during that interview would you be hired, regardless of how the interviewer acted?Slowik was a dead man walking the minute CJ was drafted.

Former Eagles OC, now Commanders QB coach. Johnson's one season as the Eagles coordinator was controversial. Fans and media questioning play calls, questions regarding who was actually calling the plays, and the strange love/hate triangle between Johnson/Hurts/Nick Sirianni. All the while, the Eagles had a top 10 scoring and yardage offense.Brian Johnson (Eagles OC) would be a nice interview.
Oh but if he had Saquin Barkley he would still be their OC.Former Eagles OC, now Commanders QB coach. Johnson's one season as the Eagles coordinator was controversial. Johnson also coached Dak Prescott at Mississippi State. He's been around a lot of successful QBs. Has play calling experience, is young (37), and has been with successful teams. Checks a lot of boxes.
Barkley is a problem solver.Oh but if he had Saquin Barkley he would still be their OC.
The Texans are going to hire Popovich as OL coach? Is this the same Popovich the Texans fired last week?
Are you equating a job interview to a pre-draft interview? Not sure that's as apples to apples as you are making it out to.Neither one of you guys answered my question. If you acted like CJ did during that interview would you be hired, regardless of how the interviewer acted?
You are being interviewed by your potential future bosses in both situations, correct? Seems pretty apples to apples to me.Are you equating a job interview to a pre-draft interview? Not sure that's as apples to apples as you are making it out to.
I can tell a future boss, thanks but no thanks; for the most part a draftee cannot. A potential draftee can get up and walk out of an interview, just like a potential employee can get up and walk out on an interview.I can tell a future boss, thanks but no thanks; for the most part a draftee cannot. Wait! Thunderkyss rode the big lightning bolt into the sky?
Cj has definitely not earned this. He had a good year & a fools gold year. We don't know who this kid is.Whupassed or not, Chris Jones and Stroud can lead my team anytime and...
Cry all the way through four quarters if they want to.
I'm hoping he grows up & man up.If you disbelieve Stroud can take us to the Super Bowl you should be coming up with trade options immediately. I am waiting!
Where were all these stories and concerns when he was having one of the best rookie seasons ever?
I didn't know how to put this into wordsCj has definitely not earned this. He had a good year & a fools gold year. We don't know who this kid is.
Doesn't matter what I think about him crying like a bch.. or what steelbtexan or djohn2oo8.
Hopefully it's a motivational chip for the guy. We'll see who he is soon enough.
Makes me wonder what kind of bs y'all would come up with if we drafted Sanchez
![]()
Or Gabbert.
Me too man,I'm hoping he grows up & man up.
Hopefully it's a motivational chip for the guy. We'll see who he is soon enough.
End of this week..I would think we would have heard "Chip Kelly scheduled for interview next [fill in a date].
End of this week..I would think we would have heard "Chip Kelly scheduled for interview next [fill in a date].
I am thinking that a private call has been made and Kelly said not interested.
I know I went "CJ Ohio State, first round draft picks Egbuka receiver and offensive tackle Josh Simmons Ohio State..." hmm
I think we might have helped Kelly and his oline coach Frye get raises.
Yes, but a potential employee walking out of an interview never has to deal with that person again, a draftee might and that's a significant difference.A potential draftee can get up and walk out of an interview, just like a potential employee can get up and walk out on an interview.
- Texans had Chip Kelly on initial lists but he decided to stay at OSU
- Former HCs like Doug Peterson & Mike McCarthy aren’t really big candidates
- His PERSONAL opinion is Jerrod as OC and Lazor on stuff would be best hire
- Cole Popovich is expected to be promoted as Head OL coach
- Hire probably goes into next week
That was back when we had men of action in the FO like Easterby. You know when the Texans wanted Caserio Cal flew on the company jet to go get him.
If we wanted Chip Kelly I would fire up the jet and talk to him in person vs a phone call.
Yeah... if Kelly is out I'm sure they're going internal. JJ will be OC, Pop will be OL coach (which I don't have a problem with) & Case will be our QB coach.... I think Cj would actually like this if he can't get Kelly or Day.
If so, it adds in my opinion a slight increase of concern for 2025.Yeah... if Kelly is out I'm sure they're going internal. JJ will be OC, Pop will be OL coach (which I don't have a problem with) & Case will be our QB coach.... I think Cj would actually like this if he can't get Kelly or Day.
