If you want to get down to brass tacks Watson works for Caserio now so its not really on Caserio to "get in his car and go to him". I said from the outside looking in it appears that way and I base that on Cal saying he has tried to contact Watson. If that wasn't true or Watson had tried contacting them then why hasn't he, Watson, set the record straight and said "Hey McNair, you haven't contacted me about anything. You have my number and its not showed a single missed call from you."

As far as the other thats an immature attitude particularly in the work place. My boss asks for my input all the time, sometimes she takes it most times she doesn't but I never take it personally. I 100% agree Cal should have not even mentioned it to him but to be honest lets play the "what if" game and ask what if Cal hadn't mentioned it to him or consulted with him at all. Do you think his reaction would have been different? Honest question because I'm not sure it would have.

Tantrum is doing what Kevin Porter from Cavs is doing. Deshaun ain’t doing nothing, said nothing. Y’all are mad at him for not talking about what the media said. For a group of people who consistently say they don’t believe what the media say y’all sure do put a lot of value in what they “report”. None of us are him or front office we don’t know what’s really going on. Instead of just letting this whole thing play out y’all want to sit up and get mad at Deshaun and call him every childish name you can think of which to me is childish within itself.

I know what I see and what I see from him are cryptic tweets that just fan the flames and he doesn't have to make. I know what I don't see and what I don't see is him coming out and saying its overblown or that there is an issue but they are working on it and everyone just calm down. I'm not putting any value in any "report" I am going strictly by Watson's own actions and thats why I say he's not showing great character.

Also he is saying things.

"Some things never change" He is far to smart to not know the S storm that would kick up. and then "I was a 2 now I'm a 10" after the other person said his anger vs the Hopkins trade was 2 and 10. He very much is doing things and saying things.

If he has a problem with the Texans thats fine I can understand that and even support that but the way he is going about it just makes everyone look bad and makes things miserable for the fans and thats on him as much as it is the Texans.

I really don't know. I do think that since Cal offered to consult with him or take his input, however it was worded, he really created a bad situation when he didn't.
Years ago I was told at work to get employee involvement on the way work was being done, I did, then presented the info and he (rightfully) went in a different direction. Employees were pissed and felt like they were played. There were bad feeling for awhile.
If Cal never involved DW4 and brought in NC and allowed NC to hire the coach, DW4 would have had an opinion like the rest, but not with all the "noise" that's happening now.

As big as a national news item that this has turned into, I would have done something to have a face to face with DW4 as soon as he arrived if I was Caserio. I don't know what that would have been, but something. Seems like this would be the ubber hot item on Nick's plate as this will effect all of his HC interviews. It's gotta be a big deal in the minds of these HC prospects. Makes a huge difference one way of the other for them.

At this point it has nothing to do with the media, it has everything to do with Watson. We wouldn't have to guess if what the media reports is true or not, if Watson would confirm/deny. Instead, chooses to fan the flames and then sit back and watch his employer be dragged thru the mud as a result.

From a fan perspective, we can call Watson every name in the book, just like we already do to McNair, Easterby, OBrien, etc etc etc. Watson is not above our reproach.

We hired Caserio on the 5th and at that point the HC interviews were basically reset. Jets interviewed Saleh on the 8th and 6 days later they were hiring him.

If the Texans are to be believed Caserio had to return for a funereal right after being hired so he got a little bit of a late start.

Like I said bad timing all around but I would rather miss out on Saleh then have another case of the GM not hiring the HC.

well i was thinking of that but in the past it seems like teams use the first year has a wash and get there franchise qb in year 2 along with his supporting cast at the same time and then u pretty much have a 5 year window

With DW4's no-trade clause he'd get to pick the team he gets traded to. That means Houston likely wouldn't even net the best possible trade package for him.

We're getting pennies on the dollar basically. But at least we have David Johnson and dummy Easterby.

well said. I will add not only does it makes things miserable for fans but it seriously hinders out ability to hire a quality HC which could have disastrous affects on our ability to build this team in the future. This has gone on long enough. I like Watson but this BS is hurting this team and his teammates. He’s not Being a leader right now and that is just as important as his on field play.

How about a roasting Wednesday.... those that wanted to protest on Watsons behalf... instead march and a destination on Kirby.... hold a bonfire in a wide open parking lot.... burn scarecrows with the face of OB, Easterbunny and Cal while in "compromising positions" with eachother. (OB is gone, but he highlights the incompetence of his ex employer.)

Roast marshmallows and social distance, fun for the whole family.
