If you listen to Foster enough, he will tell you himself he had some issues.
When Foster broke out there was an NFL Films story on him and he showed Kubes chewing him out in practice for fumbling.

So you would force the special teams coach on a new HC?I would fire everyone except the special teams coach and hire a gm or hire the coach, like Payton and let him do what he do and run the show.
BouyeDont know who went to Jacksonville.

Well this time he is off the hook with having to hire a minority - he has done that two times in a row.Deserves got nothing to do with it
I want a new HC. I believe the GM should pick the HC. I don't want Caserio choosing the next HC.
Simple as that.
Y’all know where i stand on this. Anyone thinking much more could’ve been done over these last 2 years from the GM perspective is delusional. We could’ve brought in Bill Polian and this team wasn’t going to be doing anything or positioned any better. For that reason, NC deserves to stay. Lovie and Pep can kick rocks.
Drafting a CB #3 overall and only letting him play press-man 16 snaps in 9 games is a fireable offense. Lovie for not utilizing a player with top 3 talent to his potential. And Caserio for not being on the same page with his HC that they are going to play the player in such a fashion.
The value for the position does not match the pick if you are sitting him in zone all game.
That’s not necessarily true. If NC had this reputation as having a hand in the play-calling during Culley’s one season, then you’ve automatically detracted high-end candidates from wanting to take the job as HC.
Think of it this way, if Harbaugh wants to leave Michigan, he will choose Denver or Indy over us every day of the week and twice on Sunday because he will have player control. NC only gets you some good candidates. Not all.

This is ridiculous. It was Lovie's defense and Lovie's scheme. He knewc what he had before the draft which was the worst run defense in the NFL yet he stated that better cornerback play was needed. He could have addressed the DL & LB groups but his focus was on the secondary he knew was going to be playing in a soft zone. He hung himselfI agree with this to an extent. It’s also plausible to think Lovie’s options were limited due to not having a run defense being DFL in the league. It’s so much easier to freeze your LBs on PA when you know you could be gutted for a 10 yard run on any down. Sauce’s press-man stats look so good because he IS talented but he also had the benefit of a better run defense and pass rush.

Alex GibbsSo who gets credit for Arian Foster, an all pro? Or the kid who went to Jacksonville for big money?
Gibbs and ZBS made Foster. Gibbs could take an average RB and put him in his ZBS system and the RB would be 1st or 2nd RB in rushing. He was the best RB on the roster and was stashed on the practice squad most of the yr. The last 2 games that yr AF got to play and his talents shined brightly.

That's why I love those guys off that Shanny/Kubes tree. Slaton before injury and Tate when healthy were pretty good.Gibbs and ZBS made Foster. Gibbs could take an average RB and put him in his ZBS system and the RB would be 1st or 2nd RB in rushing.
