Watson allegedly did this to White, Black & Latina women. He doesn't discriminate. Bill Cosby, on the other hand, preferred a particular ethnic group.

Taking out someone is one thing but there are at least 22 women involved here. If it comes out watson is friends with Todd and Uncle Jack then I’d be concerned.

I guess no one saw “North Dallas Forty”. I don’t think players became choir boys since that movie was released in 1979.....they probably got far worse since then. It only becomes an issue when one of them gets outed for being so stupid and naive.

Still not my point. I was just wondering about the real motive of those making the death threats. Do they see DW as a racial victim in this situation just as OJ was made to be Or are they just your typical weirdos. it was just a question that in today’s world unfortunately can be asked.

Watson and his team could not have handled this any worse. You'd think an organization such as Athletes First (the second most valuable agency in the NFL, according to Forbes) would have competent, law savvy people working for them but it sure doesn't seem like it.

We don't even know how many people actually made death threats, much less their motivation. It could be two people or two hundred, motivations could be between poorly executed trolling to legitimate threats.
 
Things are getting worse...as if they weren't bad enough. You have some normal fans tossing hate at both Watson and the woman who is accusing him. Then you have a chance of one or more of them being legit crazy people who may harm either of them. Even if Watson settled today he may well have set himself up to leave town for safety. As for the accusing party, I hope she has some type of protection. Crazy people do crazy things. With no true way to know if any threat is more than just that...she has the right to some form of protection.

He picked what he was in the mood for and went for it. I was on Instagram a little while ago and put Massage Therapist in search. I can safely say that over 3/4ths might give a massage. Yet they are far from a therapists and closer to strippers and prostitutes. Watson knew what he was doing, he can't argue that he didn't. Even a good lawyer has to see that defense is not going to work.

'Buzbee said he initially suggested the sides enter in private, confidential mediation. Gaffield rejected that, Buzbee said, and asked for a demand letter outlining what Solis wanted. Buzbee offered to settle the case for $100,000, he said, which Gaffield also rejected.
“We don’t believe that the alleged facts show that Deshaun did anything wrong ... but we are nevertheless happy to continue the conversation around a reasonable settlement figure because we believe he can learn a lesson about having put himself in this situation,” Gaffield wrote Feb. 19 in an email Watson’s legal team publicly released this month.
“He wanted us to bid against ourselves,” Buzbee said. “And I was done.” '

The NFL has two big decisions on their hands: Deshaun Watson & Aaron Donald! Both stars are now in legal trouble, but will the NFL take action against either of them?

In the meanwhile, the world's most recognizable porn star, Ron Jeremy, is facing similar accusations but being held on a $6 million bond. The problem with Jeremy is that he is so ugly, people might accuse him of being guilty based just on his looks, whereas Watson is a fit star athlete who has no trouble meeting ladies so many people will think the accusers are only after his money. I guarantee Watson will not be treated as harshly by the courts as the Hedgehog!

Yes, it's a game. If names are known the defense hopes that some will be scared and drop charges. It has been going on for years. Only issue is that with all the social media it's not as reliable as it once was. You would get letters in the mail and stuff before. With no return address or anything not much anyone could do. But now, if you wanted you can track everything right to the person who sent it (posted it). Meaning people have to be really careful about what they say. If she wants she could go after someone who posts a death threat. It is by law a terroristic (sp) threat. Which is a criminal offense.
 
Yeah. I talked to a sergeant at work today with the sheriff’s office and what he said didn’t make any sense to me. I asked him what he thought was going to happen and he said he didn’t know. Only that he spoke to some of his HPD folks and they think it’s a cash grab. My response, was well HPD announced and confirmed there are two ongoing investigations. I told him i wouldn’t put stock in what they said after the way they handled the Harding street raid.

How is it not relevant? Its showing two similar cases and how the reaction from public and the police has been different. Which further shows why many of these women went civil and wanted their names hidden both of which several on this board have used as a reason not to trust them. It also is an example of why Buzbee might not trust the police on how they would investigate.

And that right there is why I'm not sure I trust HPD to properly investigate it. If they are going in with preconceived ideas then it will influence how they view the evidence.

You're mostly right, personally I don't think the DA will take it to the grand jury because I don't think the DA will want the political storm that this case would be. The grand jury is basically just a chance for the DA to do a trial run with how strong their case is. The defense is even there and has no chance to speak so the prosecution can present their case and evidence to a grand jury without any counter. The grand jury afterwards can either recommend pursuing the case or not but it doesn't determine any guilt or innocence. It just lets the DA take a few practice swings and see if they could get a jury to buy what they are selling and if its even worth making the sales pitch.

This is PRETRIAL CONSOLIDATION.............NOT TRIAL CONSOLIDATION. The trials will still take place in separate courts. It is meant to streamline the information/paper work and court "clean up"............to get to court.

Probably will have to pay up or a judge may think it is criminal. Which can happen. OJ won the criminal case and lost the civil trial. This is the reverse of that. True its not murder, but it is not going to be pretty if even 1 woman files a criminal complaint against Watson. Which I think is going to happen IF the threats keep coming.

Stoerner and Locker can hardly put two words together, let alone two sentences. 610 must give illiteracy tests before they are qualified to become one of their broadcasters.
