Browns fans theorized that Watson created a burner after the loss to defend himself. The account "LeroyBickers4" was created recently but didn't start posting anything until shortly after the game. Watson is the only person the account follows.

You know I have found closure. I will watch this train wreck but I don’t think I will get as much satisfaction as I would have last year or the previous year.

I went to Caserio General Hospital. It is off of McNair way. I was able to get seen by a team of doctors led by Dr. Demeco Ryans. He prescribed me Stroud. The only side effect is the heightened expectations of winning a Superbowl. Which I can live with.

Since then I have been fine. Any time I get depressed I just remember to take my Stroud.

I believe that Watson opened the account originally for the purpose NOT of defending himself against future criticisms, but for anticipation of being able to spew accolades directed towards him for what he believed would be stellar performance upon his return.

................so much for the best laid plans of mice and men.................. :)

Embarrassed doesn't know what to say when he has been saying for so long that Watson has done nothing and is entirely innocent !!!!!!! With the wording of the new civil filing, there must be a criminal complaint which Hardin probably has been blindsided by.

With adult sexual assault carrying a 10 year statutes of limitation, once this is widely publicized, this revelation will bring more cases out for both civil and criminal. This time period even takes you back to Watson's Clemson's days.

Just because the NFL or Watson or even Harden is not aware of any criminal investigation, doesn't mean that this is not being investigated at this time by the police. This is not unusual. Often The Target, his attorney and outside entities are not informed until charges are about to be made or a grand jury is about to be convened over the matter.

It would be funny if Rusty decided that this is a no win situation for Watson, especially if he lied to Hardin,....... To cut bait and run from defending him. Hardin's ego probably would not be able to take losing after he's so emphatically defended Watson by saying that all the previous allegations are absolutely false and that Watson has never sexually assaulted any woman!

Exactly. Seems to me the Watson may not have told the NFL. If he did, there is a reason they are treating this as a new allegation. Well two reasons. It did not happen in the same event cycle and they expect that there could be charges.

I know there are some dumb people in the world, but if I were the Browns & I knew about this I'd be thinking this is a way to dump the guy & getting my money back.

How does this usually work? Does Watson’s reluctance to play through pre season and poor grasp of his offensive scheme stem from the distraction caused by this case imminently reaching the public domain? Much like his actions preceding the first set of complaints would seem to indicate troubled waters in his personal life having an impact on his career.

Surely it must all be linked?

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. And I always think back to the finger sniffing thing, thinking that’s really odd but okay we’ll turn a blind eye because we want our 1st round QB to be great, but he was taking the piss out of all of his victims in front of a huge audience all along. What a prick. Hope he rots in prison.

Watson upon leaving Houston always had problems seeing the field, consistently being accurate, and making intelligent decisions. He had no problems recently enjoying vacations and such.......................his poor play was solely based on his chronic mental inadequacies, and reliance on running, his total reliance on having total control of everything. That in addition to his shoulder injury/surgery sealed the deal.

This is exactly what should have been expected when handing over the keys to someone so inadequate and egotistical.

Here is a statement from Hardin's Law firm website essentially relating that “I believe that any allegation that Deshaun forced a woman to commit a sexual act is completely false."

In a recent statement, Hardin acknowledged the tremendous courage it takes for victims of sexual assault to share their stories but spoke out regarding the atmosphere surrounding the case and the ways in which social media has been weaponized in order to stir up public sentiment against Watson by Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the women involved in these matters.

Hardin’s full statement has been published below.

“I want to emphasize at the outset that we and Deshaun recognize that sexual assault and harassment are not only unlawful, but morally wrong. It takes courage for women to come forward to report being mistreated, particularly when they attach their names to a lawsuit. We do not take these allegations lightly. However, fairness to the accused is equally as important.

“Opposing counsel has orchestrated a circus-like atmosphere by using social media to publicize 14 ‘Jane Doe’ lawsuits during the past seven days in a manner calculated to inflame the public and malign Deshaun’s otherwise sterling reputation. In addition, the tactic of refusing our requests to confidentially provide the names of the plaintiffs so we can fully investigate their claims makes uncovering the truth extremely difficult. Anonymity is often necessary as a shield for victims, but opposing counsel has used it as a sword to publicly humiliate Deshaun before the truth-seeking process can even begin.

“I believe that any allegation that Deshaun forced a woman to commit a sexual act is completely false. And in the one case in which we have been able to identify a plaintiff, we have strong evidence showing the allegation is false. In January of this year, a woman attempted to blackmail Deshaun by demanding $30,000 in exchange for her “indefinite silence” about what she stated was a consensual encounter. It is our belief this woman is the plaintiff in Cause No. 2021-15613. This calls into question the legitimacy of the other cases as well.

“We have received numerous unsolicited comments in the past week from many licensed massage therapists who have worked with Deshaun in recent years. These women describe him as a gentleman and a model client who never engaged in inappropriate conduct. Indeed, before these salacious claims, everyone who associated with Deshaun described him as an outstanding, respectful, and compassionate man.

“Again, we are taking the allegations very seriously, and we ask only that people not rush to judgment, that people not be unduly influenced by opposing counsel’s antics, and that they let fundamental fairness to both sides rule the day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

I don't think suspension will come quickly with the NFL's policy now of "let the legal play out." And as far as the legal now, I believe that this time, the investigators will want every "I" dotted and "T" crossed before finalizing their move.

These are quotes from Hardin's webpage.... did he just rinse & repeat his statement from way back when, or are there 14 new lawsuits?

However, it was suggested that there is a criminal case being investigated by HPD. If that were the case wouldn't Hardin know the name of the Jane Doe? I mean the questions the cops would be asking should narrow the possibilities down quite a bit.
 
I know Watson is likely a douchebag but why did this woman wait until now? Especially when there was a raft of complaints registered a couple of years ago?

The old website statement I posted (which is still obviously on the website) was from Watson's old cases. I specifically quoted what was posted to emphasize how adamant Hardin was in Watson never having ever sexually assaulted any female.

You need to read more about the classic psyche of sexual assault victims. ............and specifically the history of what happened in the social media and media in general directed against the victims
 
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk recently discussed the idea of the Browns cutting Watson if he does get suspended by the league again.

"If it [the Browns cutting Watson] were to happen before the start of the 2025 season, the Browns would avoid $92 million in currently guaranteed salary obligations," Florio wrote. "That said, it would still come with a cost. Not in actual dollars but in cap dollars. Watson’s contract eventually would trigger a total cap charge of $80.77 million. If he was released after June 1, 2025 (or designated as a post-June 1 release), the cap charge would be $26.935 million for 2025 and another $53.835 million for 2026."t

Florio makes this much simpler than it would be..............................The wording of his contract stipulations for default are not cut and dry and can be found to be challenged...................and this doesn't even rule out litigation over attempting to remove him.

My sister was date raped in highschool and didn't talk about it until she was in her 30's. A large amount of rape cases go unreported.. doesn't help when 30 sum odd number of women report a crime and the accused gets off and is rewarded with a 230 million dollar contract.
 
Anyone think it would be below Haslam to have paid and coached this lady to come forward and file this new lawsuit? Of course, then it’s leaked to the press to up the pressure. Watson is a douchebag and has cashed in at Haslam’s own screw up. My guess, Haslam and his lawyers are working behind the scenes to get this contract null and voided due to conduct unbecoming of team policy. Haslam is ruthless and the last thing he wants….to feel like Watson is sneaking into his room every night and giving it to him slowly while whispering Super Bowl in his ear.

No. This has nothing to do with Haslam coaching this woman, (did not happen) because there are others that are equally as bad as this one and worse that have not yet been publicly reported.
