Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

cbs1507

They were filed separately. HPD officially announced the first one in April. Corrosion and Cloak both stated women had gone the criminal route in March. And many of those women don’t have anything to do with Buzbee.
This is hearsay. Now the first one was filed April (not May like I said in my previous comment) but that was still after they filed 22 Jane Doe lawsuits. And the rest only filed recently. I could careless if they officially were attached to the lawsuit or not, because the timing looks suspicious as they never reported it at the time of the alleged incidents, only after it became a public spectacle.

False? Um, you're wrong. You might want to reassess your stance after scrolling down and seeing what the other posters stated.
Your post said 6-7 women that weren't tied to the case went to the police in June. You ARE WRONG. The earliest police reports were 2 women who filed in April after they filed Jane Doe lawsuits in March. The later police reports were filed in July and just 2 were said to not be associated with filed lawsuits.

Rest assured , those criminal charges are coming sooner than later.

I've told you guys for months that those criminal cases were what matters .... I stand by that today , from what I've been told its a matter of when not if those charges are brought.

Also Harden's crap about the FBI investigating extortion is a total falsehood , they are investigating Internet crimes - the use of the internet to lure victims AGAINST Watson.
And you know this how? I'll believe it when I see it. As far as we know, the investigation is about extortion against Watson...allegedly.

On the contrary, you don't if you believe all women.
I didn't say anything about believing all women.

I do believe at the very least some of the 30 some odd women, including some that aren't part of the complaints are telling the truth.

Come on man. Fandom is 1 thing, denial is a totally different animal.

These posters have over almost 2 decades worth of proof that they dont put any false information out there.

Tell me more about your credibility?

Your premise once again makes no sense. Multiple women who are NOT associated with Buzbee went straight to the police. I don’t care how it looks to you. It was enough to get the feds involved. They generally don’t waste time on false allegations.

I said something like 6 or 7, turned out to be more. Lol, but whatever you say.

If you watched Tua today you can see why Miami cooled off on Watson. Watson looks like a sandlot hero by comparison. Of course, Tua has to do it next week, and the week after, etc etc.
Tua will not be successful long term the NFL, IMO

Last time I checked it was 22 (plus 2 not in the lawsuits), none of whom filed any criminal complaints at the time of the alleged incidents, or before making this a public spectacle and filling civil lawsuits. Whether it was 24 or 30 some odd, is irrelevant though cuz, none of them independently went to the police at the time of the alleged incidents, and only came forward after Buzbee started seeking "vicitms" on social media. If "some" of them independently filed criminal complaints at the time of the alleged incidents I might be inclined to share you sentiments that some of them aren't lying. But absolutely none of them did, and the lawyer went to social media looking for "victims."

"Multiple women" are 2 that only filed it in July. You cannot even tell me what these women claimed, just that they allegedly have no ties to Buzbee. All we know for a fact is ZERO women filed these criminal complaints independently at the time of the alleged incidents, only AFTER this whole thing became a public spectacle. Are you telling us that these women in no way had any contact with Buzbee, or any lawyer, before they went and file those 2 police reports in July?

They are not represented by Buzbee and appear to not be seeking money. They went straight to the police.

No they didn't go straight to the police cuz otherwise there would've been a police report around the time of the alleged incident. They may or may not be represented by Buzbee, but if you think they don't have a lawyer at all then you are naive. All it says is that they weren't apart of the lawsuit.

You know, it’s real sad you think ALL sexual assault incidents are reported right after they happen. They are not. Many aren’t reported at all. And the statue of limitations do not expire on such allegations for quite some time so they were well within the timeframe

CBS, you are certainly on a roll!

Before making the cavalier statements regarding the timing of going to the police, you might want to educate yourself about sexual assault victims and their typical timing to report their issue with the police. Over 90% of these sexual assaults are never reported to the police. And only a handful of the remaining 10% or so report these assaults to the police in in anywhere close to real-time. And finally, only approximately 25% of these assaults are ever reported to anyone at any time.

They would be crazy not to have a lawyer.

You seem to forget about the woman in SI that filed neither a civil or criminal complaint.

Those darned numbers seem to be getting in the way of CBS theory.

The statement you made about a police report for someone alleging sexual assault would have been filed around that time of the incident is egregiously false. And infuriating
I think is sad your imagination extracts things that isn't there. Where did I say that?

I can see why people say they can’t wait for this thread to be closed…
I'm living for the day when we can put all of this behind us. . .or at least move this one to the NFL section.

I mean, I'm also living for a lot of other things, too, but man, I really look forward to the day that this thread dies. It's the giant forehead pimple of the forum, y'know?

Ok well then there goes your theory about "see she didn't file a lawsuit so it's not about money". As though she cannot pursue civil court down the line after she filed the criminal complaint.

How could we forget about Miss Mary, if that's even her real name since they said it is an alias? Well if that SI article used an alias to protect her identity, then how do you know that she wasn't 1 of the 22 Jane Does?

Well one reason why someone wouldn't report a sexual assault to the police is because one didn't occur in the first place. So we will likely never know the true number of those that are false vs legitimate.

The SI reporter said she wasn't.

According to you everybody associated with this case is lying but the 3rd string QB's word can be taken as gospel Even though he's already been shown to lie.

The article I read said there were 19 lawsuits at the time it was published. Last time I checked there were 22 Jane Does total, which means at 3 others filed after the SI article.

You obviously never have been associated with or know anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault

Your mindset is why witchhunts occur.
Let me just remind you that we are on a sports message board, which is the domain of some of the most misogynistic, patriarchal and whatever other feminist's trigger words you can think of are put on a daily display. So when you got people here telling you that you are on the wrong side of the sexual assault conversation, you might want to listen instead of doubling down on the dumbass.

Yeah right

LMAO.
Yeah right. If I say it's one reason why. And your response is "your logic is all girls" then you're clearly a jackass with comprehension issues. Cuz nowhere did I say it is the ONLY reason, I clearly said it was A REASON.

Last time I checked it's innocent until proven guilty. And you cannot show 1 place where I condoned sexual assault. So do tell me what is "wrong side" in this discussion, (seeing that we have no evidence beyond allegations that suspiciously surfaced around the same time)?

Whether found guilty or not in a court of law your guy is obviously a threat to society.

Did I say that you were condoning sexual assault? No, I did not. What I can show is the post quoted above where you say that because none of these women filed a criminal complaint at the time of the alleged assault and that they have only come forward as part of these civil lawsuits, you are not inclined to believe them.

First, you have already been provided real world, confirmed and easily Googled data that the vast majority of women do not report sexual assault at the time that it happens. Not to be Captain Obvious, but this is why we have Statute of Limitation laws.

Second, the civil lawsuit is the preferred path for many dealing with a "he said/she said" case involving rich men with strong connections to local leaders.

Third, why do you think my first two points happen? Because many times they can't even get the authorities to open a case, they are intimidated to not pursue or (much like what you are doing) their character is impugned beyond recognition in a very public way.

So no, I don't believe all women, but I am compelled to listen to them honestly and openly. Because I have a single daughter living in another city. Heaven forbid anything ever happen to her, but if it did I would want her to be able to tell her story to the proper authorities and not have to defend what she was wearing, how much she was drinking, what did she say to lead him on, or any other version of "she had it coming to her" excuse from a bunch of men like you before they would even file the complaint or have it dismissed.

You on the other hand have already rapped the gavel in your own court of opinion and determined on nothing other than egregious and debunked assumptions that these women are not to be believed.
