Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis

Pick #98 is not tradeable this year, it's a comp pick. If Broncos Swap first RD picks and add #63 and #94 that gives them enough to move up to #16. If Broncs swap 1st and add #63 that's enough to move to #19.

The Ravens traded up from #26 to draft Flacco. That's a lot closer to the end than the middle. The Texans had #18 which is only two ahead of where the jets are now.

I thought God'ell changed the rule that comp picks can be traded. For instance the Rams are sending the Janoris Jenkins 2017 rd comp pick to the Tacks as part of the Goff trade. If they dont get a 3rd rd comp pick for Jenkins the Rams will send their 3rd and the Tacks will send back a 7th as compensation.

Accuracy percentage under pressure in 2015:

Paxton Lynch (Memphis): 70.3%

Jared Goff (Cal): 64.7%

Carson Wentz (North Dakota State): 54.7%

Me thinks that might've been because he was throwing little bubble screens and slants all the time rather than throwing down the field.

What about Osweiler?
If you're asking about his accuracy under pressure, I don't have his exact percentage.........but PFF ranked him 17th of NFL QBs.

Keep in mind that that's in the NFL (not in college). Last year Mariotta ranked 26th with a 52.5 % accuracy under pressure, and Winston ranked worse at 50.9%.

On passes that traveled over 20 yards in the air, Lynch was accurate on 51.8 percent of them. That was fifth in the nation and would have led the NFL last season where the competition is tougher. Flacco by contrast was accurate on just 37.2 percent of those passes.

And to address Mr Tex's concern........from the same piece:

Just four routes (bubble screens, out routes, hitches and gos) account for 52 percent of the attempts Lynch had this past season and this offense provides every bit as many problems for QB evaluation as the Baylor-style spread offenses that people rail against.

Some more that PFF has to offer on Lynch

I saw him up close against UH when they came here...outside of his physical tools and stature, I wasn't impressed. Didn't do much of anything except throw hitches, outs and a couple of slants. The guy in the article references his deep ball accuracy, as a strength of his citing his passer rating numbers.....but the clip he used, a 3 step drop out of shotgun where he's throwing to a spot moreso than trying to hit the WR in stride was just not pertinent to what he was trying to say at all. 1, I wouldn't even call that a deep pass...It's closer to an end zone jump ball throw that every qb in the NFL can make than what he's trying to pass it off as. 2nd, it's easy to get your timing and be accurate on those types of throws out of shotgun..That same pass or something deeper has an entirely different feel timing and accuracy wise when coming from under center.

I like the physical tools, but I'm pretty positive he'll be nothing more than a tease in the NFL..flashes here & there in between a bunch of bad qb play. That progression to the 2nd & 3rd read thing....intermediate passing thing.....that's kind of a big deal Mr. Monson.

Lynch is turning some heads in Denver but he is still a 1 look, 1 read QB. If he can over come that he could become a good QB. His 1 look is playing well against the 3rd teams it will turn in to INTs against the A Teams

He seems to have good escapability. That, plus keeping his wits & looking down field, he can win a bunch of games with that one look approach as he developes in the NFL.
