**Official Game-Day Thread** Texans at Bengals, Thursday Sep 14, 2017!!

C'mon man, It;s his first start. Get off his butt. The guy beat Satan and Bama by himself with a minute to go.
Some of his troubles is a matter of coaching and some is on DW. I am not on his butt but I am not going to praise him more than he deserves. He clearly has work to do in regards to his arm and accuracy as well as making better decisions at times. I have faith he will be a pretty good QB. I am not one of those who post the negative without bringing up what is positive. DW has a lot of upside and I myself in previous post have said I think he could be special. My opinion on him has not changed.

I don't feel bad about Strong being invisible. This is Carr 2002 all over again. I doubt that Watson ever looks past his first read and if he does have time to do it he goes right to his safety valve or pulls it down and runs.

Yup he's locked in on Nuk and it's become easy to defend

Anybody else noticing that none of our wide receivers all of a sudden CAN NOT GET OPEN AND GETS NO SEPERATION....... and can't catch at all now...... even Deundre Hopkins seems to be bobbling ever catch he gets ...... he has some of. The best hands in the NFL period so for some reason I think he's still hurt....... he's dropping more then he catches and that's not like NUK

Just fair catch every punt. One of our stupid "special" team players is guaranteed to do something stupid.

Can't fault him..he's doing what he has to protect his young qb & keep the game close enough to try to steal it in the end. Expect a lot of spread and throw in the 4th if it stays close.

I understand all that. My point is throw a screen pass. Swing the back out and dump it. Don't run up the gut with 9 in the box

You are hating. You're holding this kid to an unrealistic standard. This is his rookie season..2nd game as a pro. He's not gonna come out throwing and recognizing coverages like he's a 4th year pro...especially dealing with the handicap that is our offensive line.

You're not looking at his performance in the proper context.
I am simply being realistic in regards to those practically writing his ticket to the HOF based on one play. I have said he has a lot of potential. My responses in regards to his play is that people need to be realistic. I would like to see him throw better passes. He has done some good things and I see the light at the end of dark Qb tunnel. Rookie playing his first game as a starter is a good reason for some growing pains but he does need to work more on his passing and on reading defenses. I am sure he will.

With BO'b calling the shots it is wonder any Qb can have success.

There goes NUK bobbling a catch again......... he has super hands...... in beginning to think he's not 100% healthy from that preseason hand injury

Hopkins can't hold on to anything and this two weeks in a row. He pretty much single handedly bobbled away Savage's shot at starting and now he's this close to holding Watson under 100 yards. He's got to be hurting or something.

Doesn't he have an injured hand or wrist?

I forget who, but some fast food place is giving away free burritos if the Texans score more than 2 TD's in any game this year. They're keeping those.

He's not doing that b/c that's exactly what the defense is expecting. You hold plays like that back when the defense starts getting desperate. Remember we're winning right now.
